Men! Worried that eveil feminists will destroy your life and your financial future because, apparently, they have that power and love to destroy men’s lives for fun?
Fear no more, because Reddit’s Men’s Rightsers have your back! Mods of Reddit’s RedPill subreddit have started something called the Feminist Victims Fund, which will enable brave freedom fighters to send what will inevitably be a tiny amount of money to that dude who got fired after Adria Richards complained about a sexist joke he made, even though it wasn’t Richards who fired him and indeed she’s said she hopes he gets hired back!
Make sure you donate now, because Reddit’s MRAs will soon grow bored with this bold initiative and it will be completely forgotten, much like the massive Sink Misandry protest in Washington DC last year which actually didn’t even happen, come to think of it.
Here’s the pitch:
Feminism has caused some serious changes to our culture, to our society, and to our lives. We focus on some that are affected more than others, and we give back.
Our goal is to encourage men to speak out, to be men, to not fear oppression and enjoy their freedom of speech. Unfortunately in today’s climate, being a man has become a financial liability. Say the wrong thing in the wrong place and you can find your entire life ruined. Destroyed.
Feminists have fought for equality, but now they’re out for our rights.
They’re destroying us financially. They’re trying to tear apart our families.
We’re saying that enough is enough. No longer should men fear masculinity. No longer should speaking up risk a man his job, career, or family.
It’s time to rise up against the tyranny. It’s time to tell men it’s ok to speak up. We’re here for you. This is the Feminist Victims Fund.
Did I mention that you can donate using BITCOIN? In case you were worried that this thing wasn’t Reddity enough.
As Buzzfeed notes, one of the “board members” of the new fund is pickup guru and predatory douchebag misogynist Roosh V. On his blog yesterday, Roosh happily celebrated the harassment and vilification of Adria Richards in a post with the lovely title “American Feminist Adria Richards Gets Gang Raped By The Internet.”
Speaking of rape, Roosh is also the author of a booklet titled Bang Iceland, in which he admits that, well, he’s kind of a rapist himself. Buzzfeed quotes this rather revealing passage from the book, in which Roosh recalls a “date” he had in Iceland:
While walking to my place, I realized how drunk she was. In America, having sex with her would have been rape, since she legally couldn’t give her consent. It didn’t help matters that I was relatively sober, but I can’t say I cared or even hesitated. I won’t rationalize my actions, but having sex is what I do.
What a humanitarian.
Actually while there’s plenty of things wrong with execution, as a viable attempt at an alternative currency BitCoins is not that bad. It’s not really inherently insane, at least, and has my support.
So it’s sad proof of concept that fools can use it to support laudable goals like the above. But at least this is a great site I can now link to whenever any argument along the lines of “Hah! But no one can be that crazy, Fibi…” crops up. Oh, oh but they are. And they’re accepting donations in multiple currencies.
Muy triste Fibi.

Also Buttman, you veritable bastion of Butt, I don’t think minority hiring are really a feminism issue. That’d just be common anti-idiocy legislative action. You sure you want to invest this, still?
My male friend bought me lunch today. I wonder if he is entitled to some fake internet money.
@ignotussomnium, ashley: The company stated that there were other factors that contributed to the decision to fire him. The second guy making jokes was not fired.
(To explain: Bitcoins are just… a made up currency, regulated not by a central bank, but by an algorithm networked over many, many computers. Basically they mark down a hard cap on how many bitcoins can exist at any one time, and computers work pretty extensive mathematical tests to mine them. Resulting in a certain amount mined each ten minute increment.
So that means that the value is decided by how many exist at the moment vs how many will exist total (said hard cap) and compared to how many you’re willing to accept in return for other currencies like the dollar or euro or crown.
And why would *anyone* accept my made up electronical bits of information as a currency I could go out and buy lettuce for, I hear you ask? To which the answer will be: “… Dunno. How much lettuce you buying?”
Economics are weird)
It’s nice to see Buttman keeping the old adage about fools and their money alive and well.
Mr C is considering buying me a desk, since he happens to be in a place where they have them on sale right now and mine is busted. Should I repay him in bitcoins or in sex? It’s so hard keeping up with the proper guidelines for feminine gratitude.
Has Roosh admitted to possible rapes committed on US soil as well? I woudn’t be surprised if his rapist tendencies are confined to his vacations to places where he won’t be convicted of them.
@Fibinachi
They’re not crazy, just a bunch of dickwads.
Cassandra: sex followed by bitcoins, duh.
@cassandra
I thought bitcoins were an mra thing. Or am I getting confused? 😛
Can cats have BitCoins? I stopped Bailey from chewing on the couch because I am filled with rage by the idea of male creatures doing what makes them happy.
@Shadow: Yeah, I suppose you’re right. I phrased that badly, since I don’t mean to imply that the reason they do this is because they’re crazy. It’s just.. .vestigal terrible last ditch defensive. They’re just dickwads.
Thank you for the correction.
@ Shadow
I’m going to go ahead and take a guess that Roosh restricts his rapey tendencies to environments in which he’s unlikely to be prosecuted, and that the ability to take advantage of the weak legal protections in some countries is the main reason he bothers to travel at all.
@Fibinachi
No worries 🙂
@Cassandra
Yeah, I figured, considering the level of predator we’re talking about. I just hoped (for a shitty value of hope) that he might have made a confession about something actionable at some point.
@ fibinaci
thanks for the explanation!
Bitcoins are tricky to understand, but they have an advantage of keeping the identities of Bitcoin users fairly private according to Wikipedia. This privacy is also attractive to people who inhabit the “deep web.” More on that on these pages:

(Note: I do not wish to impugn Bitcoin users.)
“Also Buttman, you veritable bastion of Butt, I don’t think minority hiring are really a feminism issue.”
Feminists are a minority in STEM jobs and want companies to hire less qualified females. Females with less qualifications are hired over more qualified men.
People MRAs could raise money for – homeless veterans (mostly men), bullied and ostracised gay youth, manufacturing workers laid off in the recession (again, primarily men).
Who MRAs decide to raise money for – middle class assholes who make obnoxious comments and who knows what else?
Oh yes, a noble movement, the MRM
@nerdypants: thanks for the link!
It really is hard being a man and being the only ones who have to answer for unprofessional behavior. Women are NEVER fired or reprimanded for saying inappropriate things in the workplace. That is strictly a problem that men face alone and they deserve all our support to avoid having to control themselves in professional settings. THIS IS AMERICA AFTER ALL!
Jessay: not even inapprropriate thing, sometimes just speaking while female is enough for a reprimand.
Or a look that says, “oh, how cute, she’s talking.”
Bitcoins are “reddity” because their decentralized nature makes them a hobby horse for obsessive Internet libertarians, and because the ability to use them for anonymous electronic transactions means that they are the currency of choice for people buying and selling child pornography.
Ugh. Why am I not surprised to see that subject come up in a thread with Roosh in it.
“Have these guys ever defined “masculinity”?”
I think their working definition is “whatever asshole thing a man feels like doing on any given day.”
It’s so bizarre how MRAs will go to the hilt to challenge any “men should be like this” statement but will hold hegemonic, sexist contructions of masculinity as completely sacred, untouchable, and innate.
It might even be “whatever asshole thing a white man feels like doing on any given day.” Because we know how keen they are on talking about “thugs” in its specifically US racist sense. Douchebag abuses woman: if he’s a PoC he’s a thug and she should have known better than to have anything to do with him (and you can bet they’re only thinking of white women, ‘cos WoC hardly exist outside their submissive-Asian fantasies); if abusive douchebag is white, then he’s a Good Man who was driven to it by an evil bitch.
