If you ever need proof that Menโs Rights Activists live in a world of their own, check out this, er, argument, found in a posting on A Voice for Men UK, the official British franchise of the American hate site we know so well :
All women are homophobic.
Whether the men being prejudiced against are gay or not is kind of beside the point – after all, ‘homo’ = man, ‘phobia’ = fear, therefore: ‘homophobia’ = Fear of Man – but, if you want to quibble over Greek & Latin etymology, perhaps we can at least agree on this: all women, to a greater or lesser extent, display the ‘symptoms’ we attribute to said condition: overt caution, fear &/or disdain of men.
Yep, thatโs right. In order to find an excuse to call women โhomophobic,โ theyโve invented an entirely new definition for the word not based in any way on the actual etymology of the word “homophobia” (which is of course derived from “homosexual”) but on something they’ve just made up.
By this logic, the word โhomosexualโ would not mean โof, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sexโ but rather โman sexual.โ If we take this to mean โattracted to men,” this would suggest that all straight women with sex drives would therefore be homosexual as well. Brilliant, A Voice for Men UK.
The author of the post then uses this weird logic to make excuses for actual homophobia among straight men:
Female ‘homophobia’ is so normalized in our society that treating every man you meet like ‘Schrรถdinger’s Rapist’ is considered an ordinary, common sense fact of life – just so long as you are a woman. But if a man feels at all uncomfortable around another man sexually, he is presently branded an evil bigot for behaving the way all women do at all times.
A Voice for Men: they reject your reality, and substitute nonsensical unreality that allows them to say bad things about women.
The court is a pirate ship?
Is that because it has flags with gold fringe?
Does anyone have a link to the video? The video was hilarious.
@Gillyrosebee: That was a super interesting explanation. Yeah, the cat is of course also an observer.
ANYWAY, what Katz said. Shrรถdinger’s rapist is a shit term because since there are a hundred different ideas of what Shrรถdinger’s cat is actually about (proven by the fact that people start arguing about it whenever it’s brought up, much like we do now), Shrรถdinger’s rapist is bound to be misunderstood a lot. Yeah, if you’re a feminist who have read Shapely prose or related blogs you know what it’s about, but anyone else (not just MRA:s who willfully misunderstand things) can easily get it wrong because it says that a strange man is analogous to a thought experiment cat WHOM PEOPLE HAVE A HUNDRED DIFFERENT IDEAS ABOUT.
But if everyone else loves the term Shrรถdinger’s rapist I’m not gonna nag on and on and try to convince you but simply note that we disagree and STFU. So, my last post ever on why I don’t like the term Shrรถdinger’s rapist.
Davey, I tend to atree with your interpretation of Schrodinger’s cat. It is a reducto ad absurdum partially because Schrodinger didn’t like the idea of superposition. The cat is meant to be both alive and dead at the same time until observed. The idea of the cat as the observer highlight the measurement problem (when do you know the measurement has been taken). Since we are assuming no information leak from the box the quantum superposition should exist to the wider world until the box is opened.
Not sure why a cat was chosen, but the idea of alive and dead was chosen to find a two level system where you can’t imagine a concept inbetween.
It isn’t about not knowing though. You can not know in the classical world. The concept is that in the quantum world the information doesn’t exist until observation and observation changes the information. The information can’t be known.
Sorry Dvarg didn’t notice spell check had automatically corrected your name.
I’m bored so I am watching the PAN clip in full….
(sounds like a rehash of his blog posts for the past 5 years)
PAN’s conclusion:
“…I have denounced Paul Elam as an agent (of the Illuminati). I have no evidence Karen is an agent”
Ps I am an ASIO (Australian secret service) agent
Pss because everyone who disagrees with PAN is an ASIO agent….
@auggz, i had a girlfriend with a parrot who did the same thing. When I was around, especially if we were cuddling, the parrot would get nasty, but if my GF wasn’t there, he’d be great with me. According to my GF, it was a jealousy thing. I guess parrots tend to pair-bond with their owners and often see the owner’s romantic partners as rivals. I guess, I’m not a bird person. Love ’em from a distance, but don’t think I could have them as pets. ๐
@cloudiah
Oh wow LOOK at ALL of that RANDOM CAPITALIZATION!
What a weird dude.
The video and transcript — good luck!

P-A:N(c) loves that picture of himself so much, that when you open up his YouTube video channel it’s like a wall of P-A:N(c)’s staring back at you. Don’t say you weren’t warned!
Oddly, CassandraSays, that court video doesn’t seem to be on there.
Oh, MRAs – why are you so quirky?
(I wish they were merely quirky)
This is sovereign citizen “quirky” not MRA “quirky”. Sovereigns get FBI mention.

@auggz, sorry if I got kinda ‘splainy there. I realized as soon as I posted it that you, being an actual bird owner, are probably well aware of that. I was just excited to show off my tiny modicum of bird knowledge. ๐
Also, since I know there are a lot of Whovians here, did y’all see that Peter Capaldi is the 12th Doctor?
*shoves fingers in ears* SPOILERS!!
My freeze peach! Well, fridge peach! It’s for breakfast. I nom on your freeze peach!
Oh no, I didn’t think that was a spoiler! ๐ Sorry Argenti!
Whoot! I’ve only seen him in a couple of things I recall – he was Lord Fellamar in Tom Jones and a left-wing activist in Foyle’s War – but I really like him from those roles. And an older actor again at last! Yay!
It’s been announced, Argenti, how’s that a spoiler? ๐
Auggz, he thinks that if he puts the right punctuation in his name then laws don’t apply to him. Why those particular punctuation marks, though, I don’t know.
auggziliary, as I recall it’s because he thinks by writing his name that way he is now a corporation, and his name is his trademark, and under the admiralty court he can now come after anyone who uses his name and collect 40 troy ounces of gold, or something.
Funny, isn’t it – I don’t recall real corporations coming after people using their names. The news industry might have a few things to say about it if they tried.
Or perhaps sonny Jim is just confused about where he lives. Even our most rabidly reactionary mining millionaires and their political lackeys don’t try for the “corporations are people” USian bullshit.
Yet.
*USian conservatives’ bullshit, I should have said.
Peter-Andrew:Nolan(c) also thinks he can stare down packs of wild dogs with his eyes, so I’m just saying that maybe we can’t assume a high degree of legal knowledge…
Hey, there’s an MRA Cthulhu. Also a Feminist Yog-Sothoth, linked on the same page.
The newest Doctor seems like a fine choice to me. I am sure the producers of Dr. Who were waiting nervously for my approval. ๐
Also, if anyone feels like making fun of an MRA analysis of 50 Shades of Gray/BDSM, Twilight, etc., take a look at this r/mr thread. Lots of LOLs.
