FeMRA TyphonBlue: What if the men who seem to run the world … AREN’T REALLY MEN?

How women rule the world.
Women ruling the world?

When confronted with the simple fact that men hold the overwhelming majority of positions of power in the world – in government, business, culture, and pretty much everything else – MRAs like to pretend that the actual gender of those in power makes no difference because, well, the men in power are probably a bunch of manginas doing the dirty work of the women who really run the world. Or something like that.

Indeed, some MRAs have even managed to convince themselves that the very basic historical and sociological fact that men in power, by and large, tend to represent men’s interests more than women’s interests is some sort of locical fallacy – something that they’ve labeled  “The Frontman Fallacy.”

Now A Voice for Men contributor and YouTube videoblogger TyphonBlue has done these guys one better in terms of sheer antifeminist loopiness. In the comments on one of the Warren Farrell protest videos I recently wrote about, she argues that men in power don’t really push male interests because … they probably don’t even think of themselves as men.

Here she is, writing under her other nom-de-net Genderratic:

yttyphonbluebizarre3yttyphonbluebizarre2yttyphonbluebizarre

I don’t even know what to say to this. I mean, WHAT?!

PROTIP: You’re not going to convince anyone you’re a great ally of trans* people if you refer to them as “it.”

Here it is: http://i.imgur.com/rQyxk.jpg

I think it’s a metaphor. Although my tutor had to come over and ask why me and my work partner were laughing so hard at the sheer blatantness of the whole thing.

I still think Clarence is the guy who posted the YouTube rant about skidmarks and how evil it is of women not to be more accepting of them.

Indeed you fools would be hard pressed to find a single law that benefits men at the direct expense of women, but I can find plenty of laws that do the reverse.

Viagra is completely covered by insurance in the US and always has been. Prescription contraception for women isn’t.

I wasn’t aware that insurance policies coverage of Viagra was mandated by law.
Care to point that out or concede?
And by the way, I don’t need viagra – so how this benefit me?

In many U.S. states there are onerous legal restrictions on the ability of people who have uteruses (who are mostly women) to control their bodily integrity. I know of no similar legal restrictions requiring men to donate the service of one of their organs against their will.

Women in the US military are exluded from combat positions — though not in reality from combat itself — limiting their ability to serve and to advance.

Seriously, Clarence isn’t too smart.

Translation: It is not a matter that concerns me personally even though it does concern other cismen, therefore it is not my concern and not relevant to this conversation about things that benefit or disadvantage cismen.

(I know that not only cismen use viagra but the day the MRM cares about non-straight-white-cismen will be the day I voluntarily wear hot pink high heels.)

As soon as you can convince me that David Futrelle is busy pushing my interests, I might concede some of the arguments here.

So you’re holding your agreement that TyphonBlue’s arguments are full of shit hostage to David Futrelle pushing your interests—which, as you’ve just established, it literally your personal interests.

Wow. Sounds like we’ve lost a powerful ally.

Seriously:
Weak sauce. I ask again: where is the law that mandates coverage of Viagra ?
My point was about laws.
And seriously: being allowed to go and take biggest risks in the army so that one man in the army out of several thousand can become a General easier than a woman is a freaking PRIVILEGE? What’s that one man becoming a Colonel or General doing that helps the man who has his legs blown off or the conscript that never even wanted to be in the army in the first place?
Are you people freaking nuts?

Anyway this is one of the funniest threads ever on this blog of a man-hating male. The irony is so rich I just felt I had to comment.

I’m laughing my ass off at the thought of David Futrelle working for the patriarchy.
Oh wait – I thought that was something one automatically does because of male privilege and shit and you don’t even have to know you are doing it because magical fairy unicorn dust.
God, you people are stupid.

Clarence, has Baltimore seceded from the union and instituted a draft? If not, what the fuck are you whining about?

You appear to be unclear on several concepts, there.

@Tulgey

David hasn’t helped Clarence personally save up for a new X-Box, therefore 90% of the men in government are actually trans women. It’s totally logical and not stupid.

So Clarence, you’re just going to completely ignore the part Cloudiah said about bodily integrity? Yes, according to the law in my state, I less control over certain organ in my body because I am a woman. Please, name the law that requires equal lack of control over men’s organs? Are they forced to donate blood? Kidneys? Carry small children on their backs to and from school each day?

Then I’m sure you could educate me.
Please. I need more laughs. Pretty please. With cheese. I want the laughs.

Nepenthe: Is the male only draft still law in the USA or is it not?
It is? Then shut the fuck up.
By the way, I suggest you look into “stop loss”. It’s basically a draft without being called one and guess which sex is most affected by it?

cloudiah

To Clarence, opportunities for advancement for men and only men who VOLUNTEER to serve in combat roles — as do all US soldiers — are not a privilege. Meanwhile, women who are already fighting in actual combat and who simply want that recognized so that they can also advance are being denied that opportunity, but that isn’t a problem for Clarence, who apparently thinks the draft is still in effect.

Clarence is like a train wreck of stupidity.

*is literally

So Clarence, how did you get this

I wasn’t aware that male politicians get some subliminal command to benefit men at the expense of women.

from this

men in power, by and large, tend to represent men’s interests more than women’s interests

Eh?

Indeed you fools would be hard pressed to find a single law that benefits men at the direct expense of women, but I can find plenty of laws that do the reverse.
