Janet Bloomfield — the slur-spewing A Voice for Men “social media director” better known as JudgyBitch — has launched a rather unique fundraiser on Patreon: In addition to funds to spend on better videomaking equipment, she’s asking her supporters to send her $800 for a crossbow so she can “shoot the feminists in the face.”
JB isn’t joking; she’s an avid bowhunter, and she has her crossbow all picked out.Â
Of course JB claims that the weapon will only be used in self-defense, in case some angry feminist shows up at her door with an axe or something. But in the video above, posted to her Patreon page, she describes her fantasy of using it to maim or kill a feminist in detail, and with great relish.
She starts waxing poetic about what she calls the “angel of death crossbow” at 8:32 in the video above. Here are some of the highlights.
In this first clip, she describes what she would do to any “little brave feminist” who showed up at her door unarmed but seeking a confrontation.
The tl;dr? She would shoot them in the gut with her crossbow, dead center, in an attempt to sever their spine and leave them paralyzed. “You’re gonna drop,” she says, “and you’re never getting back up again.”
As for those who show up at her door with “a hammer, an axe, a knife, a gun” or other weapon, she promises to shoot them dead without warning. “I would love to do it with that beautiful angel of death crossbow,” she says, with a certain manic glee. “Let’s buy Janet a crossbow so she can shoot the feminists in the face!”
MRAs, male and female, seem to spend an awful lot of time and energy fantasizing about doing great harm to their opponents. But this is the first time I’ve seen one actually set up a Patreon fundraiser so they can buy a deadly weapon.

@WWTH: “So Iâm in a weird place and not sure whatâs appropriate behavior anymore.”
I think I’m going to steal that for my epitaph.
@WWTH
I’m flattered. However, if you ever kidnap me, I’ll have you know I’m not as snarky in life since words don’t to tongue well for me. Also, you’d have kidnapped me. I don’t think anyone would be snarky then.
Pandapool-“IDK why. Probably because Iâm a sadist.”
I think it is VERY important to call people out on their bad behavior. People get away with too much on the internet. Trolls have to learn that WHTM is not Reddit. I also don’t think people should hesitate to correct someone if their information is wrong, either. I have been guilty of being mistaken and posting incorrect information a couple of times and people have not hesitated to politely correct me. I find it helpful because I don’t want to misinform people. However, If someone deliberately posts misinformation, people have the right to deal with them-rudely.
“I stand by my statement of having to have to do a quiz about the site rules before the first post. A very long one. For reasons.”
“No one gets to post unless they get it 100% right. And the questions are randomized and the answers arenât in the same place. And itâs over a 100 questions long.
For reasons.”
I was wrong, your ARE sadist! O.O LOL!
I sure do think some of the posters here like making every discussion about themselves and their mental illness hence the eagerness to use even a tangentially related remark as an opportunity to shriek âI have mental illness so letâs spend the next six pages talking about those two remarks in this discussion, both already thoroughly rebuked, and how they hurt me!â Lots of people enjoy talking about themselves and wallowing. I see a LOT of that here. Itâs fucking boring.
I hate to say it, but I agree.
Can we appoint one regular to be the person who says, “I understand what you’re saying, but we don’t use terms like ‘crazy’ here,” so we don’t get these dogpiles?
This nonsense completely derailed the most recent Sarkeesian Effect thread. Sarkeesian Effect threads should be for making fun of the Sarkeesian Effect guys. NOTHING TRUMPS MAKING FUN OF THE SARKEESIAN EFFECT GUYS.
Pandapool,
Don’t worry. I don’t have a car. So I probably wouldn’t be a very good kidnapper!
Shaenon,
I like that idea. Although maybe it should be two or three people in varying parts of the world? Some of us spend way too much time here (me) but nobody is here 24/7.

WWTH:
I used to listen to Coast to Coast AM all the time. I’d drive home from work at night to it, then put it on my radio as I went to bed. Good memories. Now I work while it’s on. Oh well.
marinerachel: *wishes every thread didn’t get derailed with this silly ableism business*
*derails every thread derailed by ableism with teal deers about how boring it is when threads get derailed by ableism*
I mean, if you’re going to respond on the subject at all, why not be the 88th person condemning the ableism? Ya know, instead of assuming the role of the obligatory person who shows up to say “I hate X as much as anyone but, instead of criticizing people who do X, I’m going to criticize those who criticize X because I’m tired of hearing about X.” My response to people who say thing like “I’m tired of hearing about [insert form of bigotry here]” is usually something along the lines of “That’s cute. People harmed by it are tired of living it.”
Art Bell was a great guilty pleasure. George Noory, meh. I stopped listening when Art retired.
Pandapool-That gif! OMG! I am STILL laughing!!
Aww he retired completely? He was still doing the weekend shows back when I listened. Sad.
So I love how people who slip up and use the phrase “no sane person” are now on a par with trolls from Gamergate who Have Come to Destroy Us. I love it as much as marinerachel’s comments lecturing everyone for derailing and boring her and being all me me me while she does exactly those things. Oh, and Pandapool’s suggestion that people take a quiz before commenting that’s over 100 questions long. Is this Shakesville?
I am a sadist too! I love watching all the trolls get ripped to shreds!
http://media.giphy.com/media/l41lXPwHWohc2kxGg/giphy.gif
I don’t know what Shakesville is.
@Cyberwulf
“Trolls from GG who Have Come To Destroy Us,” huh? That’s an interesting idea to get from what was basically “I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the drive-by ableism trolls were due to some GG-esque ‘let’s go bother the WHTM crowd’ thing.” Since they’re fond of badly-named, semi-organized drive-by trolling and all. Not that that was even one of the people I was referencing… though I could’ve been clearer on that point, I kinda forgot about that particular comment. >_>
@Pandapool
It seems that Cyber means this.
http://www.shakesville.com/?m=1
They seem to have a somewhat long-process comment policy, from a cursory glance, but not one that sounds like a terrible policy for a blog trying to be a safe space.
(And, uh, just because my brain likes to jump onto the ASSUME LITERAL train when it gets brought up, I’m just confirming that the overly-long quiz thing is just humor, yes? Because Cyber does not appear to be taking it as such.)
Right. It’s past midnight, so I think I’m off for sleeping now. Good night, all, and have my hopes against a repeat of January and whenever the heck the other threads of doom were.
andiexist-Good night. sleep well. đ
@andiexist
It wouldn’t be 100 questions.
http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/will-troll.gif
But, for real, I have no power over this site so I mean my unreasonable suggestion wouldn’t even think about getting implemented so I mean that’s just overreacting on anyone who takes it seriously.
I especially wouldn’t call myself a sadist when suggesting something seriously. That would just be a tinge bit too creepy…
…
For, you know, this…stuff…here…yeah…
@marinerachel
Thank you so much for saying the things coherently that I’ve wanted so badly to say. My first time commenting here I was dogpiled on for “abliest” language, and only the “abliest slur” was spoken about, not my contribution to the thread. I said I was sorry but that wasn’t enough and they wouldn’t shut up about me making a stupid offhand remark that I didn’t really mean as an insult.
Thank you, thank you so much.
I really, really hate how every goddamned thread follows this fformula:
-NORMAL DISCUSSION
-NEW PERSON / UNSEASONED COMMENTER USES OFFHAND ABLIEST REMARK
-ATTACKS ON PERSON/ABLEISM
-DISCUSSION IS NOW ABLEISM
It’s like attacking someone for their spelling or something else dumb (wait, is that abliest????) or some other miniscule misstep.
I’m tired of it. If albeist language is so taboo then put a banner or make a comments policy tthat is in bold at the top of the page to help prevent this.
Go ahead, compare me to MRAs or whatever makes you feel like ultra special ones defending the helpless, whatever, I don’t care. Or say HAHA NOW YOU’RE CONTRIBUTING TO A DERAIL! HYPOCRITE! GOTCHAA!!!
I just wanted to thank that commenter for putting so coherently into words stuff that I’ve been very timid to bring up for fear of being dogpiled / and derailing a thread.
Lea-Sounds WAY too familiar, doesn’t it? Marinerachel-Such terms phrases are blatant silencing tactics used to stop women from speaking out against things that affect them and to let the guilty party just do what ever they want. The expectation that women (and every other minority group) NEVER gets angry about the abuse and just put up with it is a very old one. Women have been putting up with such behavior for centuries and it really has got to stop.
*Such terms/phrases
@fantasyarmadillo
Pretty sure that’s what the fucking Comment Policy is for.
It’s, like, right there.
RIGHT THERE.
http://i.imgur.com/06MSbh3.png
Maybe people who want to comment on here seriously should read the Comment Policy because, obviously, every site has its own set of rules that people must follow.
Who the fuck jumps into a forum without at least reading people’s posts for a couple of days or at least the fucking Comment Policy unless their fuckheads who don’t think rules apply to them?
Hmm?
Hmm?
HMM?
Think about it.
Reported đ
Pandapool-Tell me about it! It is not like its particularly hard to spot.
fantasyarmadillo-It is right there at the top of the page for everyone to see. New visitors also receive a welcome package that explains all the site’s rules. That’s a rather pathetic excuse for ableism and ignoring the clearly outlined rules. If you choose to be willfully ignorant and you get called out on it, you have only yourself to blame.
