Men’s Rights Quote of the Day: “Your typical woman would be fine making most men live in cages.”

If women ran the world, apparently
If women ran the world, apparently

Over in the Men’s Rights subreddit, a fella called EatsTinyBaldBabies offers this, er, insight:

It became quite clear to me some time ago that your typical woman would be fine making most men live in cages under 24/78 supervision if it meant they could feel just slightly safer about their lives. This is why feminists spend so much time lying to make them afraid.

Last I checked, he had gotten 18 upvotes for this BRAVE comment.

H/T to DancingMidgets in the AgainstMen’sRights subreddit for finding this little gem.

My man actually really likes his cage…though, I’m not quite sure you’d call us “typical,” exactly.

The shedding when there’s long hair is just dreadful! Hair on the floor, hair on the pillow, hair in the clothes, hair in the fridge …

Oh, wait, that’s mine. Damn.

@Hyena Girl – Considering the amount of work & expense involved, the guy would have to be *exceptional* to be worth caging. The MRA guys should resign themselves to spending all their lives in the wild…

Seconding Fade, I would really like to know what the hell is meant by the whole “24/78″ bit. That just makes… well, about as much sense as MRAs do in general, but still. I REQUIRE EXPLANATION.

My only possible guesses are even more drama (more hours = more drama) or a mistype of 24/7*

*not like I should judge to harshly; I just typed 14/7 AND 24/7 trying to get that.

Sure, that might be awkward, but just think of the benefits of a miniature Luggage!

I was assuming a typo with 24/78.

A miniature Luggage I could deal with. It’d be way handy for getting seats on trains, and not having to lug a backpack around would be good.

My brain hurts from all of the entitlement in the “loiter in parks until everyone else stays home because fuck them all” comment.

Yeah, that’s not creepy in the least. Wonder why people would worried about him? (sarcasm)

I don’t want menz in a cage. I want one to roam freely about the house/apartment, cleaning, looking pretty and most importantly making me sammiches!!

@Athywren

Yeah, you know us mans. Give us half a chance and we’ll zoom out of the cage, up the curtains and out of sight. If you ever see sign of us again, it’ll be droppings near the skirting boards and scratching in the walls at night.

Matey, that man wouldn’t “zoom” if I ran four thousand volts through it. He’s a stiff! He has gone to meet his maker and joined the choir invisible! Bereft of life he rests in peace, if you hadn’t nailed him to the perch he would be pushing up the daisies! This, is an Ex-Man.

For a minute, I thought Mark Minter was commenting again.

If you google “man in a cage” you get a bunch of really sad stories about men who’ve been kept in cages, generally by relatives who have no resources to deal with their mental illnesses/developmental delays/are just horrifically abusive.

Hey MRAs, why not advocate for those guys? Oh right, you’re more interested in making sure you don’t have to pay child support or get charged with date rape. My bad!

kittehserf

kristinmh – that so highlights the point about the MRM being the abusers’ lobby, doesn’t it? The only men they do advocate for are the ones hurting or killing women and children.
