Red Pillers thoroughly underwhelmed by Roosh V’s beta-as-heck appearance on Dr. Oz

Sheldon Cooper: Not a Red Pill role model
Sheldon Cooper: Not a Red Pill role model

Over on the Red Pill subreddit, the ALPHA DOGS are feeling a bit underwhelmed by their boy Roosh Valizadeh’s appearance on Dr. Oz’ daytime talk show promoting his glorious fat shaming crusade. Some even thought he seemed something less than alpha.

One post, with 143 upvotes, declares that “Roosh came across as an autistic man on Dr. Oz.” This is not exactly a compliment in red pill circles. While agreeing with Roosh’s terrible message, the OP complains that the hairy warrior for truth

came across as extremely defensive in both body language and speech. For all talks of “frame” in the manosphere, Roosh presented himself as a man who was withdrawn, defensive, and quite frankly autistic. His speech was hesitant and slurred at times and he couldn’t make eye contact with Dr. Oz nor members of the audience most of the time; he had mannerisms similar to those of Sheldon Cooper.

Oh dear. At least Sheldon Cooper, a fictional uber-geek from The Big Bang Theory, is skinny. Imagine how poor Roosh would have felt being compared to someone fat!

Here are some other less-than-enthusiastic comments from that thread (and another) devoted to the Dr. Oz Massacre. Some criticize, some make excuses for Roosh. No one is happy.

It’s easy to hold frame on your self-produced website geared toward like-minded men. … Learn from his failure, have real conviction, and hold your fucking frame.

I find it rather ironic that he’s now hamstering on about how he felt (trying to find his “safe space”?! come the fuck on), whereas ultimately this is something he does to those oversensitive cows all the time.

All and all it was a trap from get go. Remember mantain frame. You will come across people who will test it to upper limits. Don’t give people especially white knights (dr.oz) the satisfaction of seeing you lose frame. Stay focus on your mission no matter what it is.

For all his preachings of red pill principles, DYEL [Do You Even Lift] bro? Being skinny is just as bad as being obese. He needs to hit the gym. And stop playing with your goddamn beard like a nervous twitch!

Dr. Oz is a prime example of a Dark Triad sophist. He’s a natural psychopath with life long experiences in lying and manipulation. … Dr. Oz applies just about every single one of the 48 Laws of Power.

[B]ut guys lets not criticize him. Because that show with its throngs of obese harpies, bright lights and strategic editing would be a formidable obstacle for any of us.

[H]e was cowed by their statements. I would’ve been red in the face pissed the fuck off. Fallacies, bully pulpitting, loaded questions out the ass. I would have talked over that miserable fuck and cross examined the fucker. Roosh didnt come prepared. He could have come knowing Dr. Oz has a slim wife.

I would have just responded to the hostility in kind. … Take the whole thing to a primal level and just start fat shaming all the warthogs in the audience. Better to be a charismatic villain than a deer in the headlights.

If he had any authenticity, he would have went down the line and fat shamed each of those porkers sitting on their high chairs….made them cry right on the spot.

Oz is alpha as fuck. Or at least a really good debater. … That slimey motherfucker chewed roosh up, and he should admit it, lol.

Roosh got Rekt by the landwhale train and the chief-butt-muncher Oz.

Tough crowd, huh?

Now that I have read most of that RP reddit thread, I too must say how impressed (lol) I am with these guys’, um, creative use of language. The words they use, like “logic” and “sociopath,” for example, clearly do not mean what they think they mean.

It is especially amusing to see them call Dr. Oz a sociopath, while their Dear Bro Doosh is the noblest of souls and a martyr for the cause, if a bit unskilled in the art of sparring with sociopaths (like Dr. Oz and his audience). Oh, such delusions.

And “Do you / does he even lift, bro?” will be my phrase of the day, I think. I’ll just have to find the right situation to use it (maybe with the dishwasher delivery guys coming to my house later today?).

Do they not realize that their entire mantra is basically “lying and manipulation”? Funny that this is suddenly a bad thing to them.

What I’m the blue hell does ‘frame’ mean?

Basically “maintain frame” means “to keep control of the conversation”. For example, if you want to do X, you need to make sure that the focus of the discussion is, “What’s the best way to do X?” and not let it turn into an argument about “Is X really something you ought to be doing?”

Common strategies for “maintaining frame” involve interrupting people, ignoring people, and yelling at people.

In addition to bullying, there’s also usually some marginally subtler manipulation going on. Some inoffensive examples:
1: A car salesman who asks questions that assume that you’re buying a car today, and it’s just a matter of which model and options you want to go with it. The questions are always phrased in such a way that you can’t actually answer them in a way that would indicate that you do not want to buy a car today. “Do you prefer the fuel economy of the 4-cylinder or the extra power of the 6-cylinder?”

2: The Magician’s Force, where you present two options without making it clear what the person is choosing–so that you can then retroactively fit their answer to your desired outcome. Example: Set two cards on a table, saying, “Tap one of these cards….” If they pick the one you want to use for the trick, you have them pick it up. If they pick the other card, you have them pick it up and put it back in the deck, and then take the card you wanted them to use.

The whole idea is to use wording to make sure the other person never has the ability to coherently say “No” in response to your actual goal. It’s smarmy and manipulative and plays off women’s social conditioning to be polite.

It always amazes me that these guys are just as horrible to each other as they are to everyone else. And yet, why would I be amazed?

@Thalia:

Because you / we all judge others by our own inner experience; so it is amazing for nonredpillians to discover the reptilian ways of the Red Pillocks.

As much as I don’t like Dr. Oz, he’s definitely right that fat shaming doesn’t work. Roosh is doing this fat shaming just to be an asshole! He’s not trying to help women out all. There’s ZERO fitness or nutrition advice for women on his site. The worst part about all of this is that he’ll actually gain followers! Most will see him as the douche he is, but he’s bound to string a couple morons along with him!

Ah the 48 Laws of Power. For the man looking to join a cult, but who finds other self-help books like Dianetics, The Secret, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, The Healing Power of Mind or The Gentle Way too beta for him.

So um. Let’s see. What I got from that was that Dr. Oz was:
– a white knight
-a member of the esteemed dark triad
-alpha as fuck

Makes sense to me.

To borrow a line from “Doon”*, Redpillianisn shares a feature with religion – product failure is blamed on the consumer.

*A parody of “Dune” that manages to be funnier than the original.

pretty lies and the delusional fat, fugly american whores of America

Dibs on this for my imaginary punk rock band! Pretty Lies will be the lead singer, of course.
I will sing backup and play the tambourine because I’m too stage-frighty to sing lead and I don’t play any instruments that take any sort of skill.

Did I mention it’s an imaginary band? Everyone is welcome to join!

Mitchel: absolutely. The primary negative effect of obesity in women, as people like Roosh see it, is the inability to attract people like Roosh.

Wait, red pillers are accusing someone else of having dark triad(tetrad, for people who actually pay attention to psychology) traits?

People obsessed with power games, frequently threaten others, and seem to take a sadistic glee in others suffering. Those people are worried about dark triad traits.

Okay.

Per Wikipedia: “narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy”. There’s folks who suggest that when you have all three traits, you end up being ruthless in gaining power and prestige, and so are more likely to succeed in business and sex.

The “dark triad” refers to three negative psychological traits that are said to drive people who manipulate others for fun and profit (or trolling).

The traits are often listed as narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism (oh, how Machiavelli would have hated this claim to fame) – with the “dark tetrad” adding sadism into the mix.

Ah I see, thanks! Now, do RPers consider these traits to be ‘super dooper alpha’ or things that evil feeeeeeemales do? It’s hard to tell sometimes.

For a second there, I thought you were talking about role players…

But, of course, they consider it alpha for the guys but women are manipulative-shrew-whore-harpies if they do it. Because, you know, double standards.

Moocow, being unspoken fascists, they rapidly switch between “weak foes with strong us who can easily beat them” and “strong foes who will overrun poor little us” with astonishing rapidity.

So they view them as admirable traits that are good for getting women, but also ones women/feminists/badguys use against them.

To me, it comes from a perspective where everything is a power play. I.e. the very machiavellianism that is one of the defining traits.

Eh, no. No gender is more alpha another.

I mean, the whole reason Men’s Rights are a thing is because they think feminism rules everything, thus is “alpha”, so, I mean, yeah.

I know it was a joke, but still.

I think you’re probably right, given their obsession with sex combined with their unshakable belief in women as “sexual gatekeepers.” It’s bitterness at a perceived type of power they long for but know they can never have.

That sort of thing drives self-entitled people nuts….

Wasn’t one of those “48 rules” something about despising things and people you can’t have?

Fits to a tee.
