Two rage comics that capture well the true human tragedy that is FRIENDZONING, both of which I found in the awesome Blue Pill subreddit. The one above is by dont_buy_me_gold; the one below by SaltyChristian (who is, incidentally, a CERTIFIED ALPHA).
I have heard rumors that the entire Blue Pill subreddit is not actually a hangout for super alpha dudes but rather a parody of the Red Pill subreddit but I choose not to believe them, much in the same way I choose not to believe in the supposed “law” of gravity. It’s A THEORY, people!
(Note: These are both parodies, by the way, in case there is any confusion.)
Oooh, these are good parodies….
Spot on.
I actually just did a post about friend zoning two weeks ago. Surprisingly, I’ve only gotten flak about it from one commenter… 🙂
You have got to be kidding me.
That first one is indistinguishable from the real thing.
Is this the zombie form of Poe’s Law?
I guess this particular Olive Garden was an MRM hub.
Olive Garden: Go for the low-quality wine and endless breadsticks, stay for the foaming mouth, tinfoil hat wearing, comradery.
In the third panel of the first comic I first read the guy as saying, “but i can give good socks to you!” by mistake, which only made it funnier.
But I can give good socks to you! I’m a knitter!
But I only give socks to men who I am very close to. By which I mean my dad. Who loves handknit socks.
Free socks should a right.
I’m not American and don’t get the Olive Garden reference? And yeah, I thought the first one was genuine too.
Graham Olive Garden is a huge chain of casual Italian restaurants all over the US. They are known more for the large plate sizes & free breadsticks than for the quality of their food.
The first one is pretty ambiguous…lol
It’s an “Italian” restaurant that serves sub par food of the variety considered Italian by people who are not Italian. My brother swears the bread sticks are good though.
They make themselves out as a fancy restaurant with great prices, but it’s basically your standard family food place, a step above diners but not really fancy. Food’s decent, just not Italian, and the prices are good, so basically just pretension plus food.
So yeah, endless breadsticks, lots of other filers so you won’t actually eat that much of the “endless pasta” and wine, which is apparently not very good, though I’ve never tried it.
In other things, it’s nearly 90°F here. Someone teleport me some chilly weather?
Thanks cloudiah.
Totally ninja’ed. Please send cold air!
And Argenti.
BTW, I just launched a PUA/MRA character on my YouTube channel:
Early days, and possibly too close to the real thing to be funny. The next one should make it more obvious that he’s a parody.
RE: Argenti
Urgh, it’s muggier than Satan’s jockstrap today, and I STILL don’t have my room yet.
I can’t stay in my closet during daylight hours; it’s a death trap.
I’m fond of Olive Garden because, when I went my mom and my older siblings to that place, they would try to get as many Andes mints for me as they could. I don’t really care about their food, though.
Graham, I’m getting a “This video does not exist” message.
Also, what’s the over/under on how long it will take MRAs to start whining about this?
To clarify, they did that for me when I was like 5. Just in case it sounds odd that family members are giving an 18-year-old tons of candy for no reason.
Doh, that’s how professional I am. Does this work:
No. Sorry David, can you delete those?
