My dear friend who is letting me stay with them is unable to sleep with me about their home, often weepy. I feel very guilty. I am afraid to go home to my house and be alone with my housemates though.

If your friend lets you stay with them, that’s a gift, and you’re allowed to take it without guilt. When they need you to go home/elsewhere, they will tell you. Hold tight, okay? You’re doing great.

Want to try to design something together, like a ride for the theme park or something like that? That could be something to distract you, if you want distraction.
I’ve struggled with depression most of my life, and it really helps me to remember that, when I am saying and doing things that are uncharateristic- it is depression talking, not me. Make sure you get regular sleep, (not too much or too little) keep up whatever basic grooming you are able to, and try to eat well. Potatoes, avocados, bananas and prunes are a few foods that help depression. Ride the waves, it will get easier.
I’m struggling terribly with my sleep and eating and both those things are making my mood worse. I can’t get better if I don’t fix those things. I’m really hoping for some help from the psychiatrist or their therapist I begin seeing on Wednesday.
