Let’s say that you’re the “Managing Editor” of a website known far and wide for calling women “whores,” as well as an assortment of other 4- and 5-letter words generally considered crude sexist slurs. Let’s just say that you had a convention, and that during this convention your official spokeswoman went on a bit of a name calling rampage on Twitter, repeatedly attacking a woman who had tried to report on said convention as an “attention whore,” a “fame whore,” and a “little whore,” and offering similar “whore”-based assessments to other critics of the site.
And let’s just say that despite all this you also had a desire to convince the world that your site was not actually the misogynistic cesspit that it so obviously is. Would you:
1) Apologize for using the words “whore” and “bitch” and “c*nt” and other similar sexist epithets against women.
2) In your capacity as editor, quietly remove the word “whore” (and “bitch” and “c*nt”) from future postings on the site, and tell your PR maven to maybe come up with a less misogynistic insult of choice.
3) Start calling men whores so that no one can accuse you of hating women because, see we use “whore” to refer to men too!

Holy fuck. I missed quite the shit show. Bittersteel sounds a lot like every third engineering student I met at university. Umn… way to overgeneralise. Some men do this, mostly those who see “getting laid” as what defines “manliness” and “manliness” as the virtue men most need.
For those of us who don’t view the world that way, insults tend to be more directed to the specific fault. So when someone catcalls a woman on the street, I don’t say, “what, you can’t get laid?”, I say, “You are an (insert modifier as appropriate) asshole”.
If someone makes a pathetic, and unsupported argument the response wouldn’t be, “bittersteel you can’t get laid,” because your ability to get laid is immaterial to your inability to present a decent argument. The appropriate response to such as that would be:
Bittersteel you needed to pay more attention in school, especially to those portions dealing with reasoning, logical argument, reasoned analysis and sentence structure, because from the evidence presented it seems likely you weren’t passed on merit, but rather because your school believed in social promotion.

A biological child isn’t of benefit to you either. Such a child might be of benefit to The Species but to you, it’s no more benefit than a non-biological one. The only direct benefit a child can have for you is support in your old age. That doesn’t require shared genetics; it requires bonds of affection.
Insofar as your memory living on… your kids aren’t gonna do that for you, you have to do that yourself; by being memorable. Beethoven didn’t have kids, but we remember him.
Mozart did have a child, but there are (so far as we know) no people who are directly related to him. Same for Shakespeare. The Plantagenets might still have some of the familial genes floating around (same for the Tudors, as at least Henry VIII spent some time in France, where there might have been a “by blow” he didn’t know of), but the last known member of the family was born on the wrong side of the blanket and died while Elizabeth was queen (if I recall correctly, it might have been while her father was still on the throne, I forget).
But even if you do have, “children of your body”, that’s one drop in a very small bucket of evolutionary material. The odds are, that as with most family lines, yours will die out, even if you have dozens of kids.

For what it’s worth, and I don’t know if it was addressed, but the link saying it was illegal to paternity test in France actually linked to another page specifying the situations where it WAS legal to DNA test. One of those situations is in the course of a civil suit regarding parentage and parental support statements. If I’m understanding the translation correctly, it requires the consent of the person whose DNA is being tested (I’m not sure whether they mean the child or the father)
