Today, something kind of amazing that’s been making its way around Tumblr: a recording of Saruman — well, someone doing a pretty good impersonation of Christopher Lee as Saruman — doing a dramatic reading of an MRA-ish rant from a Reddit shitlord.
You’ll have to listen closely, because the rant is a bit convoluted and concern-trolly. Also, the commenter comes back with a couple of edits after he gets benned from whatever subreddit this took place in, apparently SRS.
Listen to it here.
Thanks to MollyRen for bringing this to my attention.
EDITED: Definitely not Mr. Lee.
Not everyone who strength trains neglects their overall fitness.
Trust pemra to focus on one sentence and totally miss the point of Ray’s whole comment.
He needs the attention. He really really needs it. Why is everyone acting like plaque is more interesting than he is? Must be the misandry.
It’s because he’s a horrible white man monster, duhhh.
Also, I think it’s naive to say that looks don’t matter, for men or women. Obviously it does, but it’s not the only thing. Looks and personality together, now that’s a potent cocktail. 😉
Thank you for your brilliant insights into life and the human condition.
Run for your lives!

Now, those are looks.
Gee Pemra’s clever, how can we all cope with such insights?
Who the fuck knew a combination of pleasant personality and outward appearance could make someone particularly attractive? What a profound insight.
Did you know that touching hot things can result in painful burns? Don’t cuddle your stove while naked, kids. This has been today’s edition of Pronouncements for Idiots.
Apparently some of the regulars here, haven’t learned that it’s rude to insert oneself into a conversation just to be negative.
Apparently Mr. Poopy here hasn’t learned it’s rude to talk at people, assuming they are idiots.
All together now!
@PEMRA
Actually, bodybuilding and weightlifting are considered two different Olympic sports. Bodybuilding is often very unhealthy, as bodybuilders will often starve and dehydrate themselves during competition season to achieve that saran-wrap skin look to make their muscles as defined as possible. Weightlifting focuses purely on endurance and physical strength. Both require amazing levels of discipline and healthy eating, but bodybuilders will often induce muscle growth at the cost of functional strength by performing inefficient lifts.
While weightlifting can be dangerous, especially if someone has joint damage, if done correctly it allows people to retain mobility into old age, boosts mood, increases metabolism (helping lower overall bodyfat by increasing resting metabolic rate, which can in turn help prevent type II diabetes), increases bone density (lowering the risk of osteoporosis), and a host of other benefits. This isn’t to say that cardio isn’t important, too– everyone needs a healthy heart– but it isn’t black and white. It can be incredibly beneficial for athletes who do cardio-based sports, too. I know a lot of cyclists and swimmers who started lifting because it helped them go faster. Hell, I originally got into it to improve my 5k time back when I used to row.
Apparently pemra has no idea how open discussion threads work, or that he’s a troll and, unlike the regulars (and non-troll newcomers) not in the least welcome.
Anyway I thought you were going to bed, pemra? Or are you really Mr Al doing one of his obsessive turns here?
A typical Medieval feminist plaque. These killed over a quarter of the population in some areas, because women can’t use tools properly.
The first word on the third line is SLAIN, if you were wondering. Fraktur fonts are tricky to read in capitals.
Lowquacks, what does the last line say? I can’t read it!
The last line is “LOL”.
Oh lor’, I’m reading the Alpha Wolf thread from August, and NumptyMinty’s there, wittering at great length about how great PUA is. This must be before he decided he has to hide from teh ebil matriarchy.
Sorry, I meant last long line – something on the (?) site of feminisme?
Pike!
I wish I had the time and skill to animate this speech because I’m picturing all sorts of hilarious things right now.
