#GamerGate, meet #Ferguson; #Ferguson, meet #GamerGate

Not a video game

If you grit your teeth and do a search for #GamerGate and #Ferguson together on Twitter, you will find Tweet after Tweet from worried #GamerGaters earnestly imploring their comrades not to make any connections between the two hashtags. Why? Because they know that those who cross the streams are likely to Tweet things like the following.

This what happens when #GamerGaters try to make sense of what is happening in Ferguson.

cassandra – not to mention that Wilson is now a millionaire through the donations racists, led by the so-called prosecutor, gave him.

The way I heard it, it was the other way around – Wilson used some of his new-found millions to pay off McCulloch (not that he needed paying off, but hey, corrupt good ol’ boys love their bribery) – but frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if both are true.

Has everyone read the bit about how the prosecutors gave the GJ a statute that had been declared unconstitutional in the eighties to base their decision on. The thing about racists is they don’t worry about plausible deniability all that much. They rely on their racist constituents.

They’re assuming that the endemic corruption in the system there will cover up little problems like, you know, outdated statutes, improper fundraising, unequally applied regulations, all that little stuff.

This is the cop who got suspended for not shooting the person he was trying to arrest. Listen to him, conservative dumbasses, he’s telling you how the system there actually works.

Does anyone think beegee’s not a troll any more?

Remember that debate is the best tool to find the truth.

This isn’t a debate, but you are a tool.

The tool that people stick in a corner at the back of the shed because they can’t figure out any use for it, but a tool nonetheless.

Investigation and determination of facts have always been my preferred tools, although I have heard that there are lots of people still enjoying debate on the shape of the earth.

Debating is good when the facts are on your side or are genuinely in doubt. Debating when the facts aren’t on your side and aren’t in doubt is called “Lying.”

I’m not embedding this, because it’s hellish distressing: Mike Brown Sr at his son’s funeral.

That link is to say fuck you, racists, fuck you, trolls. Walk on caltrops forever: legos aren’t sharp enough.

The thing is, they won’t care. They already brush off the murders of children as if that doesn’t matter, and if someone’s racism is so strong that it wipes out the natural adult impulse to protect kids, then why would they care about a grieving father?

Yeah, the message was mostly for the faux-friends who come to this site. I wouldn’t expect to change the opinions of shameless racists.

Stunning lack of knowledge on the grand jury process too. She can get herself a nice recliner to put under the bridge with the flat screen TV.

Ain’t no protest like a Seattle protest:

Although the local news had entirely too much “what about the children” going on. Uh, they saw people protesting, they’ll live.

Oh no, the kids might learn that it’s possible to challenge authority when it’s abusing its power? The horror.

So, to sum things up.

The thing about McCulloch raising money for Wilson turned out to be false, but he still has plenty of problems.
