Sad news, white ladies: Some dude on the internet won’t date you any more

Well, ok, he WOULD date Audrey Hepburn
Well, ok, he WOULD date Audrey Hepburn

UPDATE 9/19/18: Yes, this is the same Mark Judge who allegedly helped Brett Kavanaugh allegedly try to rape a 15-year-old girl. For more on his creepy writings and even creepier videos, see my post here

By David Futrelle

I hope you’re happy, white ladies. You have tempted fate with your evil white lady ways, and now you will be paying the price: Some dude named Mark Judge will no longer be dating you.

To be fair, he won’t be dating white men either — he’s straight — but he seems a bit more worked up about the women.

In a post earlier this week on Real Clear Religion, Judge, a right-wing Catholic who is himself white, explained Why I Won’t Date Secular White Women. It’s really quite simple: they’re soulless sluts who don’t know how to love:

White women in the West — like white men in the West — have lost their souls. Triangulated between a feminism that preaches perpetual outrage, a porn culture that turns love into a biology lesson (and which has made it into our sit-coms, movies, and music) and a hard conservatism that ignores art, many Western women have lost the capacity to appreciate and create beauty, to wonder and delight, to genuinely love.

I guess before “porn culture” and raunchy sit-coms, love was chaste and pure and didn’t require anyone to put any part of themselves inside of anyone else.

Oh, and he’s apparently not a big fan of iPhones, or women with a sense of humor.

Bombarded into spiritual catatonia by rage politics, digital devices, easy sex and irony, American women don’t seem to have wisdom, but sarcasm. Instead of joy, they trade in snark. They take flirting to be sexual harassment. Claiming to be “spiritual but not religious,” they are neither.

As he sees it, the western women of today just can’t compare to the much higher quality of western women in days gone by.

[I]t wasn’t so long ago that there were women in the West who had both brilliance and the capacity to wonder … Sophia Loren, Annie Leibovitz, Bille [sic] Holiday, Joan Didion, Elizabeth Taylor, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Audrey Hepburn — to name just a few — were women who have no contemporary equal, at least in the decadent Western world.

It’s an odd list for many reasons. For one thing, nearly half the women on it (Sophia Loren, Annie Leibovitz, and Joan Didion) are very much alive. The “contemporary equal” of Annie Leibovitz would probably be … Annie Leibovitz. The “contemporary equal” of Joan Didion would be Joan Didion.

But let’s let that slide, because, aside from these six white gals, and “Bille” Holiday, we still don’t know what sorts of ladies he would date.

The answer? Foreign ladies who are all “receptive” and shit.

Compared to white women, women from other parts of the world offer genuine substance. I was lucky enough to date someone from another culture for several years. She was from India, and had in abundance what most women in the West have lost: what the philosopher Dietrich von Hildebrand called “receptivity to values.”

And it helps if they’ve never seen an ocean before.

Dating someone from India brought me into contact with a culture that is still receptive to values as von Hildebrand understood them. My girlfriend clutched my hand in delight at dance concerts and wept when she saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time.

Also, fans of 2 Broke Girls are definitely OUT. Total dealbreaker!

India — like Africa and Japan and other non-Western cultures — still sees with open eyes. They have dance that flatters rather than degrades the female body, colorful and embodied religious ritual (hands folded, my girlfriend would greet the sun morning at the beach), and food as soulful restitution and not just bodily nourishment. We have cupcakes and 2 Broke Girls.

I haven’t ever watched 2 Broke Girls, but what the hell is wrong with cupcakes?

Weirdly, Judge seems to have forgotten that there are a variety of not-white women in the US that don’t come from exotic foreign lands. Aside from a brief snarky comment about Jennifer Lopez, he seems unaware that there are quite a few other latina women in the US. He mentions Africa, but doesn’t seem much interested in American-born black gals.

Of course, he might still be sore because a couple of years ago a black person stole his bike.

Well, he thinks it might have been a black person. In a 2012 post on the Daily Caller, Judge wrote about the day his feelings of white guilt ended forever — the day someone stole his beloved bike, which he’d left locked to his car in a predominantly black area in Washington DC.

I could be pretty certain that on Good Friday a member of the Little Sisters of the Poor, which is across the street from where I was parked, had not nicked my bike. Neither had the monks at the Dominican House of Studies on the corner. The students at Catholic University were on Easter break. That left the neighborhoods around the university. Since the time I was an undergrad at Catholic University in the 1980s, most of the crime that has occurred on campus has come from those neighborhoods, which are predominately black. …  I knew that the odds were very high that a black person had taken my bike — maybe one of the [neighborhood] kids … .

You know, Mark, it might be a good idea if you didn’t date anybody, regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin.

A couple of years ago I had a job that involved cataloging lots of 19th-early 20th century atlases and travel guides. I would always check the “peoples of the world section” which was always a good source of unintentional humor via scientific racism.

FREQUENTLY in those books Japanese people were separated from “Asians” because despite their horrifying “sexual immorality” the Japanese people were significantly less “devious”, “shifty” or whatever, to the point of being “almost white”.

The text of those sections could be copy-pasted onto a blog and it would be more or less indistinguishable from the neoreactionary Christians like Vox Day and, apparently, this guy.

But seriously anyone who describes Japan as “They have dance that flatters rather than degrades the female body, colorful and embodied religious ritual (hands folded, my girlfriend would greet the sun morning at the beach), and food as soulful restitution and not just bodily nourishment” has almost certainly never been there.

He seemed genuinely baffled as to why a discussion list made up largely of American women, or American men who were partnered with American women, took offense at his opinions regarding the inherent and objective awfulness of American women.

He also seemed genuinely surprised when it turned out that some of these amazing Russian women he was so impressed with were just after his money, and when they discovered he had none, they quickly lost interest. He came back from one trip with a harrowing story of getting robbed and abandoned, although none of us could drum up much sympathy.

Yeah, surprise. Russian women are looking for a ticket out of what their country became after Boris Yeltsin crashed it in a drunken rage! They’re not prim, traditional devotchkas after all! They’re hungry for a better life and they don’t want to be dragged off to bordellos by the mafia, so of COURSE they’re going to scrimp and scratch and make all kinds of shifts to keep from landing up there. And of COURSE they’re going to divorce your sorry ass as soon as they get their green cards. Fucking duh, dude.

Hell, it wouldn’t even surprise me if they caught feminism somewhere along the way! I mean, what else is there to do when you’re bettering your circumstances and you just ditched a bozo?

Winston Wu’s whole happiest abroad forum is full of losers like him. I wonder why he’s so bitter.

What flavor is that kitkat? I’ve had the green tea one, and it beats the kitkat bars in the states anyday.

“The students at Catholic University were on Easter break.”

At least he’s not so far gone that he knows enough to state the Catholic students are on break because everyone knows Catholic students would steal that damned bike given the chance just for grins & giggles.

Which they totally would. Trust me, I know. 😀

Speaking of Japanese snack foods~

There’s a site called Okashi Connection where you can sign up to get a monthly shipment of foodstuffs picked out for you. : D I think it’s twenty bucks USD, and you get a pretty good sized box. A lovely lady I subscribe to on YouTube, LovelyMomo, has a video where she unpacks the new box every month (and she has another video where she does a box of stuff she picked out from napaJapan). I found out about her through her husband NorthernLion, who does a lot of The Binding of Isaac let’s plays.

If you like to pick your own food or don’t like surprises, you can always check out Oyatsu Cafe or napaJapan.

Ugh at the racist who thinks he’s not racist because he likes other cultures (some of them!) (and thinks that “culture” never changes, and that all the women in Asia are submissive and childlike and whatever). Just ugh. I’ve met at least two people (both white men, incidentally) who think that way – who don’t think, or don’t want to think, that they’re racist even as they’re parroting superficial stereotypes of the cultures they supposedly love and respect.

I think that they just associate the word racist as bad, rather than the actions.

They just spout off “I’m not racist!” because they don’t like being called the word, rather than actually actively try to not be racist. : /

Bina: If you’d like a preview of a box, here’s LovelyMomo, who I mentioned earlier, doing her box for last month:

True. I guess that’s where the idea of focusing on someone’s actions, not what they are, comes in handy? I mean, there are limitations to that, but it might allow someone to think over what they said/did rather than getting defensive.

I’ve erred on the side of not saying anything when it was someone I didn’t know well, and that wasn’t the greatest thing either.

I believe part of the problem is that some people have internalized racism as ‘something bad’ (which it is) done by ‘bad people’ (which isn’t really true). So they hear ‘what you just said was racist’ as ‘You are a BAD PERSON ‘, leading them to deny what you didn’t say and ignore what you did say.

Just like the men who insist that they can’t be sexist because they ‘love’ women.

I really hate to necro a thread but I found this article on emotional abuse by this very guy, Mark Judge. http://acculturated.com/women-who-emotionally-abuse-men/

It seems fairly well balanced to me, he even calls Paul Elam ‘crude’ and ‘angry’ at one point, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.

Don’t read the comments. MRAs abound.

Why is it that every time I hear/read the word “decadent” I crave chocolate? I’m always up for chocolate anyway (unless I’m sick) but I tend to associate “decadent” with chocolate.

With that said Mark Judge won’t date me? Oh shucks *snaps fingers*

I’m not secular…but still, if he won’t date me, fine–just extend that decision to every woman. Sorry about the double post…I ran out of editing time.

I’m sure this has been said numerous times throughout the thread (sorry, I haven’t read yet!), but do guys like this honestly think that women who had affairs with (God forbid)/dated/married William Powell, Cary Grant, Richard Burton, etc. would have anything to do with their unwashed asses?

Moreover, this idea that women from other cultures are less discerning because reasons makes me laugh out loud.

LMAO, I just realized this was a years-old thread. It was retweeted and I flew off the handle. Ah, well, hello future stragglers! My points still stand.

If this loser thinks women from Japan are submissive little dolls, he has another thing coming.

These are the same women who gang up on groping perverts on public transit and take pictures of them and shame them into paying compensation on the spot, or else the girls will go to the cops about what creepy pervs the creepy pervs are.

And there is a) a cop shop out of nearly every major transit station, and b) a 99% conviction rate in Japan. If you get arrested, you WILL go to jail.

65% of Japanese women work outside the home, from the last numbers I saw, and the government has set targets for women having senior positions in government (3.5%) and private companies (15%). These are modest goals, but it wasn’t all that long ago that women barely worked outside of a family business.

They’re not submissive anymore.

PS the Kit-Kat treat in the picture is banana no amasa, which roughly translates to “the sweetness (or deliciousness) of bananas.” But this is often a certain Japanese flavor profile of bananas with some dark cocoa or cocoa powder added to enhance the sweetness of the banana.
