Speaking of harassers, as I was in the previous post, everyone’s favorite PR maven and serial libeller, Janet “Judgy Bitch” Bloomfield, has been suspended from Twitter — this time, one hopes, for good, as she’s a prime example of someone using Twitter as a “hate amplifier,” which she has stoked in the past with deliberate and malicious libel. She also made a second account to get around her previous suspension, which one would think would in itself be enough of a TOS violation to justify permanent suspension. The real question isn’t why she was suspended; it’s why she wasn’t suspended for good a long time ago.
EDIT: Removed portions of this post so as not to further inflame the situation.
Also some of those Febreze plug-ins.
I think that there are only a few peeps in this thread who know who the Thunderdud is, so you might want to take up the appropriateness of their cheerfulness with them PiatoR.
Even cat pee on the carpet would be an improvement on troll pee.
Thunderfool was vile enough to get his whole blog thrown off FreeThoughtBlogs; he’s rabidly misogynistic and (iirc) racist. So yeah, no quibble about saying About Bloody Time if he’s been booted from youtube at last.
When it’s cat pee that means there’s a cat and cats are wonderful so, no, it’s really not that bad.
We need pet odour carpet cleaner and Plug-Ins and Febreeze and Swiffers and really good air circulation.
And a pooper scooper.
@kittehserf:
I think it was from twitter, not youtube. But yeah, no trouble believing there was a good reason for the suspension.
Do you hear that? No trolls screeching for attention. It’s a nice sound.
Smells better in here.
Maybe if we got Feliway the trolls would calm down to begin with.

Uh-huh. So you’re okay with, say, David being suspended if people don’t like what he says too, then?
As best I can tell, it wasn’t due to any reason other than him getting multiply flagged by a mass campaign which resulted in an automatic suspension.
Which means that you’d have no problems if the Reddit crowd or MRAs used the same tactics to get David booted off Twitter.
Phoenician, unlike Thunderfart and Judgy Moron, David is not a hatemonger starting campaigns of personal harassment. And anyway, Freeze Peach is not a very popular dessert here, in case you haven’t noticed.
Are we really doing this? Cause if so I’m taking a break until the urge that some regulars are apparently feeling to act like trolls has passed.
If twitter banned Thunderdouche it was because he violated the terms of use in some way. I don’t know what he did because I only heard about it here but twitter doesn’t ban people simply for being objectionable. As far as I know, David is not doing anything to violate WordPress terms of use so that’s a big false equivalence.
Apparently I missed quite the meltdown while I was working. Was Wilson spamming the page or something?
Yes. It was like 30 posts, most of them one or two sentences in length, one right after the other.
Who exactly is it that you are trying to pick a fight with, PiatoR,
Does anyone know if Wilson was Woody or some other asshats sock?
Try looking up Thunderfool’s history, Phoenician, instead of doing this trollish freeze peach contrarian bullshit. Neither FTB nor twitter nor youtube is required to allow anyone a platform, least of all if they’re promoting hatred and violence, any more than David is required to let trolls spew it here. These aren’t government entities, they’re privately owned, forfuckssake.
thebewilderness – if he was, he was using a different IP.
Very restrained of him not to say I WUV YOU PAUL in every post, though.
Neither FTB nor twitter nor youtube is required to allow anyone a platform,
You seem to be addressing the wrong argument.
Under what basis would you object if the Reddit/MRA crowd started a mass flagging campaign and got David booted from Twitter, just as seems to have happened to Thunderfoot?
I’m usually pretty sympathetic to symmetry arguments (eg, if it’s not OK for other people to dox you, it’s not OK for you to dox other people either), and I’ll usually take the position that some approach doesn’t become OK (or not OK) because the person doing it is on the right (or wrong) side of an argument, for the same reason that Phoenician is saying: Because everyone thinks their side is the right side and that argument could therefore be used to justify any behavior in anyone.
…BUT that argument doesn’t apply to Thunderfoot. At all.
Because a site has the right (indeed, the duty) to make a reasonable comments policy such as “no hate speech or harassment.” And that has nothing to do with the symmetry argument. And if someone is violating that policy, people have every right to flag that person until zie gets suspended. And that has nothing to do with people flagging someone until zie gets suspended just because they don’t like zir.
If as you say T was removed as a result of mass flagging and not because of a violation of TOS I assume that they will be reinstated.
I would expect the same were David to be removed from WP as a result of mass reportage.
While this has not so far as I know happened to David it has happened to several women. After investigation or whatever violation is resolved the blog is unblocked.
We’re arguing over an unknown here.
I’m going to go see if I can figure out WHY the dude got kicked off twitter.
