Like most people who grew up playing White Wolf games, I have a bone-deep love of them which cannot be lessened by such little things as the poor quality of the product or the badly thought out mechanics. That said, I’m a little taken back by the grammatical errors on that page: it’s very obviously written by a native Russian speaker whose English is good but not perfect, and who (more worryingly) doesn’t seem to have asked a native English speaker to check it. I’m concerned as to what this tells us about the attitude they’re bringing to the game.
I’m still going to buy it and play it to death, of course; I’m just worried that I may have to do so whilst all the in-game text is subtly wrong.

They don’t have any native English speakers on the team (completely Russian) but considering they’ve only been working on the game a year, from scratch, they aren’t that far into development nor have the resources yet to hire proper English translations. I’m sure once it gets closer to launch in several years or so, they’ll have proper grammar for all languages and regions. Hopefully with exposure they can get more money and people on their team to deal with translations and grammar.

I hope so. If nothing else, the web is probably crawling with people who would do it for free because they, too, were once bitten by White Wolf and now are forevermore infected. Oh the humanity.
Best of luck to them. I’ve been burned on the early access / greenlight bandwagon a little so I’m going to be cautious, but I very much hope they make something of it.

I hope so, too. I’ve had my heart broken too many times these last two year, with the canceling of WoD, White Wolf pretty much done in, and Project Vaulderie being ceased and desisted. I really want this to be good. Really good. Like, good enough to make Careless Crude Pissants RAGE at the fact that they canceled WoD so hard.
They be, like, “Oh, man! We could have TOTALLY HAD THAT MARKET LOCKED YO, but we were stupid enough to waste 8 years and MILLIONS of dollars on a project we just scraped and intellectual property we’re letting collect dust! WHY DID WE INVEST EVERYTHING IN DUST 514?! WE ARE SUCH IDIOTS!” And then they go bankrupt because they’re awful people.

Sadly CCP are sitting on a giant money printing machine called Eve Online, so I doubt very much that their ownership of White Wolf’s IP is going to be a big issue for them. It does make me rage that they aren’t doing anything with it, but if I started getting angry every time I noticed someone doing something which is rational and sensible in a capitalist world but requires you to be a sociopath, I wouldn’t have time to do anything else.
Ah well. I still have the old dog-eared green marble books and the ten-siders; and all else is dust.

Some of the lore looks rather promising, IMO. They have a corporation that specializes in blood magic for appliances and such. ‘Nother bit I like is, just like the canceled WoD, your character will start out human and you can stay human for as long as you’d like.
