Hey Ally, last time I talked to you, you were still stuck with awful relatives, and I was super busy this week so I didn’t get a chance to ask if you got home OK on Monday.
For want of an August Open Thread: In England. Having wonderful time (though driving a campervan on non-motorways is a bit stressful). Sidmouth Folk Week was more fun than expected. Oysterband great in concert, as ceilidh band, and in intimate concert/talk session.
Got to meet Ian/Alan/JJ, and their partners. Wonderful people. Now have a complete understanding of Plague Rats, Dead Heads, &c. Will try to be more in touch next week.
Have mobile number in Britain/Ireland. Can share if desired. Ping Me.
Glad you’re having a wonderful time, pecunium. I’m jealous. I’ve actually had more vacations this year than I normally do, but I just read an article about how they’re restoring the original 19th century trails in Acadia State Park in Maine and OHMYDOGIWANTTOGOTHERESOBAD.
Stonehenge was nice: but the view is not quite what it will be when they complete the removal of the old visitors’ centre. HMS Victory was loverly, and the Mary Rose sobering.
Today is a quick look ’round Brighton, and then to London. Tomorrow a play (Anthony and Cleopatra) at the Globe. Weds, unk. Thus the convention starts, but we may do some museum before the evening.
Those are the only ones I’ve played with enough to publish (camera phone. The real camera hasn’t been emptied yet. Processing that will take more time).
@Kirbywarp: Well, thank you kindly.
Also, praise her.
@Falconer:
^_^
(I really hope people are getting the Dr. Who reference)
Oh, yes. One of my favorite episodes from Season 6.
Except with Bootsie, the hotel rooms are full of fluffy kitties and they kill you with smothering.
Guess what, everyone! I got a raise in my hormone dosage by 50%! Yaaaaaaaaaay. I also finally have it covered under my insurance, and I got a refill.

Yeah, I got home ok. I’m back with my relatives today, since my sister is leaving soon. At least I have my meds now.
Glad to hear you got home, and that you got your hormones.
A good take-down of that oxygen thief Tony Abbott, in today’s Age.
