[TRIGGER WARNING: QUOTES CONTAIN TRANSPHOBIA, ADVOCACY OF VIOLENCE TOWARDS TRANS WOMEN]
Pickup guru and human stain Roosh V. continues his search for attention at any cost. His latest grab for page views takes the form of a nasty little post on Return of Kings ostensibly “warning” his readers how they can protect themselves from evil “[t]rannies [who] will try to trick a player to get some loving.”
The post, written by someone calling himself redpiller1985, is a transphobic rant in the form of a jokey list purporting to show guys “8 Ways To Spot A Transsexual.” Redpiller1985 starts off by declaring that
It’s not just betas and closet conning alphas trying to hold us back. It’s cross-dressing men who are so mentally ill that they think they’re women. They’re delusional omega men who think acting like a caricature of the women who don’t give them play is how they can finally get some sexual pleasure from unwitting men.
The “humor” of the post is so strained it’s doubtful it would even elicit a chuckle from even the most egregious transphobe. Redpiller1985 mocks “trannies” for allegedly having silly names “[l]ike the name Jessica but spelled as Jessika.” He think’s its hilarious that they don’t like being referred to as “he,” and that some “trannies” use words like “kyriarchy” and “cisgender.” He thinks it’s risible that “[t]ranssexuals have an incredibly high suicide and drug abuse rate..”
Indeed, a portion of the article is devoted to mocking the suicide attempt of a trans game designer; I’m not going to quote any of that.
Redpiller1985 ends by proclaiming, with mock sincerity, that all this nastiness is really an attempt to help poor “trannies” get their lives in order:
We as red pillers must even tell the most beta blue pillers in existence when the “hot girl” at the bar is really a lying mentally ill man in a dress. If we stand up to their mental illness and call them out instead of making their delusions worse. It will inspire these disfigured men to stop being omegas and start being true men again.
In the comments, someone calling himself Ben “Race War Now” Garrison declares that “Trannies will be the first to hang on the Day of the Rope.” Another commenter posts a photo of a murdered trans woman lying dead in the street, with the note “[h]ere’s a good example photo of what happens once trannies get found out.”
Not all the commenters are on board with the transbashing. One suggests that
[T]rannies (especially the Asian kind) are super friendly and outgoing. No girl is every as nice or friendly to the strange guys around her.
That bit of racial and sexual fetisihization is about as “trans-friendly” as it gets on Roosh’s hate site.
All in favor of upgrading the usual Legos to razor blades, say “Aye”….
So this increasing desperation means that Roosh is so broke that he’ll try anything to get some traffic, right?
Ben Garrison is a joke name, and so is the comment. Stormfronters from 4chan did this.
A hearty AYE! In this case.
Trust Roosh to go past tasteless to outright evil.
Behold – the greatest human rights movement of our time.
(I say we make like the The Wizard of Oz and drop a house on him.)
Asa, and that makes it better how?
It’s like they’re actively fighting to make sure none of us ever assume they’re anything other than awful, disgusting human beings. Eeugh.
Delurking to say Aye, also four sided dice, or real caltrops.
Holy shit, ugh. ugh ugh ugh. can’t even.
This demands an immediate nopetopus.
Well, they certainly can go fuck themselves.
Forget washing their mouths out with soap. I think we’ll to need break out the Brillo.
That is just…I can’t even…
I was debating between Vampire and more coding, decision made — I’m stabby, Vampire go stabby.
That quote about suicide and drug use? David left out the misogyny and ableism —
“5. Trannies have cut marks on their bodies.
Transsexuals have an incredibly high suicide and drug abuse rate. Just a good rule in general is to avoid mentally sick men and women who have those traits.”
Thus proving that I am, in fact, undateable. (It’s a jerkbrain thing)
Well shit, I just got thrown into mod for copy and pasting without editing out a slur. Let’s try that again.

That quote about suicide and drug use? David left out the misogyny and ableism –
“5. Tr*nn*** have cut marks on their bodies.
Transsexuals have an incredibly high suicide and drug abuse rate. Just a good rule in general is to avoid mentally sick men and women who have those traits.”

Hooray, irrational bullshit!
Fallacy of composition: “Some transwomen have unconventional names, therefore all do.”
Even if we don’t pay any attention to the transwomen who have completely conventional names, it’s a nonsensical claim from the start.
Test fails to address the hypothesis. The hypothesis being that trans* people require that others actively support them, and the test being actively undermining them.
A more suitable test would be to simply refuse to acknowledge their gender identity, rather than to overtly contradict it. I suspect there would be no hostility in the majority of cases.
Fallacy of composition: “The transwomen I have ‘uncovered’ did not pass, therefore transwomen do not pass.”
Much like the argument that “I can tell if your boobs are fake,” this assumes that you’ve never failed to spot a transwoman without evidence. How would you know you had failed unless you succeeded?
Fallacy-
-of-
-composition.
This one goes both ways – “Some Trans* people use academic terms. Therefore all Trans* people use academic terms. Therefore people who use academic terms are Trans*”
Also anti-intellectualism and gender-essentialism (real women aren’t educated!)
Do I need to say it? Sounds like palacey of gromposition.
Fallacy of composition. Disproves his very first fallacy (“Chloe Sagal”? Doesn’t seem at all unconventional, trashy or snowflakey).
Even before we get around to pointing out that trans* =/= bad =/= mentally ill =/= bad, it’s completely, irretrievably irrational.
Does the red pill strip away the ability to use logic or something?
Yay! My first moderation! o/
It basically came down to the fact that the entire rant is a fallacy of composition. Even assuming he’s right about a percentage of transwomen, extending it to all of them is just ridiculous.
It’s as reasonable as that claim that “I can always tell whether her boobs are fake!”
I clicked on the headachy 4chan link in the author’s bio because I’m poor at decision-making. It’s pretty downbeat over there because this is seen as a trolling failure, many of the posters seems to be mocking the author for being a twerp.
Several people have pointed out that one of two inventors of the “Red Pill” mythology is a transexual woman. It’s still like being on a school bus eavesdropping on smart-ass 7th graders, but that’s 4chan for you.
I did enjoy this exchange where someone attempts to defend Roosh’s site and fails miserably.
Hey, I don’t usually comment here, but I wanted to point out that while I agree with everything you’re saying, some of it could have been phrased better. First, tr*nny is a slur, and should be censored. Second, the preferred terminology is generally “trans woman,” not “transwoman.” When you leave the space out, it looks like “transwoman” is an entirely separate category from “woman,” instead of just an adjective.
Grrrr. Just grrrr.
Something so awful I can only growl at it.
And you are not “undateable,” Argenti. You are smart and kind. Anyone would be lucky to date you.
These things. I hope wherever they walk, they step on these things barefoot. May they grow wherever they step:

Vigs, I corrected “transwoman.” But I’m using “tranny” in quotes because I am quoting the term used by the OP and the commenters there. When I quote people using slurs, I usually keep the slurs intact to convey just how awful what they’re saying really is.
Hm… On the trans woman/trans man terminology (when you’re using it, David), I agree with Vigs as something to watch out for going forward. On the slurs (and I think you’ll agree that it is a slur), do you usually censor slurs, or do you just post trigger warnings like you did here? On this, it’s sometimes better to show the quote in all its ugly malevolence. Consistency is important on this one–if you use “n****r” as a default, then you should probably use “t****y” as well.
Ninja’ed by David. Heh.
I do have the term in the moderation filter to prevent trolls from using it as a slur.
“Trans woman/man,” rather than “transwoman/man”? Got it. Will make sure to include the space from now on.
No! Jerkbrain is a jerk! Bad jerkbrain.
Neurotypicality isn’t a requirement for dateability. Whether you’re a nice person who’s fun to interact with is far more important (in that it is important at all).
