Yet another Manosphere doofus thinks Bruce Jenner is “having a sex change because females get more attention.”

Is it all their fault?
Is it all their fault?

Blame it on Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie and Kris.

Following on the heels of Men’s Rights idiots Janet “JudgyBitch” Bloomfield and Christian J, a writer for Return of Kings is suggesting that Bruce Jenner is transitioning out of envy at the attention the assorted Kardashian women get from paparazzi and the press.

As David Garrett sees it, Jenner is upset that he’s been

perpetually upstaged and outshone by his now ex-wife Kris Kardashian, his daughters, and his stepdaughters. Despite his immutable achievements as a sportsman and national hero, Jenner was, as a man, undoubtedly emasculated by the reality that his past talent and glory meant nothing against the vainglory of the women in his family.

So, naturally, Jenner as turned to what Garrett sees as the most obvious solution: a sex change.

It comes as no surprise that Bruce Jenner has taken the path of “gender transitioning.” Has Jenner equated being female with the fame, “respect,” and adoration he seems to desperately crave? Plastic surgery to capture (or caricature) his long-gone looks failed to generate anything but observers’ mirth.

Somehow it doesn’t occur to Garret that Jenner’s surgeries just might possibly have been part of an attempt to look more, you know, feminine? To better align the outside with the inside?

So what other choice was there to make?

I’m pretty sure there are easier ways for an already famous person to get the public’s attention than this.

Jenner’s choice has been vindicated, however sickly, as he has reached a level of fame and recognition he never could have as a normal man in the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Sure, I mean, who doesn’t want the paparazzi dogging your every move and Twitterers making endless jokes about you while you are in the middle of a complicated and emotionally fraught process to become outwardly the gender you always knew you were?

Inasmuch as he has made what most ROK readers will regard as a reckless, bizarre, and mentally ill decision, I do feel sorry for Bruce Jenner. It is hard not to feel sorry for someone who had the world at his feet and then saw it stripped from him. Retirement is hard enough for former sporting champions, particularly those with an Olympic gold medal or NBA Championship MVP award.

Jenner retired — from sports, at least — nearly four decades ago, and has kept pretty busy since.

When you add the surreal life of being the so-called “patriarch” of the Kardashian-Jenner family, depression, and gender identity issues seemingly come with the territory.

Uh, Jenner has had “gender identity issues” since childhood.

The true terror of the Bruce Jenner saga is that it does nothing to dissuade the countless women who want to copy the lifestyles, asses, or lip-puckerings of Kim, Kylie, or Kendall.

Yeah, because that’s what it’s all about.

Naturally, the commenters on ROK are even more thoughtful than Garrett’s, er, analysis. By which I mean, holy crap, if you’re having a pretty decent day you might want to just skip the rest of this post.

LegallySpeaking hails Jenner’s marketing acumen:

[H]e’s upped the ante. As a man, a sex tape was not a big enough show stopper. Coming out as gay was now old hat.

But jumping on the emerging tranny train? Hallelujah, Brucy screamed blasphemously.

It’s telling how fake this is in that he’s not having the surgery, but merely “taking the hormones” and dressing like a woman. In other words, things he can lie about doing in private and then make a big show of  doing when the cameras are watching.

Brigadon has some interesting thoughts on military strategy:

You know, i am not normally a fan of muslims, but using fags and dysphorics as terminally-guided munitions sounds like a pretty good idea.

CamelJockey isn’t sold on the “attention whore” theory.

Bruce doesn’t crave the attention like the Kardashian women do. He doesn’t really care that much about being in front of the camera on the show.

He’s transitioning to a woman because he’s a weak man and his cunt wife and her daughters broke Bruce down mentally.

Leeroy Jenkins thinks it’s all about the balls, both figuratively and literally. Actually, he seems to have some difficulty telling real and figurative balls apart.

His whole life he trained his body physically, and his balls were shriveling up in the process. He had a male coach for his body but no male coach for his mind, and this is the result, utter confusion. He went through life with same “just be nice to wimminz and dey will luv u” nonsense that i and the rest of you guys started out with. I think the problem is, is that he can’t let this philosophy go because he wouldn’t be able to stomach the fact he’s been wrong his whole life. To him the problem can’t possibly be he has a lack of balls and has been grovelling at his daughters and ex-wife’s feet his whole life. It must be he was never meant to have balls in the first place.

An anonymous commenter wonders why Jenner wasn’t just spinning plates:

Bruce Jenner was olympic gold medalist. He could have been alpha male with harem. He’s fucked in the head mentally, probably molested as infant and can’t remember the experience. Its illegal in many countries for doctors to do gender re-assignment surgery, its considered taking advantaged of a mentally ill person for profit. American culture is sick from a disease called feminism, that wants traditional gender roles erased, so this behavior is celebrated.

doktorjeep is pretty sure that he knows “m2f trannies” better than they know themselves:

I have at times theorized on something about m2f trannies. Not sure if it’s true, but I took a course in human sexuality in college and got to see a host of interviews and accounts by trannies.

They all say the same thing “I feel free”.

Now I for one can’t understand this state of mind called freedom being based on that which dangles between the legs. But I can understand that this might be where the “omega tranny” thing comes from: a total dateless wonder so full up on man-hate dogma that they decide to get sex changes to get an upper hand in the game. But, if one were to sit there and think “hmmm. Women seem to get the upper hand in a rigged game and I can’t win. Therefore, become a woman…”, then that would in some ways be a (partially at least) open door to red pill thinking. …

[T]his could be the result of fathers or even a “culture in the family” of men thinking that to be a man is to be overworked downtrodden and miserable in some beta self-sacrifice to the happiness of the women. Now throw in sex change education and glorification of it …

You see being all work and no play, as a man, and having no say in the household (like hiding in a man cave for example), IMO, is how you raise a boy to become a woman, because you give him the impression through example that it sucks to be otherwise.

Brilliant theory, dude. Totally nailed it.

So… there exists in this culture a system of privilege based on sex and gender (okay, got it). And the people who benefit most from this system tend to be… women, and in particular trans women.

You know, they seem a tad confused…

Some of those comments (from the OP) sound like Goreans trying to blend in with Earth society.

I was in line at the supermarket earlier today. The woman in line ahead of me gestured at a magazine on the rack with Jenner’s picture on the front. “Whaddya think about that, that’s a surprise,” she asked. “I think it’s great that, at his age, he can finally start living his truth.” I somehow think she wasn’t expecting that response.

For all the crazy (and there is a lot of crazy), there is a speck of hope in these Jenner theories: they are predicated on the acceptance of his gender. At the very least claiming he will get more attention because he is a woman recognises the fact that he is a woman. It’s an odd kind of progress.

I don’t know much about transitioning and my personal take is, if someone is doing it they are doing it for a very good personal reason which is their personal reason and who am I to judge.

I read all this alpha gobbledygook and think why get so worked up and they appear to understand less than me. Does anyone know where I can hand in my white hetro male privilege entitlement cards for a refund?

When I read “I took a course… in college” I laughed at the person trolling RoK, because nobody could possibly say/type that with a straight face.

And then I read on.

I am now struggling with the realization that people, in fact, are shittier than I ever thought they could be.

>It’s telling how fake this is in that he’s not having the surgery, but merely “taking the hormones” and dressing like a woman.

Cis people tend to obsess over the surgery- probably because on some visceral level they get freaked out about the idea of not having a penis- and as a result, they tend to miss the fact that hormones are *way* more powerful, as medical treatments go. Hell, the only reason surgery exists is because that’s one of the few things hormones *don’t* do.

Which is why it baffles me that hormones somehow mean “it’s fake” – frankly, for a lot of people, hormones is all you really need (and I say this as a trans woman who has a consult for GRS booked in August).

I have at times theorized on something about m2f trannies. Not sure if it’s true, but I took a course in human sexuality in college and got to see a host of interviews and accounts by trannies.

I should have stopped right here because I knew this wouldn’t end well. Instead, I went and read the original post because I tend to make poor life decisions.

I’m a bit surprised a TeRPer would put a “not sure if it’s true” disclaimer before expounding at length on a bullshit theory yanked straight from their butt. And, good golly, does the OP ramble on and on about said theory.

Also, I’m starting to think doktorjeep is not an actual doctor.

But one thing I picked up, but never proved nor tried to prove, as the topic is so freaking politicized now nobody can discuss it without sperging, is that this “I feel free now” thing would be an indication that the “subject” may have come from a gynocentric household where the women get to have fun all of the time, gossip, dress up, be giddy, whatever, and the men get to be downtrodden, overworked, and miserable.
And this could be the result of fathers or even a “culture in the family” of men thinking that to be a man is to be overworked downtrodden and miserable in some beta self-sacrifice to the happiness of the women. Now throw in sex change education and glorification of it, it gets harder to blame some lad who grows up going through one room in the house with his mother and sisters and they are all happy and have fun things going on and confident and there’s dad in the living room worked half to death and sitting in front of the TV while bitter and wishing for death.

I’d like to point out that Jenner is 65 and therefore the grew up in 50s and 60s. Even if America was hive of nightmarish “gynocentric households” over half a century ago, there wasn’t a whole lot of “sex change education” happening at that time and it sure as shit wasn’t glorified.

@fruitloopsie “We have vagina buses and now tranny trains, I cant wait for what they’ll say about ships and planes”

Well, there’s already a cock carousel. Guess there could be an ace plane, and a non-binary airship, and a gay bulldozer, a lesbian submarine, pansexual helicopter, intersex hovercraft, etc.

It’d be like thunderbirds.
They could team up and go on missions for commander Katie. “All hail Katie!”

Also, redpillians always blather on about how a woman loses all appeal by the time she turns 25/23/18/other age in which she is less likely to take any of their shit, and Jenner passed that point quite a ways ago. So by their logic, forget getting MORE attention, Jenner should cease to exist in the public conciousness entirely, being a woman over a certain age and thus worthless to everyone ever.

There’s a certain reality that the MRAsshole movement has been outed as being as transexterminationist as white fundamentalist Christianity and/or radical fauxminists/gendercrit fauxminists (“T**Fs”, so-erroneously-called) and now they’re just flipping their metaphorical wigs about what to do regarding this coming to light.

See, MRAsshole theology used to be, long ago by MRA standards (five years, or three re-inventions of Grand Wizard Paul Elam) that trans women were just oppressed, misguided men and that they should have pity on us, but not recognize our gender, because *handwaving*. Remember, this is MRAworld, *handwaving* is valid “logic”.

At some point, surely after one of their klarogos (the inner guard of the MRM…er, I mean KKK) actually dealt with a real live trans woman who wasn’t down for being engendered and told how awful she was for not doing exactly what Grand Dragon Esmay had to say (Esmay does say we’re all, you know, self-loathing homophobes), they’ve been changing their posture to fall in line with all other pro-patriarchy transextermnationists, to a point that they’re either obsessed with a rapey level of detail about trans women’s bodies (Reddit’s MRBM forums) or just want us gone (Price, Esmay, Elam, Farrell) because we’re “violent” for having agency over our own bodies. Oh and then there’s the shitjob that the MRAsshole movement against gaming, #GamerGate, has done on women and minorities in gaming, but especially on trans women in gaming, or imagining that certain women in gaming are trans women and *using that to justify abuse and threats*. Nothing says “I’m your ally!” to me like using percieved/imagined gender identity as an excuse to harm women, eh?

You know, same shit that pro-patriarchy activists say about *just about any self-direction of women’s selfcare*. I’m pretty sure that’s ‘just a coincidence’, right?

Tessa good luck in August I’m hoping for Sept/Oct (crossing fingers).

I’m TG and of a similar generation to Bruce Jenner and when I grew up being GLBTI was not acceptable at all, in fact illegal in most places (like Britain at the time).

So you learned real fast to hide it totally, the options were imprisonment, being put in a mental institution (with drugs, ECT even lobotomies to ‘cure’ you). Of course you would be bullied and attacked even murdered if anyone suspected.

Over the years you tried to suppress all your feelings and often developed a ‘manly’ exterior to hide it all (and as attempts at ‘self curing’). And you do many things like work insanely hard, do lots of physicaly risky things, drink too much, take drugs …all to shut out that little voice in your head which keeps saying ‘I feel wrong’.

And you get married and/or have relationships and sort of live, some don’t and suicide directly or indirectly along the way.

Until you finally run out of energy hiding it all and your ‘coping/hiding/denying’ mechanisms collapse and you have to face yourself and choose life or death. It is that stark a choice by then.

I chose life, others didn’t, in fact I was lucky to survive as long as I did.

So you start transtioning, full of fear and worry and with zero confidence…and bit by bit you start to feel better. And then you get to a point where you feel good, like normal people do, and then you wish you had done it years, decades before. I never reaised just how much gender dysphoria was hurting me until it started to lift, because feeling that bad all the time was normal for me for most of my life, I had gotten used to it.

But transtioning has to be right up the list of ‘most difficult things you can do in life’. You don’t do it on a whim, you do it because you have to do it, or die. It is hard and incredibly stressful at first, you have to ‘unlearn; all your male mannerisms you built up to hide yourself and try to undo the damage testosterone did to you as best you can.

You don’t do it because you are a ‘failed man’, in fact many men with gender dysphoria were (or went through a phase) of being an (in real, not MRA terms) ‘alpha male’. You don’t do it because you want attention, in fact that is the last thing you want, you just want to fit in and have (finally) a normal life.

And it costs a lot. Cost me my wife and dogs (she took them), cost me my best friend and some other old friends (20 years+), cost me about 75% of close’ish friends, cost me my career and might even cost me my house.

As for sexuality, well TG people come in every version, just like cis people. There are those are interested in males, those who are interested in females, those who are bisexual, those who are asexual.

No one does it for sex, I wish people would think sensibly about this. If you are start as a gay male then you reduce dramatically the number of sexual partners you might have. If you start as a ‘straight’ male and remain (which is usual) the same sexual orientation towards females, your number of potential sexual partners also shrinks dramatically. Transtioning is almost a kiss of death for sexual relationships for people that transition at my age (it is much better for those who do it younger, or ideally as a teenager of course).

You do it just to feel a bit of peace within yourself. Just to feel a bit ok.

@ Lisa

And it costs a lot

There was some interesting commentary by the Court of Appeal (not famous as a body for progressive thinking) that very much acknowledged this. The court’s point was essentially, why would anyone choose the ‘pain’ of living a transgender lifestyle unless, of course, it wasn’t a ‘choice’ at all?

epitome of incomprehensibility

@Lisa – Yes, this is what makes no sense. People who say he just decided to transition on a whim, or to become more famous.

And now that he’s jealous of his daughters! For being women! Because they get more attention (a lot of it mocking, saying “reality show famous isn’t really famous,” or body-shaming, but anyway)!

It just makes no sense. It’d be just like me saying: okay, maybe’s jealous that his daughters’ names all start with K. But that would only require him to change his name… maybe to Kruce, short for Kruciferous Vegetable. Now THAT would be something silly and attention-getting.

Enough silliness 🙂 I hope things are going better for you, too, and thanks for talking about your experience.
