Screencap of the Day: The MensRightsWiki “Activism” Page

mensrightswikiactivism

Impressive! Here’s the link. Maybe they’ll eventually fill this blank page with inspiring tales of harassing women, including women they’ve mistakenly targeted because MRAs, on the exceedingly rare occaisions they try to be activists, are the most inept and gullible activists the world has ever seen.

And while we’re at it, here’s the Wiki’s ethics page.

ethics

Wow! Instead of nothing, this time they have a list of nothings.

Thanks to Reddit’s veduualdha and StephenMurphy for pointing out these links in r/againstmensrights.

LOL. No organization, no investment, no real unity of purpose… It’s oddly reassuring.

Wow, that wiki’s just one big spam farm at this point, isn’t it? Almost everything linked on the main page is empty or occupied by a handful of quotes. Whoever started that thing lost interest fast. It’s almost as though MRAs don’t have the gumption to do anything productive.

So here are some fun stats about the Mens [sic] Rights Wiki: It was started in August by a dude going by “ThothMRA” who – shockingly enough – seems to be from Reddit. He held on for a whole three months before what passed for “activity” stopped in November. Hard to blame him – the site never had more than about six legit editors. There was one poor bastard who showed up a few days ago, but his contributions have completely vanished under a few hundred spam posts.

You may wish to browse the list of most popular pages, if only to marvel at how many are blank.

I find the MRM crowd often whines about things that feminist groups are actually doing things to change. Of course they don’t want you to point that out to them. Instead they want to tell you how women are oppressing them by supporting these things.

I wouldn’t be so hard on the wiki authors here. It’s hard to write an article on something that doesn’t exist.

I know that it wouldn’t be nice, but I’m kind of hoping that somebody makes an account and edits all of the pages with super-exaggerated MRA-type-things, just to see whether or not anybody catches on. It would be really funny.

@Mary

Seconded. I am not nice 😉 Though, one kinda wonders if they would ever catch on…

Here’s some truly ridiculous MRA legal action from the UK. Peter Lloyd may be the next Tom Martin.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2311098/Peter-Lloyd-Why-Im-suing-gym-sexist-women-hours.html

Tell you what – when I see women dominating the weights room, setting up on multiple machines and not leaving any room for men; or when I see newbie women condescending to men who clearly have more experience at weight lifting and exercise (including ones who are gym employees or personal trainers) – Then I might think this asshat has a point.

Women use 100% of the gym for 442 hours a year. Men use 75% of it for all the other hours of the year.

Kittehserf

“‘I’m suing the gym for gender bias. Not simply because their policy is unfair, but because it pathologises masculinity while simultaneously repressing it.'”

Hahahahaha fucking moron. He can’t even accept the idea that women want a bit of privacy from being stared at or hit on by men while they’re exercising. Piss off, sonny. It’s not your masculinity that’s pathological, it’s your view of yourself as a victim or being hard-done-by just because women get to have a bit of private space on occasion. Boo hoo!

WeeBoy, thanks for the link, I needed a giggle 🙂 This would be why Guardian readers call The Daily Mail, The Daily Fail.

Unfortunately I’m not surprised, considering it’s the same paper that brought us the ‘story’ justifying the racially motivated killing of a squirrel!

I say, fine, give him his men’s only hours. If nobody bothers to use them there’s your proof that they weren’t necessary. If people do use them then cool, the gym will want to keep offering them.

That’s what I get for being too lazy to Google. I don’t understand these dudes–most gyms are far more male-oriented. Just like most other spaces.

What’s the bet that if gyms did offer men’s only times, MRAs would avoid it because of fear of THE GAYZ?

katz

LMFAO. Doad’s wiki about that random D&D campaign he ran that one time is bigger than that.

Aaliyah

“‘I’m suing the gym for gender bias. Not simply because their policy is unfair, but because it pathologises masculinity while simultaneously repressing it.’”

Yet another MRA who overlooks hir own misandry. Who said that masculinity necessarily involves staring down women, harassing them, and hitting on them?

karak

This underscores this weird phenomena I see in MRAs–they really think feminists should do everything *for* them. They really believe they are special children that women should take care of forever, that women should breast-feed them and be fuckholes and then do their activism *for* them.

Every other underrepresented group has a long and rich history of telling the main group to fuck off and created their own activism. Lesbians and WoC pushed hard against the mainstream feminism that they (rightly) felt wasn’t interested in them, trans* people are demanding representation and visibility in Gay Rights organizations and communities, and most of their anger is directed towards people that *claim* to speak for them but didn’t. They’ve formed a great activist community and are doing great things to demand to be heard.

But MRAs do… nothing. Nothing at all.

Mark Minter

Manbbob, I’ve told you this before. You have little to fear from MRA activism. They lack balls, they are whining, crybabies that can’t see the world as it is. They think they can “fix” the system, reason with women, make this society better.

And they are dead wrong. This society is broken and will never be fixed.

Men need to learn to replace old values with new, with a new consciousness, with a new awareness of women, what women are, the truth about them, and how best to take what men want from women, without playing those tired old stupid games, being slaves, being fools like those men that have comes before us. They need to redefine masculinity on our terms, with no regard to what is good for women or what women want.

Like Roosh said “I don’t care no stupid divorce laws. I am not marrying an American women. I don’t care about family and custody law because I am not having a child with an American woman.”

And even issues like your women throwing resumes in the trash. And oh yeah here’s study by People Management showing bias in HR against men that was prinied on recruiter.com

http://www.recruiter.com/i/people-management-finds-widespread-hr-bias-against-men-and-overweight-women/

And here is Dr Helen Smith talking about institutional bias against men

http://pjmedia.com/drhelen/2012/04/20/why-the-us-economy-is-biased-against-men/

See, so we’ve known this for a while and we know there will be no justice. So on our sites, we teach entrepreneurialism, or sectors to work in to avoid it, and really emigration, abandoning America and moving elsewhere if you can.

You have far far more to fear from Game, baby. We convert millions, teen boys, young men. See manboob, we are new counterculture, the new radicals, and we speak to those men not on the whiny, crybaby terms of MRA, but on terms of having balls, on the terms of living life as men choose, through knowledge, through science, through the truth.

They come because they think they can get more puddy. But to learn the techniques you have to learn to the truth and evo psych. And now were branching into neuroscience. And like this paper I am reading says in referring to Evo Psych theories about emotions, adaptive behavior and Neuroscience research into brain mechanics

“Should neuroscience andthe evolutionary social sciences ever approach something resembling consensus on theseissues, we would feel the ground shift, particularly in jurisprudence and ethics.”

Here’s an example. I wrote a piece on the neuroscience of bonding, on what actually happens to create bonding, literally diffused any hocus pocus mumbo jumbo about any bullshit love or soul mates. So now when “youngboy” feels the “love” he says to himself, “that just the dopamine talking”. He knows it’s a ticket to a slave chain around his neck. He knows to get out of the bedroom, get away from the scent, let x days pass before seeing the woman again to fight the effects of the dopamine. It’s not love, it’s chemistry. Pump her and dump her. Avoid the chain gang.

So they come for the puddy and they get a lesson that blows holes in your theories and the basis of feminism and in the end, they despise women, and learn to resist. So fuck a bunch of MRAs.

And there are millions of them, man. Millions. Ain’t the internet wonderful.

And the real beauty Manboob, is that you can’t shame them, you can’t hurl that misogynist epithet and have them think “oh, no. I got called a misogynist.” Because they don’t give a fuck what you or any of your readers think of them.

hellkell

Minty, don’t you have better ways to spend your Saturday night than come here with your oh-so-manly tough talk? I hope you assholes do avoid women, you all have zero to offer. Not even a pump and dump. I have better ways to spend a short amount of time.

I was trying to read Mark’s comment, but every time I start my eyes start to shut with boredom and I have to switch to another tab.

Argenti Aertheri

Andrew — lol, well, there are the guys who leave 1,000+ word missives, but I think they cycle back into demanding the gov’n get them a girlfriend (if that makes no sense, be glad you haven’t encountered Government Gets Girlfriends yet!). And Argenti’s fine, hope you don’t mind being called just Andrew 🙂

Fade — oh good, I was wondering if I’d just spent too many hours sorting everything from holiday cards to tax returns from the 40s-present to military stuff.

OH! Pecunium, do discharge papers still come in lovely leather folios? I took a break from sorting to smell my grandfather’s, the WWII era old paper has that lovely old paper smell, and the folio has kept them in excellent shape. (Lol, my brother asked if I needed another box to sort, I said “did I not just say that yes, I said I was smelling paper?” “Well I didn’t know if you were done!” …we’re all going a bit loopy, “when logic, and proportion have fallen sloppy dead, and the white knight is talking backwards…”)

Pro-tip, white rabbit is a bit creepy when tripping. That whole “go ask Alice when she’s ten feet tall” is kind of a thing, and I advise against pondering how you can be that tall in a room with 8′ ceilings.

I don’t know if it’s the sleep deprivation or the vodka, but Mark Minter makes me think of Blackadder

I know, totally irrelevant, bit pissed, sorry.

Anyway – La Strega, hope you’ve had a good night.

and – Mark ‘antidistinctlyminty’ Minter.

The exercise didn’t make me sleepy,
The fact that it’s 6am here in the UK didn’t make me sleepy,
And the Vodka just made me silly.

But you, and your rambling, incoherent, and oh so boring bollocks did the trick. Having lost the will to live half way through your strange mind spew, I now feel confident I will sleep deeply.

Maybe we could market you as a soporific?

Also I know some people who refer to wanking as pulling the pud, so Minty’s rant left me wondering if he was urging men to switch teams. Which as a woman would be lovely for me, but I really don’t see any reason why gay men should have to deal with these creeps either.

It makes my “empty” wiki, where I’m the only editor ever to contribute, look good (the people were reeeeally enthusiastic, till the time came to actually do something… then I was suddenly alone, not that I didn’t expect exactly this, but sometimes I don’t like to be right).

Minter thinks his “explanation” of how bonding works is going to be accurate, and relevant?

Even assuming his facts are correct ( I know, but bear with me), the style is, based on all evident examples, going to bury any useful information.
