@Lea, I admire your child; mine, when grounded from all electronics, just whine.

On a totally different front, I am never ever again drinking absinthe on a Sunday night when I have to work the next day at 8 am. Never ever again. I’m not exactly hungover, just super distracted.

Thanks. She’s a peach. She knows she earned groundation. She won’t get in an argument with me that she knows she can’t win. The ones she knows she can on the other hand…

The first argument she won was about naked Barbies riding around in the car.
Me: But, they’ll get cold.
Little Her: They can’t get cold. They’re dolls.
Me: Maybe they are sad that they’re naked?
Little Her: Look at their faces. Do they look sad?
Me: You win.

Her reason for keeping naked Barbies in the car was, “They’re spies”. I still have no idea what that meant, but I couldn’t argue with it.
Kids crack me up.
She’s also the kid who once came running up to me and said, “Hanna pinched me when I hit her!” and I got to see the expression on her face change as she realized she had said too much.
Good times.

I think that red carpet kitty pic is a good representation of the inside of a cat’s mind. They all seem to think they’re stars. The most valued and important creature in existence.

It was just announced that Michelle MacLaren will be directing Wonder Women. I’m pretty excited about this. Partially because I’m a fan of her work on GoT and Breaking Bad. Partially because it means that there’s less of a chance the movie will spend much time pandering to the (hetero) male gaze.

Kim, I love the way the ‘shop works so that PoM’s kitty looks like she has the “Yes I know you’re all there taking My photograph, but I’m not acknowledging you because I am thinking about much more important things.”

Photoshopping: it took seven photos to put my Pirate King pic (the one in my gravatar) together. Here it is on DeviantArt, which seems the most suitable place. It is slightly NSFW – bare chest – and I apologise if this is edging into updates from my boner territory; my judgement’s a bit skewed and I am very pleased with this pic, which took a lot of work!

I figured out why my mouse traps weren’t catching whatever’s been eating the cat’s food: that fucker is a rat! It’s cute, but I need it to stop eating my cat out of house and home. Off to buy some humane traps…

Rats can be frustrating because they’re smart. Should be catch-able though! And releases into suitable environments are fun because they’re inquisitive.

Rats are interesting. Once woke ’cause one was nibbling on my nose.
Turns out it was what had been biting my feet for the past hour, slinking back into a tiny hole in the wall whenever I kicked. Guess I pissed it off enough for it to go for my face.

Trap the thing, throw it out.
