So here’s an interesting chart. Guess what it represents?
A) The membership of the David Duke Fan Club
B) The racial breakdown of the most successful Liberace impersonators
C) The demographics of the Men’s Rights subreddit
Well, ok, that was too easy. It is of course all of the above. I’m guessing. It’s definitely C, at least, as this chart was prepared to show the results of the 2013 Men’s Rights subreddit demographic survey.
Now, you might say, well, isn’t Reddit itself a pretty white place? And you would be right. But the Men’s Rights subreddit seems to be a bit whiter — and a lot less black — than Reddit as a whole, if Quantcast’s estimates of Reddit’s overall ethnic breakdown are accurate.
In other completely non-surprising news, 89% of Men’s Rights Redditors are men. And a lot of them are libertarians. MRAs complain endlessly that we pigeonhole them as a bunch of entitled white dudes. They’re really not doing much to challenge that assumption.
The most important issue to these fellas (and the small minority that aren’t fellas)? Survey says: False rape accusations.
Other critical issues to the Men’s Rightsers include “custody rights” (which is a bit odd because 92% of those surveyed have no kids), “legal discrimination” (whatever that means), “education discrimination” (this is a thing?), and “male disposability.”
“Male birth control” and “paper abortion,” while relatively less important to the Men’s Rightsers, each got hundreds of votes.
I’m surprised “friendzoning” isn’t at the top of the list, but unfortunately it wasn’t one of the choices. I blame misandry.
I am behind in reading and somewhat cross-eyed from looking at spreadsheets all night (yup, it’s a wild Friday night for me), but did OF actually ask us to supply the heights of all the men dated by feminists? Does he think we keep an Access database or something?
I’ve dated guys anywhere from 5ft6 to 6ft5. I guess I’m misandrist sometimes and not at other times?
But yeah, lol at the hypocrisy. He’ll fit right in with the MRM, for sure.
What, no one offered to share the spreadsheet with you on Google docs? We must remedy this oversight immediately.
Also, some dude just tried to randomly hit on me via Skype, and he lives at the other end of the state. Why do people do that? Like, did he think I might get on a plane down to LA right now and fuck him?
“Definitely male // female so it can include

cloudiah, you have all the fun! ::pouts::
My mom married two relatively short men, so does she get double the Good Woman points or does she lose points for not remaining the property of the first man who laid claim?
Probably the latter, Viscaria, ‘cos Bad Woman points always outweigh Good Woman points.
*fistbump* I just spent an hour changing 4s to 3s, 5s to 4s, 6s to 5s, 7s to 6s, and 8s to 7s. It was thrilling.
Do the MRAs keep track of all their partners’ heights? Let’s at least try to get some symmetry in record-keeping.
@Katz
Wouldn’t there be an easier way to do that?
Hellkell, have some Purple sage.
I’m in a bit of strife with this height thingie. My dad was short – about the same height as my mum. My father-in-law was a bit shorter than that, but taller than m-i-l. My husband and I were about the same height, but I’m taller now – that may not last once shrinking-old-lady-itis sets in. One daughter’s partner is shorter than she is, the other has a taller partner.
So. Are we or are we not a bunch of misandrists? Does this status change as age and injury affect individuals? What to do, what to do! I’m all confuzzled.
Also, for those of us who’re on the petite side (just over 5ft2 in my case), how are we supposed to consistently find men who’re shorter than we are?
There would be if I was changing every 4 to a 3.
Aren’t young girls usually taller than young boys of the same age? If you had some cute playground romance as a girl, you were probably a budding misandrist.
Of course, if you were off riding the alpha (non-cock) carousel instead, that’s probably also misandristicalous. What’s a child to do?
@Katz
Aah.
Also, what about regional variation? I’m 5’8″, which is smallish in my native Australia, and dating me would therefore be non-misandrist, but what if I were with a lady and we moved to Vietnam, where I’d be quite tall? At which point does she become a misandrist? Getting her passport stamped? Crossing the border? Entering the Vietnamese airspace? Does my habit of wearing Cuban heels affect this at all?
So… if I’m taller than a woman, and she won’t date me, then she’s not being misandrist, but egalitarian? got it.
@CassandraSays
Carry a chainsaw for Human Rights.
Pecunium — only if she’s thinner than you? Gotta keep those beauty standards consistant! (Also, that basically ensures you can date anyone old enough to legally date)
I am SO adding “a scrawny ass” to the smart ass question! XD
lowquacks – good point! My former French barista (who’s sold his cafe – sob) is 5′ 7″ and said it’s average in France, but when he’s here he’s short.
My FiL is shorter than my MiL and Mr K is shorter than his first wife. My SiL is way shorter than her husband and he’s only 5′ 4″. Misandry, misandry everywhere, even in arranged marriages!
I am 5’8″ and I am more attracted generally to men taller than me, but the majority of the men I have actually dated for extended periods have been shorter than me, though admittedly not by much.
I … am not sure what to make of that. Which is why we need MOAR DATA. Send me that spreadsheet, Cassandra.
@Kittehs
I would’ve assumed the French were tall! Hmm.
If you were wondering, Lavvy’s still around. He’s a little feak and weeble and on antiinflamatories and pain medication (which he’s very good about taking!) but still very cuddly and purry and happy-seeming.
Ooooh! Prob’ly the reason those relationships haven’t lasted is that I am height-hypergamous! I have found a solution that jibes with the manosphere, and I can go to sleep now, dreaming of my perfectly accurate spreadsheets (according to my boss, who is apparently also having a fun Friday night).
@lowquacks, Yay for cuddly, purry, happy cats. It’s a good world with more of them in it. Thanks for the update!
Niters, cloudiah!
lowquacks – I don’t remember being towered over when I visited France back in the day (I was a couple of inches taller then), come to think of it. Certainly my in-laws were about average height or a smidgen shorter for their earthly days; “middle-sized comely proportion” is how one bloke described Louis. Only Bourbon I know of who’s tall-tall is Louis’s niece Mlle de Montpensier, who was way tall for the time, and much taller than the short fellow she may have secretly married.
