Presented, without comment — ok, besides this comment, and the comment in the title of the post — is this headline from the Men’s Rights subreddit:
Thanks once again to AgainstMensRights for finding this one.
Also, it’s BRITNEY. Not Brittany. Britney. One T, followed by NEY. B-R-I-T-N-E-Y. It’s not hard to remember.
MMMM, sesame balls! Those were part of my childhood. That and egg tarts! 😀
^ This is the reason why I can’t ever go vegan. I’m too addicted to egg tarts.
I’m meh on eggs in general, but sesame balls are awesome. There’s this one restaurant that we pretty much only go to because it does them well. Also black sesame ice cream.
I’m also very fond of hot fruity things like crumble, especially when the fruit part is a bit tart so there’s a flavor contrast.
Kitteh — I could upload LBT’s Borg critters to the shared upload folder and folks could manually pick one and “this troll has been
assimilatedbanned/modd’ed”Pick a Borg critter and paste a stock phrase isn’t nearly as complex as writing a cute little story. Still manual, but simple.
I like batter on fish to be thin enough to be crisp. We mostly have hoki with breadcrumbs, rather than with batter.
I like the idea of Borg Crittering the trolls! What do others think?
Random for Americans – if there’s a Trader Joe’s near you, they just started making these chicken parmesana things on a stick that are really good because they’re coated in Panko rather than batter.
kittehs – I like this idea. 😀
Maybe we should have a borgified troll SPECIFICALLY for trolls.
CassandraSays – Does it have tomato sauce in it? I’ve found that I can’t consume tomato sauce anymore due to the smell.
Tomato sauce as in canned or whatever. Pizza is fine, but pasta sauce is not.
@ Alice
It does have some tomato sauce. Basically think chicken parmigana, but on a stick. They were handing out samples.
More like pizza sauce than pasta sauce – thick, so it won’t make the breading soggy.
“Maybe we should have a borgified troll SPECIFICALLY for trolls.”
You’ll have to ask LBT, but if we go for one set image and stock phrase, I can automate it.
Alice – what about three Borgified billy goats for destroying trolls? 😀
Trader Joe’s is one shop I envy you lot. ::turns green::
Did you know that Trader Joe’s always has free coffee? There’s an urn somewhere in every store, with milk and sugar on the side.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
With the weather we’ve been having lately I’ve been tempted to hug the coffee urn.
CassandraSays – Ah, okay, I’ll check it out. Hopefully it won’t smell.
Argenti – True. Damn it, I’m now tempted to donate, but I don’t want my mother to find out that I donated money.
kittehs – 😀 Three feminist goats.
So, Futrelle, by your logic, I suppose we can’t complain about the (alleged) discrimination against women in the United States. After all, Saudi Arabia exists!!!111!eleventy!1
I love the idea of a borgified troll, if LBT doesn’t mind doing one.
I’ve always wanted to try a deep-fried Twinkie. I don’t know why – it just sounds good.
RE: feintone
OMG ODE TO A HAGGIS. I got to go to Burns Night back when I lived in Texas. It was glorious. I want to shove Robbie Burns into the face of everyone who thinks poetry is all delicate and metaphorical and high-minded.
RE: Argenti
I am more than willing to donate my borgcritters to the cause. Especially since it looks like I’ll be drawing ten in total! o_o (Don’t worry, I can totally do them, I just didn’t expect to have so many! It’s a pleasant surprise.)
RE: Alice
Maybe we should have a borgified troll SPECIFICALLY for trolls.
I have an opening, a critter unspoken for, so I could totally do a troll! Confession, though, I’d probably do a troll in the way of those horrifying little troll dolls that were big in the early 90s.
LBT – YAY! Also, do it do it do it do it. Borgified Troll dolls would be hilarious.
Borgified troll it is! But I claim no responsibility for traumatized minds afterward!
Also, hippodameia requested a dog. By necessity, this means you guys will be getting a borgie corgie.
I was haunting the Redpill subreddit (because LOLs) and I came across someone trying to convince the redpillers to pitch in for this:
http://www.parsemusfoundation.org/vasalgel-home/
Vasalgel is basically RISUG. Was that the contraceptive that caused high rates of sterility? I don’t recall–but then again, a more-reversible form of vasectomy is still good, if not the male equivalent of the pill.
Looking into the Paresemus Foundation, it actually looks interesting. Some of their other projects involve spay/neuter techniques for dogs and cats and a pill that may help prevent HIV transmission.
So it looks like sometimes the Redpiller stumble on something cool.
The study still isn’t funded. I wonder how much they actually will end up donating in the end.
I dearly hope the redpillers totally blow my mind by donating a lot and actually doing something besides complain. But I doubt it.
Y’ll made me think of pizza. I like goat cheese ,artichokes ,tomatoes ,and onions.
Thanks..
