To Lana’s family and friends – I’m so sorry and am thinking of you. I don’t comment here a lot but I read, and she seemed like a fun, intelligent person.

@Nynaeve and Lana’s friends & family. You have me deepest condolences, I only know her from what she posted here but she will be missed.

@kittehs, no news on Maisie. Have done everything possible, everyone in my village is looking for her. Got Minnie chipped today. Now it’s just wait & see.

He flew with the grace of a frustrated pancake too.
Are people looking in sheds and lockups and the like? She could have got in there and be hiding because she’s scared of strangers. That’s what silly Mamie did – nipped into a shed that was rarely opened, while people were putting furniture in there. That’s why it took two weeks for them to find her. No idea what she lived on in that time unless it was mice and spiders! Didn’t do her any harm, strangely enough.

Oh yes, we accidentally shut the neighbour’s cat under our house once. Didn’t notice she nipped in while a garage door was open.

And there was our previous kitty (*my* kitty) who’d be gone for days and come back looking all “what’s the matter with you two legs, I was hunting!” (And oh how this cat could hunt!)
Here’s hoping Maisie is doing similar and will come sauntering home and look at you like you’re the one being foolish!
My condolences to Lana’s friends and family.
In cheerier things, I may’ve met someone, I’ve at least made a friend, well see if it develops beyond that. But seeing how I haven’t had anyone to make a museum trip with or the like since I moved back up here, I’m thrilled. (And going to see the dinosaurs tomorrow, and fuck being an adult, I’m going in the discovery room!)
We lost our Rowan (one of our previous cats) for two months once, turns out she’d moved in with a neighbour in the next street. In their ‘wisdom’ they’d decided to feed her and ignore all of our posters. We only tracked her down because a bloke at our local pub saw the picture we were putting up and said his next door neighbour had a new cat that looked just like her.
@kitteh,
Whatโs this about not being able to Ravelry? Iโve got your favourite on my Aston jacket and youโre on the Crafty SPINSTERS* list.
Yeah, it’s not too bad, I just had trouble commenting. I tried to post that Monty Pythons sketch I sent you and it didn’t work properly, and for some reason it put little animal characters in my comment. Me not so bright. ::shrugs::
Bit tired out with this cold, Gonna go to bed now, damn this bug, poor poorly me. ๐
Hey Ophelia, go have a look at Ravelry, I answered your post there. ๐

A little bit of happy news:
Maise is home!
I just woke up (at 5 am) with a little cat besides me on the bed. Assumed it was Minnie until I turned on the light & realised it is my prodigal kitty. She’s fine – hungry & very happy to be back, following me from room to room even after having been fed her favourite dinner/breakfast.
I’ve counted & recounted & I really do have the right number of cats again. Happiness is finding your lost kitty. Thank you, Manboobzers, for your kind encouragement over the past few days.
Just read a mention about Lana in a different thread and came here. I’m sorry to hear she passed away. Condolences to her family and friends.
titianblue, has Maisie come home safely yet?
Ophelia – LOL LOL oh my, I wish I could have seen the Dark Lord’s face when he read your email.
Wish I could have seen yours when you realised. ๐

Oh gosh, that’s great news. ๐ Hooray!
Yay!
Yay! This clearly calls for a clowder party.
Hearts are jumping with joy all over the world for titianblue and her Maisie! I am so relieved she’s all right.
I really should go back to bed & get another hour’s sleep but I’m probably too excited.
