Some of you may have noticed that I often tag my posts here with the phrase “Men Who Should Not Ever Be With Women Ever.” From time to time I worry that I’m being a tad harsh. After all, not all of these fellas are totally irredeemable, right? Right?
And then I run across some guys for whom my tag is if anything a gross understatement. So today, some Men Who Should Not Ever Be With Women Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever. And our dear old friend Roosh, the woman-hating woman-chaser, heads up the list.
The other day on Roosh’s forum, some twisted asshole posted a link to a news story about two hikers who had been rescued after getting lost in the fog in a state park in Maine — only to drown after accidentally driving off a boat launch on their way out of the park and getting trapped in their minivan.
Oh yeah, they were women.
The commenter on Roosh’s forum thought this was hilarious “proof of the equality of the genders, except when it comes to navigation, opening doors, etc.”
While a few of the commenters reacted like decent human beings and pointed out that this story wasn’t actually funny — raising the question of why they were hanging out on Roosh’s forum in the first place — others joined in with their own “jokes.”
Roosh himself set the tone, seizing on the detail that one of the women had called for help on her cell phone as as the minivan sank.
This is what happens when you create a culture of helpless women dependent on the state for everything.
The LAST thing I would think of in their case is to make a phone call with a car filling with water. Too bad they were idiots, but god gave them a chance at life on the mountain. He just said “fuck it” and let them die.
Regular forum contributor Scorpion added:
I really don’t understand how the fuck it’s possible to drive your car at full speed off a boat ramp and then have your first response be to pull out your fucking cell phone.
It’s a good case study for what happens to women when left to their own devices in a world without men. Completely and utterly helpless in a crisis. Any time something goes wrong, just pick up the phone and call a man to fix it.
Lady, that might work when it’s your basement is filling up with water, but not when it’s the sinking car you’re sitting in.
The death of the unborn baby was like a mercy-kill from God. If they had lived, no doubt the dimwitted mother would have found some other way to kill them both, like leaving the gas on or dropping a radio in the tub while bathing the baby. Amazing she made it to her late 30s. I wonder how many times the men in her life have bailed her out before.
And someone called Divorco offered his two cents as well:
This is not funny, it is a terrible tragedy
.
.
.
.
… because an innocent dog died too.
There’s more of this, much more.
And these are men who honestly think they’re inherently superior to women.
God they are awful!
There are no words.
I hope the women’s families never see that site or those comments.
That baby looks like he is 30 years old. LOL.
Re: Roosh. Fuck him. That’s all.
Some of the commentators need to find a different forum, you know, while their humanity is still intact and they have the will to do so.
I have had nightmares about drowning in my car.
Fuck Roosh very much.
I’ve been hanging around here for about a year now (mostly lurking) and I’ve read some awful stuff, but it still amazes me how these revolting people can be bothered maintaining the rage and hatred against half the population of the planet. It must be exhausting.
Hell, I’ve had nightmares about drowning, period.
I used to hate submarine movies because of the claustrophobia and the thought of all that water.
I didn’t get a twinge out of that Who episode this spring set on a Russian sub, though.
@sarahlizhousespouse
A few Roosh Forum regulars have spoken up about the increasing horribleness of the atmosphere there. A year ago there was a big hullabaloo about other posters laughing at or downright supporting men beating up women, and a few expressed their outrage. I think the blog is being taken over by a younger crowd of men (teenagers?) who simply hate women and revel in women suffering. There is a core group of old members who joined because they love to travel and have sex with lots of women, but I think a lot of them have left the forum or been banned. The focus has definitely shifted away from “having sex with women is fun!” to “Feminism sucks and all women are bad!”
Roosh has ZERO reason to take a stand against this. He lives off his book sales. No angry men = no book sales = shit I have to get a job. Men who are successful with women and live happy lives don’t buy PUA manuals. He needs a steady stream of desperate, unhappy young men to fund his lifestyle.
Remember, these people are not, I repeat NOT a hate group, and any insinuations to the contrary are shameful misandry.
(p.s. I iz catborg nao. Resistance iz few…foo…resistence iz stoopid.)
I daresay if that Farquarson scum here had murdered daughters instead of sons (he drove his car into a dam) they’d have cheered that, too.
Alice – is it just making a dishonest buck with Roosh? His whole schtick seems to be about causing women distress, whether it’s by rape or by guilt-tripping them when his mighty peen isn’t so mighty.
I think I’ve seen that baby in sitcoms, playing someone’s bumbling dad or something.
Falconer — cuz the Doctor. If he can save people from Pompeii, what’s one little sub?
On topic — that twitch that I wasn’t doing about the statistics on the other thread? It was apparently saving itself for this thread. Tragedy cuz the dog died too *twitch*
These guys aren’t acquainted with water pressure are they? You need glass at least 1/4″ // 6mm thick for a 10g tank. The pressure exerted by water, in a 15″ deep tank, needs 1/4″ glass to be safe, same length (24″) and 3′ deep? 16 mm // 2/3″…that’s for 2′ wide object. 8′ wide at 3′ deep? 20mm // just over 3/4″. You need glass 3/4″ thick for an 8′ long tank not to explode at 3′ deep. Three feet.
In other words, by the time your windows are under water, opening the door is going to be damned near impossible because water exerts way more pressure than people seem to realize. (Open the windows the moment you realize you’re in water, yes it’ll flood the car, it’ll also give you an exit hatch)
Point here? They could easily make the same mistake. No, really, click through to the original news story, the local rescue team et al knew exactly what happened the moment they heard and said pretty much that anyone (who didn’t know the area) could make the same mistake.
Our lovely boys over at Roosh’s blog failed to mention that it was foggy and the ramp they drove off was directly connected to the road. A penis wouldn’t have made it easier to see through the fog.
Kittehserf, I don’t think it is JUST making a buck, but probably equal parts that and misogyny. He certainly believes what he writes, and is in no way putting on an act. But the guy gets to travel the world and doesn’t have to work a boring “beta” desk job as long as his income continues. He is very motivated to preserve that stream of income. I think he is definitely bitter about back in his college days, when he bought a girl a Chipotle burrito and she didn’t put out. His soul has definitely darkened over the years, as he has discussed in his old posts.
That snake’s only got one eye, after all.
These dudes need to remove themselves from humanity as a whole, post haste. I don’t think even they deserve to interact with each other. They need to spend the rest of their lives talking to crickets or something.
@Argenti: Well, Pompeii was some lava-elemental creatures no one had ever heard of that apparently could be held off with a water pistol.
The sub was a gol dang Ice Warrior, and a lone one at that. I’m surprised the Doc managed to save as many as he did.
The car-in-water thing is probably one of the more famous Mythbuster episodes. They pretty effectively proved that the typical electric window motor can’t move a window against the water pressure only a few feet deep.
I was less encouraged to see Adam fail to get out of a car that had been submerged upside-down a couple years ago.
@katz: I’m glad I swallowed before I read your comment.
Yeah if you wait until the window is covered, you’d best have something to break it with. I was just doing some quick math and a 2′ x 1′ sunroof, if you could lift it straight up, would be lifting about 180 lbs at one foot underwater
If anyone wants to guess how big a car door is, I’ll do the math. But it’s a safe bet that a strong man would be in no better position.
Seriously, today’s PSA? Open the windows as soon as you hit the water!
(No, really, a 10g tank weighs 85~ lbs if you round up to account for substrate, my 55g? Over 450 lbs. water is not fucking light)
Crickets deserve better than that. Even if they don’t have ears.
Falconer — *squirt squirt* I bloody love you.
Oh dear gods. Pompeii is the daleks’ fault. The elemental things where there because their planet had been stolen by the daleks.
My favorite line in that episode? MODERN ART!!
If you’re unconscious when the car goes into the water, you’re screwed.
Beloved and I drove out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina once. It included a trip over a bridge just a few feet above the surface of the bay, then a big hump over a channel, then a tunnel under the water.
I did not have fun.
But at least they had the decency to leave a guide to the most masculine oldies music in their signature.
It’s hard to pack more fallacies within so few words. One case of the tragic death of hikers = women are more likely to die due to bad judgement. Can we use this case to illustrate how men are more likely to not understand how basic statistics work? No, we won’t, because we understand basic probabilities. I guess Roosh’s boys were too busy not getting the cooties in grade 10 math class.
Of course, the fact that men win the Darwin awards more often than women is also evidence that women are more likely to die due to bad judgement.*
Of course, the fact that women pay less insurance than men because they have less accidents is evidence of women’s incapability to drive properly.
(Obviously math is misandric)
What a bunch of winners.
*To be clear, I don’t think men have any kind of intrinsic propensity to die due to bad judgement than women. Just applying some special Roosh logic.
I saw a gif of Capaldi’s character showing off the TARDIS, which he’d just had yanked off the street, and looking so proud of himself.
Yeah, he’s going to make a great Doctor.
And I had either forgotten or missed the detail about the Daleks having stolen that planet.
But I do have a Netflix account, and NuWho streams …. it’s research, I swear!
Are you fucking kidding me? Wow.
