Well, now you’ve gone and done it, you evil feminists: you’ve turned 0bvious_Atheist into a Nazi!
We first met the Men’s Rights subreddit regular the other day, when in a fit of ingenuity he blamed the Newtown school shootings on, er, Title IX. Well, his strange political journey has continued, and on his blog, on Boxing Day, the Canadian MRA officially announced his conversion to neo-Nazism. Literally. Let’s let him explain:
I have grown impatient
I have lost my desire for conventional activism. We live in an era where men like Warren Farrell are run off campus by mobs of Femistasi, men like Keenan Midgley get maligned for trying to start Men’s Centres, JohnTheOther gets harassed in the streets and others like him get assaulted, Mr. Heimbach a white students advocate in the United States, is constantly maligned by the media and the intellectual establishment, and Jared Taylor, a meek and mild Yale graduate, is harassed at every turn by the establishment.
Huh. I have to admit I’m not completely up-to-date on all the examples of anti-white, anti-male oppression he lists here, but I would like to point out that Warren Farrell did not, in fact, get run off the University of Toronto campus. A number of students protested his visit, some of them quite rudely, but the police interceded on his behalf, clearing away protesters so he could go ahead and make his speech.
I also looked up that vague reference to “Mr. Heinbach,” and discovered that Matthew Heimbach is a student at Maryland’s Towson University who wants to start a White Student Union there. As part of his campaign for tolerance on behalf of America’s beleaguered white majority, he recently posed in front of Martin Luther King Jr.’s church in Montgomery holding a Confederate flag.
Gosh, how terribly unfair it is that some people might have criticized him for this.
Mr. Atheist continues:
I’m a young man. I don’t have the patience to go around asking for permission to exercise my inalienable, natural right to freedom of association. As Harold Covington said, Whites feel they need a permission slip from quote “the Jews” unquote to advocate for them. I feel the same thing can be said of Men’s Rights Activism. We feel that we need permission from Feminists, the intellectual establishment, and the state to self-advocate. Our entire movement has become a quest for permission from the left to self-advocate.
I’m pretty sure that not even a single molecule of that is even remotely true. What color is the sky in Imaginary Backwards Land?
We want a Men’s Ministry in the government. We want Men’s organizations on campus. We want White student unions. All of those things are politically toxic to the establishment and out of reach, and furthermore, if you look at what the “Men’s Ministries” in the Northern European welfare states have done you will remain unimpressed, and perhaps even alarmed, at how little they have mitigated the total alienation of young men from the respective societies of those countries.
Of course, the young men who are most alienated from society in the Northern (and Southern) European welfare states today are the immigrants who are so despised by Mr. Atheist and his fellow White “Nationalist” racist assholes. And these young male immigrants aren’t feeling alienated because of a lack of White Student Unions or the unimpressive actions of Men’s Ministries; they’re feeling alienated because of racism and a lack of jobs.
With this in mind we must recognize that productive organizations simply are not going to become a reality. If you doubt me, you can go look at what they did to Dr Warren Farrell when he tried to speak at the University of Toronto. I have absolutely no desire to be screamed at, spit on, expelled, fired, ostracized, and made into a pariah for simply asking to exercise my right to freedom of association.
So the fact that a couple of dozen students protested against a speaker on a college campus, delaying his talk for half an hour or so, means that normal political activity on behalf of your ass-backwards faux “civil rights movement” is impossible? Mr. Atheist, do you have any fucking idea what real civil rights advocates went through in order to get the same basic rights as everyone else, like the right to fucking vote? Do you think that feminists weren’t ever “screamed at, spit on, expelled, fired, ostracized, and made into … pariah(s)?”
What sort of strange entitled bubble do you live in that you think political activism should be painless? Or that your political opponents should simply roll over once you express your opinions?
Congratulations intellectual establishment. After around 14 years of politically correct education at politically correct institutions run by politically correct professors you have alienated me, first as a White, and secondly as a male. I have got absolutely no patience for your goddamn processes, your forms, your organizational quotas and quorums required to get approval from the UVSS. I’m fed up, and I’m going elsewhere else to self-advocate.
If you’re really serious about going “elsewhere else,” might I suggest another planet?
As market Anarchists and Libertarians constantly must remind you crypto-Marxists, if you ban something the buyer will go elsewhere in the market to get it. That’s exactly what I plan to do. Rather than grovelling at the feet of professors, academics, pseudo-intellectual social justice warriors, and Femistasi, I’m just going to go join the Western Front, a quasi-Neo-Nazi, semi-illegal White Nationalist political organization that accepts me for what I am and understands my problems. You have driven a relatively well off, intelligent, middle class, White male, who used to vote NDP, into the arms of the very people you taught me to despise for the totality of my formative years.
Great. I guess the one upside of all this is that Mr. Atheist won’t be calling feminists “feminazis” from now on. Not that “femistasi” is much of an improvement.
Oh, and in case anyone needs visual evidence of how much of a racist fuck 0bvious_Atheist really is — not that there’s much doubt — here’s a link to a cartoon he stuck onto the end of one of his recent YouTube videos. But first, a TRIGGER WARNING for really really racist rape imagery. Link.
(Note: There doesn’t seem to be any information online about a neo-Nazi group called Western Front, at least not in Canada. There was evidently one by that name in Los Angeles at one point. Does this group, like the anti-white-male oppression he talks about, exist only in 0bvious_Atheist’s head? EDITED TO ADD: There is a group called Northwest Front; presumably that’s what he meant.)
Argenti: By stick to the topic I mean that I try (not always effectively) to keep to the point of the post. e.g. not letting John Anderson (my Jo), make it all about how men get raped too, when the issue was women squeezing condoms to get rich on child support.
As to the degree… I just applied to SUNY Empire State. So I may be back to school in March. I have no idea how many of my transfer credits they will accept (somewhere between 140-200 quarter hour credits… but no college math, so I need to get my HS diploma to be considered for enrollment).
Then I hope to make the VA pay for a Masters OT.
Pecunium, I got that about sticking to a topic, but I remember glossary troll! I do not want to find out which of us is more stubborn (it’s a compliment coming from me)
Good luck on SUNY though, my credits are on financial hold, like I never did any of them at all (considering all but the last ~12 are paid for, I question how legal this is) — I can give you a crash course in math if you want, my basic math is a decade+ ago though, the Internet might serve you better there. Happy to answer questions though, which you ought to already know 🙂
VA should pay for it, I know the military paid for my cousin’s history degree (and, I think, the degree of my least favorite co-worker at my tech job, why do tech jobs attract slackers?!)
Good luck!
I have two issues, and I need to hassle with them about it.
1: The New GI Bill. That’s straightforward.
2: Voc Rehab, nominally limited to 2 years.
At the moment I could probably get into a combined OT/Bachelor’s program, but those take three years, and I’d have to find the 20-40 grand for the third year, all by myself.
I’m not so worried about the math, as I am annoyed that more credits than a degree tends to need aren’t enough to make me acceptable as a student; because I don’t have a math class.
Talk to an advisor, you may be able to take a math test and possibly just take a math class there to fulfill the requirement. No harm in asking, and also ask around to find the best advisor you can.
Argenti – “Kitteh — you mentioned it, but didn’t show the aftermath. That is one pissed off cat! At least you and Mr. Kitteh seem to be amused by the whole thing :)”
The aftermath was us winded (combination of Mr K landing flat on his back and both of us laughing so hard,) Q the dog taking off in doggy confusion after Katie belted him across the snout, and her hightailing it for home. Mr K and I decided that was it for skating and went home for hot baths, body oil rubs and (eventually, heheh) drinking mulled wine in front of the fire.
I did a blog post on the day if you fancy a look. Or not. 🙂
And you could just take a math course at a (cheaper) community college, be prepared to either be bored to tears or want to strangle someone though (OMGS peer review with remedial English students, Worst. Course. Ever.)
Voc rehab is 2 years, but couldn’t you use the GINA bill when that ran out?
Argh, remedial English, or admin-with-kids-who-should-have-been-in-remedial-English. Think of doing a certificate in admin with kids who wrote “dough” for “though” because that’s how they pronounce it, and spellcheck wouldn’t know differently, and who were not corrected by any teachers, ever.
Kitteh, my sympathies remain with the cat — challenged into it and knocked over, how undigified! (Dignity, of course, being the foremost concern of cats.)
And think it’s always “it’s”, even if you said like “its hat”; semi-colons must always be wrong; tenses are oh so fucking difficult. Et cetera.
Quite annoying when Latin is only sort of a challenge!
And pecunium’s English puts mine to shame some days, it’d stretch his patience, to say the least. Best part though? I got 650 on the English part of the SAT, I never should’ve had to take an English course on principle.
He has “absolutely no desire to be screamed at, spit on, expelled, fired, ostracized, and made into a pariah…”
…so he’s becoming a Nazi.
Okay then.
Next time the site is upgraded, let’s have one of those comment systems where people can up- and down- vote comments. Often I see comments like this and I just want to click a little happy face to indicate that I LOLed, and Regretsy uses that kind of system as a way to police the community. Melissa, for example, wouldn’t need to be lectured for every naive comment she posted, she’d just get a bunch of downvotes and try again.
No, we have enough issues with it being assumed that the regulars must be right, we don’t need them (us) auto-up voted. Also, I think that sort of system discourages actually commenting, and we like comments (including off topic ones, especially about cats!)
“Huh. I think he didn’t mean that literally, but i believe that he was run off in the sense that the university will not host any more speeches due to having to deal with the protesting crowds.
“I also looked up that vague reference to “Mr. Heinbach,” and discovered that Matthew Heimbach is a student at Maryland’s Towson University who wants to start a White Student Union there. Yeah, because posing with flag really hurts their feelings right?
“I’m pretty sure that not even a single molecule of that is even remotely true. What color is the sky in Imaginary Backwards Land?”
Im sure that’s something you should know already.
“Of course, the young men who are most alienated from society in the Northern (and Southern) European welfare states today are the immigrants who are so despised by Mr. Atheist and his fellow White “Nationalist” racist assholes. LOL, yeah because “racism” isn’t just a meaningless concept which its sole intent is to smear and those immigrants dont become welfare dependents right?
“So the fact that a couple of dozen students protested against a speaker on a college campus, delaying his talk for half an hour or so, means that normal political activity on behalf of your ass-backwards faux “civil rights movement” is impossible?”
You’re being intentionally obtuse and instead of seeking understanding you seek to smear. You know that its not impossible but it IS difficult enough to keep people like him from attending most universities as your intent.
” Mr. Atheist, do you have any fucking idea what real civil rights advocates went through in order to get the same basic rights as everyone else, like the right to fucking vote? Do you think that feminists weren’t ever “screamed at, spit on, expelled, fired, ostracized, and made into … pariah(s)?””
Not much from what i can recall and from what i can see giving those people the right to vote has outright destroyed our society culturally, its only a matter of time when it does economically as well since women care more about their fucking birth control more than the economy and minorities only care about free stuff.
“What sort of strange entitled bubble do you live in that you think political activism should be painless? Or that your political opponents should simply roll over once you express your opinions?””
What sort of strange entitled bubble do YOU live in that you think political activism should be easy for your leftist leaning ideologues and hard for the right? Oh wait i forget you guys own the universities already but you will never admit that because it would make your bias clear.
“Oh, and in case anyone needs visual evidence of how much of a racist fuck 0bvious_Atheist really is — not that there’s much doubt — here’s a link to a cartoon he stuck onto the end of one of his recent YouTube videos. But first, a TRIGGER WARNING for really really racist rape imagery. Link.”
WAH WAH RACIST!!! WAH WAH TRIGGER WARNING!!
Oh Grow up, you overfeminized beta.
Oh and one more thing, looks like you guys are famous!!!
Good job Canuck!!
The issue isn’t taking a math class. I can do that (and at almost 30 years since I survived algebra, I’m not goig to be able to CLEP out of math), it’s that without a college math class I am required to provide my HS diploma, so that I can show myself capable of doing college level work.
It’s a frustration of system, not that I am worried about being able to manage the actual math (no matter how may irrational apprehensions I may have about the subject).
Taking a community college course to avoid that is counter-productive, as it puts off the serious enrollment, and I either burn eligibility for the GI bill, or waste time.
Voc Rehab is full ride. GI Bill is very much a partial ride.
I recently took three quarters of Enlgish. One was awful (comp), two were very good. The one which was basically Argument and Logic (Enlgish, not debate) was great.
But I am going to be getting vet specific counselling, and I have a resource for a skilled advocate to help with the VA, as regards the Voc Rehab. It’s work out.
I meant pay for the community college out of pocket, somewhere cheap but official. I’ve answered your math before, your issue is definitely one of irrational doubt, you’ll do fine at it, but feel free to pick my brain if you want (I’ve done statistics/math tutoring back when I was in school actually, so I really don’t mind)
Re: VA, glad it’s a sensible plan, but still, I wish you luck. I remember balancing school, work, and a relationship…hope you don’t like sleep.
pecinum
Can’t you test into college level math?
Ditto on a big NO to the up or down votes. It’s not a flipping popularity contest, and what’s the point of it? If someone’s said something douchey or just mistaken, a downvote doesn’t tell them anything other than someone didn’t like it. Much better to reply. It’s also a way to learn stuff for other people reading the comments.
Argenti – “Kitteh, my sympathies remain with the cat — challenged into it and knocked over, how undigified! (Dignity, of course, being the foremost concern of cats.)”
Katie will upvote that comment! 😀 😀 😀 I can almost hear her little “Told you so” sniff.
Diogenes: Did you see the part where I said 1: I don’t think so and 2: it would add time I don’t want to spend in delaying my enrollement?
Argenti: I will be scaling back the work (I suspect I am about to decline the pursuit of promotion for just this reason). I get a stipend for going to school; so being a full-time student (which I’ve done with this job before) means an uptick of between 9-12 thousand dollars per annum.
More when the VocRehab kicks in (no out of pocket expenses, and a higher rate of stipend…also I will probably be in a higher paying zip code).
Asked and answered, Diogenes, do try to keep up.
I also say no to upvotes. Look at AVfM, it’s one big circlejerk of agreement with their upvote system. I know our trolls claim this space as the mother of all circlejerks, but AVfM truly is.
“Argenti: I will be scaling back the work (I suspect I am about to decline the pursuit of promotion for just this reason). I get a stipend for going to school; so being a full-time student (which I’ve done with this job before) means an uptick of between 9-12 thousand dollars per annum.”
Lucky, 12~15 credit hours while working 20 hour weeks was fun, good thing I’m an insomniac! (I advise against doing that for 8 semesters in a row, including summers, if you like your sanity)
Argenti: I did 19 credits my last semester, plus internship and job. Definitely not good for sanity! One semester of that pace was more than enough.
Hi, Mark Shwartz! You’re adorable, you little white supremacist, you! Go fuck yourself, okay?
Mark Schwartz: Yeah, because posing with flag really hurts their feelings right?
Yes, it does. And it does more than that too. But I don’t see you complaining that the boys with the twisted knickers about it being pointed out there are no women in the Hobbit are being silly.
So why defend the racist?
Oh yeah… because you are a racist
Not much from what i can recall and from what i can see giving those people the right to vote has outright destroyed our society culturally, its only a matter of time when it does economically as well since women care more about their fucking birth control more than the economy and minorities only care about free stuff

Do you have some proof that controversial speakers will no longer be entertained at that school (or any other)?
I didn’t think so.
Well Markie ain’t the only racist in the MRM.
