Roosh Valizadeh has made a career, such as it is, of teaching guys how to talk to women the Rooshy way. And not just how to talk to drunk women in clubs, where you’re lucky if they can even hear your clever negs over all the noise.
In his book Day Bang he sets forth his brilliant strategy for speaking to women in the daytime: start babbling to them about random crap like those slightly dotty elderly people who come up to you sometimes babbling about random crap.
No, really. You’re supposed to “open” with an “Elderly Opener” and segue seamlessly into “Elderly Chat,” taking your cues from the people who are the best at talking forever about nothing at all. “This is something old people excel at,” he writes.
They can have a one-hour chat stemming from an ice cream flavor because their life experience is so deep that they can seamlessly and casually connect it to a dozen other topics.
During the day I want you to think of yourself as a wandering, slightly confused old man who needs to gain information or knowledge. In my sock example, I played up that I was a style retard, incapable of buying a five-dollar pair of socks, when in reality I’m totally capable of making that decision.
And then – shazam! – you’re in like Flynn! Apparently women just melt for men who can’t figure out how to buy socks.
But it turns out that when there’s no possibility that the conversation will end with a bang, Roosh is far less interested in talking to women. Or at least in them talking back.
So much so that he’s not only banned women from commenting on his Return of Kings blog but, as of earlier this week, he’s also banning men who merely reply to women who happen to sneak past his anti-woman defenses and get in a comment or two before they’re banned. (He’s also banned “homos.” His term, not mine.)
Roosh’s announcement generated a good deal of discussion on RoK, mostly from supportive dudes glad that girls and talkers-to-girls are being thrown out of Roosh’s manly clubhouse.
Well, heck, that just means more women for me to talk to.
Excuse me, ladies, but I’m having trouble figuring out how these socks work. Do I put the delicious Pistachio ice cream in them before I put them on, or after?

Do any of these guys have the self awareness to ponder why their women visitors never have anything positive to say about PUA tactics?
Perhaps if women hate being negged and having their space very aggressively invaded, that means it’s not the best way to go about finding sexual partners.
Seems like it’s only a matter of time before even the prize of getting to have sex with women won’t be worth fraternizing with them in person, and the whole lot will start Going Their Own Way. And, as always, good riddance.

I’m guessing he means trans men. Has this dude ever been around trans men? They also have male privilege. They are just as capable of internalizing toxic masculinity as cis men, so I really don’t get why they think that biology is the most important factor.

I don’t think they have the brain cells enough to recall that trans men exist. I bet they are simply talking about women pretending to be men only on the message board just so they can post. Don’t know why anyone would bother, but I bet that’s what they’re afraid of.
That’s just the sense I got considering the context. We may never know, since us wimminz aren’t allowed to ‘talk’ or ‘ask questions’ at them.

Oh, they want to talk to you, alright. But Roosh is trying to stomp out the pernicious tendency to reply to you. In order to reply to someone, you first have to actually pay attention to what they said. Even if you’re not actually thinking about it, and just using a few keywords from their comment to forge your own tangential response, that’s still one step down the dangerous path that can only lead to realizing that women are human beings, too, and treating them as such.
The only Roosh-approved attempt to speak to or address a woman is to spew a bunch of completely random non sequiturs in an attempt to confuse her enough to get her to not notice the grease-slick dripping from your hair.

The emulate an elderly person tactic is ridiculous too. Elderly people aren’t fantastic at socializing compared to everyone else, it’s just that because they are physically weak they are seen as non-threatening.
Do you know who uses phony helplessness as a ruse? Serial killers and rapists. It’s a well known tactic, they pretend to have a broken arm and need help carrying something to isolate the victim and attack.

What makes me so sad about all of this is that there are men, as well as women, who have REAL issues. For instance – the man or woman who loses custody of children. Sometimes it is really unfair. But instead of opening a dialogue and being open to talking about the real problems and possible ways of healing them, these guys just decide a whole class of people is to blame and they froth at the mouth.
Talk about impotent! They slam the doors in the faces of people who may be able to actually help and then scream about how unfair/evil/unloving it all is. And the leaders of these guys! These fellows who follow them are being USED…by the Paul Elams of the world! Ya know, there was a famous man, back in the ’30’s and ’40’s who got folk all riled up in hate for a few groups…started a terrible war, using their hate. Fun!
