Granted it was a regular visiting cat but if it goes for me again I will grab it by the scruff and toss it outside and I don’t care how cold it is.

That’s an amazing tree. XD In good news I got approved for all my dental work through Medical Assistance. In the bad news we’re so strained for funds I’ll be lucky to pull of Christmas for my kiddos. I don’t even know if we can afford a tree. :/
Where does one put the presents when they have a cat tree? The lack of stump means you can’t put them under.
Johanna, yay for dental care! But boo for poverty. Are there any organizations in your area that can help with Christmas? American Legion, Salvation Army, something like that?
Thanks to this morning’s snowfall, I have discovered that last year’s winter boots are no longer waterproof.
My brother tried to choke me to death, but I told a good friend (yes! there are good guys!) and he called the police, so I’m getting to celebrate my birthday at home, feeling safe, and since I didn’t do the actual calling, it was totally not my fault. Ridiculous, but I get to claim innocence, get a couple of days without my brother, and it’s making my birthday shiny. Can’t believe I’ve lived to 39!
Given the Salvation Army’s treatment of LGBTQA+ people I wouldn’t want any help from them. My husband’s arms worker (kinda like a visiting therapist) is trying to help us find options and stuff but I don’t know. I hope we can swing something. The girls really want at least a tree. :/

My kitties are being expensive for Christmas. Routine annual checkup and vaccination, one cat had a bad canine tooth that needed to be removed, and the other had an ultrasound that revealed heart abnormalities. About $2500 all told, and that’s before the kitty cardiologist goes over the results of the ultrasound to recommend treatment.
leftwingfox, yikes! That’s a steep bill. Hope your kitty’s heart abnormalities aren’t going to be serious. 🙁

Has anyone read WaPo or Jez re a Rolling Stone article about a sexual assault at UVA that’s now being partially retracted? On that front, I guess it’s a good thing David’s taking the day off because I’m sure the manosphere’s having a field day.
Of course, the retraction in no way, shape or form negates the fact that sexual assaults and gendered violence are huge problems, both on college campuses and society at large. But that’s not gonna stop the manosphere from trying.

The latest on my cross stitch. I’ve been itching to work on it the past two weeks, but I can’t twist my wrist that way, plus I don’t want to rub the stitches with the dressing over my wrist. That way lies destroyed cross-stitch.
Got a new puppy – he’ll be 12 weeks old on Sunday. He’s a rough Collie and cute as a button. 2-year old dog and I are very happy… I’d post a picture if I knew how! He thinks Cloelia (the cat) is another puppy and pounces on her when he gets a chance. She likes him anyway.
Dream tree! My personal stuff is going pretty well. Left abusive relationship faaaaaarrrr in the past, back home in Ireland studying sound engineering and I got a real journalism job! I miss having a cat terribly though.
