The somewhat-belated Second Quarter 2015 Pledge Drive for a New Improved We Hunted the Mammoth has come to a close, and once again I am humbled by your generosity.
Your contributions (monetary and otherwise) make it possible for me to not only continue with this blog but to improve it as well. Over the past year, this blog has been reaching more people than ever, regularly racking up more than a million page views a month.
Your contributions this time will also be going to pay for a redesign of the blog that will make the blog easier to navigate and use; for commenters here, the blockquote monster will be vanquished at last. Moving to a new host will also mean (fingers crossed) less-annoying ads. (If you have suggestions for features to add, or blog clutter to get rid of, add your thoughts to the discussion here.)
If you haven’t gotten around to donating yet, you still can, right here! You don’t need a PayPal account; credit cards are accepted, and there are other options as well. If you’re outside the US, PayPal will automatically convert your weird non-American money into American bucks.
Actually, you can donate whenever you want, with the button in the sidebar.
And I will also be starting a Patreon shortly, for those who would prefer to donate a little every month rather than a lump sum. (You can theoretically donate every month with PayPal, but there are often technical glitches with that.)
Let me express my thanks, as I always do on such occasions, with a collection of ridiculous animated gifs. Some of you have been requesting more puppies on this blog, so here you go:
I have not forgotten about kitties:
Hooray! I’m happy that this went well. :3
Have a kitty gif:
@Paradoxical – that is the best kitten gif I have ever seen PLEASE REVEAL THE PROVENANCE!
@saphy: I found it on tumblr, I don’t know the original source. :/
The kitty gif is from a 1932 film called Counterplan. It’s at the end of the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqlydqUej4U
Yaaaay! Ridiculous animated gifs! 😀
Nothing beats the cheerfulness of adorable little animals.
Thanks, everyone, and also KITTIES
