That might be effective when you’re preaching to the choir, but when you’re taking the comments made so recently that they’re still on the same page and heavily editing them in a way transparent to anyone reading this? I’d love to have an actual discussion on the topics, but that requires two sides to show up, and you aren’t interested in an honest discussion. You cherry-pick the replies you get so as to present the best argument you can. If you were interested in truth instead of winning you’d be addressing the arguments you can’t deal with. This very much includes the accusations of bias and selective attention that have been leveled at you. You’d also be addressing things in an organized fashion instead of this scatter-shot Gish gallop.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. If the Catholic church acted in any way similar to that of those feminists in the video then shame on them and what they stand for…but this same logic applies to those feminists and what they stand for.
…lets just take a moment to look at that video which documented the incident. On one side we have the Catholics and on the other we have the feminist girls. The catholics refrain from insults, from attacks and don’t show any form of violence. They respond to the violence, perpetrated against them by the feminists, with non-violence, which is a great dead on their part. The feminists on the other hand spit on and physically assault the catholics and even go so far as shoving their private parts into those boys and spray painting over their private parts which I am sure would be classified as a sexual assault by feminist standards, if it were done by those men against the girls. I am sure it would have caused an outrage amongst feminists if it had been the other way around. The boys had fromed a circle around the church to protect it from the feminists who were attacking and vandalising it…All in all, I think the actions of both sides speaks volumes for what both sides stand for and the Catholics come out as clear winners in this incident.

The facts are, the catholic church tries to shut down the Encuentro every single time, and in failing to do so they stand in the way of people whom they know are going to freeze peach all over the place, and only have a few minutes each year to do so.
The people at the church don’t need to be physically violent because their church already had pasted posters all over the city calling the women “murderers” and making shit up on tv and radio to make people scared and angry.
This video is the ultimate example of taking everything out of every possible context -hence why copypasters love it – and you pretending it’s a good behaving conpetition with catholics is HI-LARIOUS.

@THEMISHMISHEH, feminist and masculine are not referring to remotely similar things. “Masculine” refers to male gender norms. “Feminist” refers to a movement (or philosophy) seeking to reduce the enforcement of gender norms – particularly on the norms placed on women and girls (hence the name) but also true in a general sense.

It’s actually arguable if words have specific meaning beyond the feelings that they make you feel – ontology and epistemology are very interesting topics! I don’t slice that deep into the reality pie with my research very often, though, so I can’t say what the consensus might be on it. I know that after staring at ontology trees long enough I can say that they all make me feel a little nauseous, though, but that’s probably just math toxicity talkin’.

I think THEMISHMISHEH has realized that trying really hard and spouting invective isn’t “winning”, and so has changed tacks and is now trying to out-apathy everyone ignoring them. Which is just kinda sad because they came here, and could just, you know, stop posting. But I guess then they wouldn’t have the satisfaction of letting us know how much they don’t care. Or something.
How does everyone feel about jelly beans? I didn’t like them as a kid but then jelly bellies came along. I don’t eat jelly bellies anymore, but I like all the new jelly bean flavors. Sweet and sour starburst jelly beans are my favorite.

Jelly Bellies are the best! I try not to get them too often because they’re kind of pricey and because I always end up gobbling the whole bag. My favorite is the espresso kind. Starburst jelly beans are pretty good too. Not as good as jelly bellies though.
