Spermjackers, Free Bleeders, and Beard-Hating Feminazis: The United Anti-Feminist Coalition fights the real enemies of men

They might as well be twins!
They might as well be twins!

The We Hunted the Mammoth Pledge Drive continues! If you haven’t already, please consider sending some bucks my way. (The PayPal page will say you are donating to Man Boobz.) Thanks!

So I’ve discovered a new bunch of antifeminist meme-makers who’ve somehow managed to pull off something close to the spectacular ugliness, incoherence, and just plain wrongness achieved by the meme masters at A Voice for Men.

Let’s give a big round of applause to the graphics whizzes of the United Anti-Feminist Coalition and their lovely Facebook page.

The Godwin-tastic meme at the top of this page —  which gets bonus Godwin Points because Gloria Allred is actually Jewish — may be my favorite of theirs I’ve seen so far, but there are so many other brilliant contributions on their page that I hardly know where to start.

The UAFC meme-makers, like those at AVFM, do love battling straw feminists.

You know, like the straw feminists who HATE MALE FACIAL HAIR!

53acd5994a14cc02a2c4820d8e7225c8

The Straw Feminists who are always demanding that random dudes make them happy.

7c5cbb02209747a69ed94429fb9d772b

And of course the Straw Feminists who demand “women and children first” when it comes to evacuating ships that for some reason don’t have enough lifeboats.

c4a010b032c721e806d02a524ae245cd

When the UAFC memers aren’t fighting imaginary feminists, they’re railing against imaginary feminist campaigns. Like the “Free Bleeding” campaign,  a phony “feminist” celebration of menstrual blood that was actually concocted by 4chan in an attempt to make feminists look silly.

Well, it’s not feminists who look silly here. Especially given that the kid in the picture below is clearly holding a “Honk if you support Obama” sign with the words “if you support Free Bleeding” photoshopped onto it.

bfa5e5f16f992b948f315cb8374ddf05

And when they’re not fighting off the specter of “Free Bleeding,” the UAFC is railing against the evils of “spermjacking” with barely comprehensible graphics.

6ba1a13acf55cced11cadc63a984dde4

Never mind that men are the ones actually poking holes in condoms; indeed, 16% of women on one recent study had a partner try to sabotage their birth control in an attempt to get them pregnant.

Then there are memes that are just plain incomprehensible:

I mean, I’ve been to Mangina Boot Camp, and it’s nothing like this!

And trying to claim “criminal charges” against an article that was far more charitable than it had to be (or should have been) is hilarious.

All it did was say “These guys were acting creepy and making rape jokes, and one guy hugged my friend and she wasn’t okay with that.” That’s pretty much it.

Honestly, if I had written the article, there might have been cause for the allegations. Because I wouldn’t have held back as much as Mr. Shartlet did.

Apparently Perrrins claims that his comments as Sharlet reported them would constitute criminal threatening under Ontario law, so the fact that he is not being prosecuted proves that Sharlet is lying.
(1) The remarks were made in Michigan; would Ontario even be able to prosecute him?
but (2), and most important, Sharlet obviously intended his quotations (and I believe he quotes very accurately) to demonstrate his anger at his ex — as part of the general MRA anger at women — rather than to accuse him (or anybody else) of a crime.

I have to admit that I didn’t see that one coming — trying to get the authorities to prosecute you for something you claim you didn’t say, so you can claim that their not prosecuting you proves that what the other guy said was a lie. I guess I need remedial Doodlojik(TM) classes.

I cut my ear shaving a few days ago. Thought I had it fixed, but woke up with dried blood all over that ear and a stain on the pillow. So yeah, blood gets everywhere it wants to be.

And they’re still het up again Valerie Solanas? If the last time a man shot a woman was that long ago, we’d all be better off.

@GOM:

Great, it’s the old “if what I say is untrue, why aren’t the Clintons suing me? HUH???” chestnut, in reverse.

Everytime I deal with Dodlojik(TM) I get brainsprain. Probably just age.

Also, we have Canada geese here in Oakland, around the beautiful Lake Merritt. They no longer migrate, which makes sense – a longstanding bird sanctuary that’s ice free all year is a good berth for them. It’s easy to believe that they’re modified dinosaurs when you see how they act.

GrumpyOld… I don’t think it’s age.

I’m only 22 and it gives me brainsprain trying to parse Doodlojik(TM). I don’t think all the rubber duckies in the world could help me work through the DOodlojik(TM) code.

Some years ago I had a chance to visit Hawaii and was hoping to see the state bird, the nene. Finally someone pointed and said, “Look, nenes.” I had seen them and thought they were nothing more than ordinary Canada geese that had strayed off course. (Apparently I was correct, but the straying occurred half a million years ago and they are now a distinct — but very similar-looking — species.)

There’s a mated pair of barred owls who’ve been in my neighborhood for the past couple of weeks. Every night I hear them calling, and sometimes I hear them caterwauling. They sound ancient and otherworldly, and I love it.

…um, yeah, explanation for the rubber duck. I only really work in R and am dipping toes into python, and my rubber duck is actually a stuffed turtle, but Zed is a tremendous help.

Also, Zed causes less problems if he takes a flight when I figure out the mistake was something uber silly.

I thank the person who introduced me to rubber-ducking.

if you were intellectually honest, you would have included the sources with our memes which explain why the meme exists.
“Never mind that men are the ones actually poking holes in condoms” – that is utter bullshit and you fucking know it.

During the much-deserved and high-quality mockery, a new poster got overlooked, I think. So, Sandy Lee, here’s your welcome package! https://artistryforfeminismandkittens.wordpress.com/the-official-man-boobz-complimentary-welcome-package/

(Sure, it’s linked in the sidebar, but it’s nice to make new folks feel the comradery, yes?)

Okay, I got back to this a bit late, but:

Bina, you know how you tell a Canadian Goose from a Canada Goose?

One goes “Honk, honk, eh?”

(Silly Alaskan Humor)

Snurk, eh?

And…

How many years has it been since the red-haired activist told an MRA to shut up because he was talking over her? And they’re still mad about that.

Really. How DARE she assert her right to speak and be heard and demand that he wait his turn? How dare she interfere with his manly, manly privilege of drowning other voices out?

The butthurt, it burns. Maybe someone should send them some lotion for that.

And speaking of butthurt:

if you were intellectually honest, you would have included the sources with our memes which explain why the meme exists.
“Never mind that men are the ones actually poking holes in condoms” – that is utter bullshit and you fucking know it.

O RLY???

The court was unanimous that Craig Hutchinson of Nova Scotia was guilty of sexual assault for poking pin-sized holes in condoms because he hoped to keep his girlfriend from leaving him by getting her pregnant. His fraud carried such a risk of harm it nullified her consent, four of seven judges said. (She did become pregnant, but left him and had an abortion.) The risk to a woman who does not want to get pregnant is as serious in its way as the risk of HIV transmission from a partner who committed deception by failing to disclose their disease, the majority said.

Your buttocks, sir.

In addition to Bina’s post (yes – people of both sees can be manipulative assholes, but it seems like men really are the ones pulling this particular brand of assholery), if you have to include extensive links to explain a meme…it’s not a meme.

It may be “a picture”, maybe even “a poster” if you run out and have a large copy printed…
…but it’s not a meme.

I knew a woman who was about to leave an abusive marriage, and her husband took her birth control pills, threw them on the kitchen floor, and stomped on them. Same idea, less subtlety.

if you were intellectually honest, you would have included the sources with our memes which explain why the meme exists.

That’s not how memes work nor is that how the burden of proof works. If you need to present the documentation behind the joke, it isn’t funny. Trying to Gisp gallop in meme format doesn’t make MRAssholes look smart.

You came all the way down to David’s little ‘ol blog. Why didn’t you bring the links you assure us would make your ridiculous memes make sense. Link away. I double dog dare ya.

“Never mind that men are the ones actually poking holes in condoms” – that is utter bullshit and you fucking know it.

No. Not true at all. Forced pregnancy has a long history of being used to oppress women and keep them under the control of abusive men. Maybe you should take some time to study DV and how abusers go about their abusing. I’m sure some of it will sound very familiar to you, being a regular at AVfM and all.

“Never mind that men are the ones actually poking holes in condoms” – that is utter bullshit and you fucking know it.

And if you were “intellectually honest”, you wouldn’t make such shitty “meme” arguments against obvious straw-man (straw-woman?) feminists instead of ranting and raving against 4chan trolls.

If you gave two flying fucks about “intellectual honesty”, you’d have done your fucking research and looked into who was posting this shit, instead of just assuming it was feminists because your “superior” alpha-man dudelojik apparently can do no wrong.

Also, great job Bina on posting the condoms bit. I’ll raise you men sabotaging women’s birth control.

It’s called Reproductive Abuse, and it happens quite a bit.

And it can happen in more ways than poking holes in condoms. Men taking out IUDs, controlling money so women can’t get birth control, keeping them away from doctor’s appointments, stalking them to make sure they aren’t going to Planned Parenthood, ect.

Now, get the fuck out of here with your hypocrisy.

@Paul Stevenson:

If you think these memes have a perfectly good explanation that makes them both understandable and agreeable, fine. Would you mind the Hitler one, at the top of the page? Some of us were curious what the relationship between the two quotes was supposed to be.

Bina

It’s called Reproductive Abuse, and it happens quite a bit.

Yup. And it’s usually something along the lines of “Don’t you dare leave me, or I will fuck up your life something awful”. It’s a pure control strategy — if a woman can’t control her own body, all control over her life is effectively ceded to someone else. And invariably, that someone else is a man. The only way he could keep her more entrapped is if he imprisoned her down a hole, like Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. ‘Course, in that case, he really DID mean to kill her so he could harvest her skin.

I think the point of the Chanty Binx “meme” is that Sharlet accused MRAS of being angry and violent, but there were TWO WHOLE FEMINISTS who were violent/angry! I don’t know how that’s a counterpoint, but I think that’s what they were going for.

As for criminal charges against Sharlet, I cannot even wrap my head around that logic. Even if every word of his article was a lie, the worst he would be guilty of is libel, which is a civil law, not a criminal one (meaning he can be sued, but not arrested).

GrumpyOldMangina

@children: after listening to his video, I figured out that the criminal charges were supposed to be not for Sharlet for him (for criminal threatening), and the unwillingness of authorities to pursue such charges proved that Sharlet was lying about what he said. It was a bit convoluted for my poor brain and took me a while to figure out.
