Not only is rape far faaaar more common than shark attacks, a single shark attack often ends up with the retaliatory/fear driven killing of hundreds of innocent and unrelated sharks.
Like, can you imagine if we treated sexual predators the way treated sharks?
So the really offensive ones have been commented on, but I want to highlight the second one by that Mindbender jerk. I’ve heard the “She’s not a REAL geek” card get played thousands of times and yet every time I’m still dumbstruck by how terrible it is.
This scares the hell out of me. Are there really that many men so lost to their misogyny? How many people have to die or suffer violence before this bullshit stops?

Surprised at the number of seats the SNP got. I just hope they get Scotland its independence ASAP because I'm kinda concerned they'll just try to squeeze the English taxpayer for as much as they can get out of us.

Oh, and a fellow British person I am also feeling pretty down about the election results; I’d been hoping for a Labour/SNP/Green coalition. I knew the LibDems would get buried, but I didn’t think they lose to the Conservatives.
Now let’s see if the Conservatives do continue to destroy the benefit system and the NHS while driving up house prices for the NIMBYs who voted for them. I’ve never been more grateful to be in the position of donating to food banks rather than having to register at one.
As a non-Brit, I am quite afraid that they might kick the EU while it’s down. I hope they come to their senses soon.

Um…can I raise a hand and say that I’m kind of happy about the results? I’m trying to become an entrepreneur and Labour seems to have it in for small/medium sized companies. The Tories are a bit TOO protective of the upper middle classes, but at least they’re not willing to destroy fresh businesses by taxing them into the ground.

Sunnysombrera, no they just encourage and enable big companies & wealthy individuals to get away with wholesale tax avoidance, raise VAT – and borrow more in 5 years than Labour did in 13.
And from a moral perspective; terminally ill people ordered to find work, benefit claimants committing suicide (or starving to death in some cases), food banks, the fact that the two biggest groups affected by ‘austerity’ (which several economists have described as economically unviable) are women and the disabled. Oh and there are more children living in poverty.
But hey, slightly lower taxes!
