FeMRA TyphonBlue: What if the men who seem to run the world … AREN’T REALLY MEN?

How women rule the world.
Women ruling the world?

When confronted with the simple fact that men hold the overwhelming majority of positions of power in the world – in government, business, culture, and pretty much everything else – MRAs like to pretend that the actual gender of those in power makes no difference because, well, the men in power are probably a bunch of manginas doing the dirty work of the women who really run the world. Or something like that.

Indeed, some MRAs have even managed to convince themselves that the very basic historical and sociological fact that men in power, by and large, tend to represent men’s interests more than women’s interests is some sort of locical fallacy – something that they’ve labeled  “The Frontman Fallacy.”

Now A Voice for Men contributor and YouTube videoblogger TyphonBlue has done these guys one better in terms of sheer antifeminist loopiness. In the comments on one of the Warren Farrell protest videos I recently wrote about, she argues that men in power don’t really push male interests because … they probably don’t even think of themselves as men.

Here she is, writing under her other nom-de-net Genderratic:

yttyphonbluebizarre3yttyphonbluebizarre2yttyphonbluebizarre

I don’t even know what to say to this. I mean, WHAT?!

PROTIP: You’re not going to convince anyone you’re a great ally of trans* people if you refer to them as “it.”

I’m still trying to figure out why a Canadian FeMRA, living in a country with a single-payer system, is fighting for a single-payer system.

Way to be disingenuous about the joke I made about your tendancy to be disingenuous.

Honestly, I’ve hit the watching mindless eye candy-full music videos stage of the evening, since my brain can’t wrap itself around how someone can remind me of something that I didn’t know, and I don’t have any absinthe.

Valerie – just for your information? Feel free to continue speaking about your goals and points and intentions. That’s cool and all.

I just need to tell you that your ridiculous attempts at alternatively insulting, negging, snarking or otherwise trying to de-legitimatize people’s opinions by over-reach and disingenious stupidity is not going to make anyone magically bow to your superior superior-ness. Maybe it works in other circles?

But it’s pretty obvious that you’re an asshole, an abusive domineering idiot and just plain not very nice. And no one here is falling for it. Cut it out.

It was impressively meta, though. I really liked that aspect!

See? That’s what I mean, for instance. It’s obvious to me what I meant, it’s obvious to you what I meant, it’s grammatically trivial to read what I meant, everyone else can read what I meant, and the only way to jump to the conclusion that you just did to bash me over the head is to cut out the entire middle section and then ignore the lack of coherency.

That way, you can twist my words and the assumption that I would jump to trying to appease you into moving to a more superior position, and also declare yourself an authority.

Page 77 of Why Does He Do That: The Mindset of Abusers.

It’s sort of predictable.

Now instead you could have used it as a springboard for a dialogue about your goals and opinons. But you didn’t, because the point of the game to you is to be aggrieved and insulted so you can feel angry so you can be righteous.

Oh, and this. It’s been pointed out to you three times now. Once on this very page of these comments. Even momentarily reading another comment no more than 11 or so above this one would allow you to easily ingest and responds to the information at hand, but instead you chose to be insulted and use it as a way to infer that we are laying unfair pressure on you. This should make us feel bad and attempt to appease you because we are clearly being so very mean.

That’s page 62, by the way.

Is control + f’ing “Catherine” really that hard? No it’s not.

@valerie, two commenters have explained to you the issue, including Catherine herself. I already said thebewilderness had explained.

Fucking go back up and read.

And then apologise.

Valerie,
Why do you need a link to something to apologize for misusing the word ‘genocide’ and offending someone who has been effected by genocide?

Puddleglum

Guys, I think I got it!

Male privilege doesn’t really exist. Only cis privilege does. And cis men get the shit end of that deal (probably because butts). Therefore we’re all wasting our time here, mocking misogyny when really, we should be… mocking cis women.

O.o

How do these people even find us? Like, shouldn’t they be out harassing people on tumblr?

Or you can just scroll up a bit (here’s a link for that one too https://www.wehuntedthemammoth.com/2012/12/09/femra-typhonblue-maybe-the-men-who-seem-to-run-the-world-arent-really-men/comment-page-7/#comment-648725) and read my, reposted, request.

You could also not bother and just go step on all the Legos.
Really.
Going away and steeping on Lego would be much better.

Puddleglum – one of my favorite ways to drink absinthe is in an Earthquake. Allegedly invented by Toulouse Lautrec, it is one shot of absinthe and one of cognac, shaken together. Surprisingly smooth, but do not plan on driving or operating heavy machinery afterwards.

I invented the Supergreen – shot of absinthe, shot of green Chartreuse, squeeze of lime.

Wow… why does he do that… a book you just made up to refer to me has male pronouns. It’s like you’re trying to find implicitly transmisogynistic language.

“Now instead you could have used it as a springboard for a dialogue about your goals and opinons. But you didn’t, because the point of the game to you is to be aggrieved and insulted so you can feel angry so you can be righteous.”

I don’t feel particularly aggrieved and insulted. That would require me taking your self-serving prattle seriously. I just find it important to remind you what hypocrites you are.

“Is control + f’ing “Catherine” really that hard? No it’s not.”

It is when all the results don’t show up on the same page, also, is finding the post you wrote and pasting the link to it really that hard? Comparably. I am being ridiculed regularly, to the point where anything I have to say is flooded-out, which is the point. Do you really expect me to scroll through every tiresome self-serving post in addition to encountering transmisogynistic, ablist, masculosexist, and other oppressive language with every post?

Then honestly, fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

When you said Supergreen I was imagining some kind of horrible combination of absinthe and wheatgrass. Relieved now.

Valerie is like how a reactionary would write a straw-SJW.

Thinks that the lower you are on the kyriarchy, the more right you are? Check
Incoherent? Check.
Uses the term “cis” to devalue peoples contribution? Check

And to top it all off, she attacks people for making her do research–when what people wanted her to see was right there on the page!

@Robert, my hat is totes off to you then, cuz if I had not cut this stuff with twice the water recommended, I’d already be on the floor.

Also, must now try chartreuse. I’ve always wanted to, just never got around to it.

@weirwoodtreehugger

I’m sorry, is denying trans women medicine in the hopes they’ll die off not an act of genocide now?

What about rewriting Irish farming law so they’re unable to protect themselves from famine?

Trying to force my Polish great grandfather not to learn Polish?

Riiiiight, those don’t count because a language or a people were exterminated but you don’t like them very much.
