Apparently, to a lot of the regulars in the Men’s Rights subreddit — like the hundreds who upvoted a post of this picture — the notion that men should raise their sons to respect women as equals is nothing more than foul propaganda and MISANDRY of the highest order.
And seriously, those guys in the poster look like total White Knight Beta Manginas.
Some of the Men’s Rightsers were especially offended by the white ribbon at the bottom of the poster, which they saw as a vaguely sinister reminder of a World War I campaign to shame British men into enlisting in the army. Because suggesting to your sons that boys and girls should be treated equally is the same as being guilt-tripped into becoming cannon fodder:

Marriage is misandric! Have you been to a wedding guys? The man has to get up in front of all those people and promise to do all this stuff for a woman! OK, sure, so does the woman but ladies are supposed to be doing a bunch of stuff for men. The only things men are supposed to do for women involve his penis in some way. How else will he find time to get together with other Men and make Manly important Things happen? This poster is clearly a subtle form of ‘bride-washing’ concocted by bitter feminists who want to lock down an alpha to feed them mammoths and hunt the stray bon bons that have fallen down the back of the sofa, when it is man’s natural state to have fertile HB10 18 year olds making him sammiches for all his days. No babies though, the fertility is just for decoration.

The white ribbon campaign is anti-male and we believe they are being deceitful. That is why we are not buying it.
Oh, and the last wedding I went to not only were the flowers, tablecloths, invitations and bride’s dress white, so was the dessert! Not even cheesecake, most manly of the desserts, remains untainted.

I just read the comments at reddit. Wow. What a bunch of lazy, good-for-nothing assholes over there. No wonder I’ve dropped pretty much every friend who happens to be a redditor. Eventually they reveal themselves to be hateful, small-minded jerks with no idea how to live in the real world. I just never realized that being active on reddit isn’t just a coincidence, but a symptom of a much larger problem.
