@Fabe: I haven’t been on in weeks. A combination of my kids getting to bed late and a few adventures that just have to be written. Plus Tumblr isn’t going to read itself (if an argument occurs on Tumblr, and no one is around to see it, does anybody get angry?).

I like the word apoplectic. I never get to use it enough. But I don’t think it’s really a synonym for hysterical, though.

“Unstable”, “volatile” and “unpredictable” would be my descriptors of such behaviour. Then again, so would “terrifying”: I’ve had such people in my life and it’s something I’m wary of nowadays.

To be honest, most of their “arguments” were that “all feminism is radical because it stems from radical ideas like “rape culture” and “patriarchy”, and the roots of feminism are radical, so all feminism is radical and all feminists want social degradation of society!”, “All feminists think alike and since you don’t think like them, you’re just a drone!”, and “All feminists care about is abortion and their pussies because that’s all I see them talk about, and they’re not capable of caring about more than one thing at a time!”

So, lulz were had, then I blocked him because he started to repeat and I got bored. Oh, and they kept calling me “dummy” like we were on the fucking playground.

Glad there’s an open thread because I really wanted to post this and say that MRAs are human garbage. This takes me back to when I first looked in to them online. It was an eerie experience because i was basically new to the internet and thought, “oh men’s rights, that sounds great!” and because I had already known quite a bit about domestic violence, I saw some stomach churning things and was like omg these guys are abusers. Sure enough they were coined the abusers lobby. Was so relieved when I heard that term. Anyway. here’s a really horrible article from buzzfeed that just came out about women and child abuse and how often, even though they are not the abuses, they are sentenced to ridiculously long sentences, longer than the abusers, and other points you always knew MRAs were lying about. It needs a serious trigger warning.

I have no idea when something is going to trigger me, so the warnings don’t help I have to go with how I feel. I felt I could handle this, and I’m now up at 3 am with dilated pupils, and will probably see sunset. Those are the breaks. I did read this hours and hours ago and have managed myself ok.
