“Wherever i turn there is a pair of titties mocking me, looking at me with it’s poking eyes,” and other actual PUA.txts

Old School PUA.txt

There’s a new blog out there that I think a lot of you will appreciate. I would say “enjoy,” but your enjoyment of it will no doubt alternate with despair over the future of the human race. Which makes it sort of like this blog!

Anyway, the blog is called PUA.txt, and, as the name suggests, it features horrible quotes taken from forums and other websites where would-be pickup artists like to congregate.

My favorite quote, of all those featured there, is probably this exceedingly whiny one from The Venusian Arts forum, in which a PUA by the name of Rick Tiero defends another commenter who refers to women as sluts. While other PUAs there are annoyed by the slut basher – because calling women “sluts” makes them defensive and less likely to want to have sex with PUAs — Rick has a different take. Addressing himself to one of the forum’s few female members, he writes:

Don’t try to judge him, you don’t know what the fuck he’s been through. Stuff like that can come from fucked up parents or even kindergardens that forcefeed small boys with religion and evil feminist propaganda, totaly destroying someones sexlife in the later years.

Of all the guys in here, very few are here by choice. You feminists have created spank for your own ass by compromising genderoles for ages now, don’t bitch about it. You women ruined our fun first by being a somewhat moral police yourselves! It is called bad karma.

No man wants to do whats wrong with women, they have been taught wrong by a society in genderless chaos created by the feminist movement, a movement so selfish and evil that I like to compare it to the new age nazis. In this society women are expected to not show body because a man is supposed to like her for her personality, like a woman likes a man.

It is doomed to fail, because people are not built that way. I bet OP has seen alot of porn and wouldn’t mind fucking all of the women in that room, even the fattie, bacause it’s nice for a change. Deep inside of him there is a good PUA just waiting to surface anytime soon.

And you women should really be more understanding to prude men! Put your self in my shoes! I can search for vegetables on the internet and find “Gorgeous teen playing with a cuecumber” And for me being a guy, that is something I’d like to watch!

Man! I can’t even go to the store and buy myself some bread without walking by the magazines with naked women all over it. It’s like wherever i turn there is a pair of titties mocking me, looking at me with it’s poking eyes. In the local park they have made this figure of a naked woman, but it’s made of stone. You women don’t have to go through any of that.

Yep, that’s right, it’s that old argument: Sexy women oppress men with their sexiness!

The most horrifying comment I’ve found on PUA.txt so far is probably this one from RooshV’s forum about the pros and cons of having sex with disabled women:

Yeah, I’m not even going to touch that one.

There’s also a PUA.txt twitter account, which features still more horrible quotes. (I only wish it provided links to the sources of the quotes like the blog does.) Here are some of its greatest hits so far.

PS: Do any of you ladies know where the nearest bank is? I need to drop off some gold.

What if the college girl in the library is attractive but not busty?

DOES NOT COMPUTE

Actually, I think the sort of beauty standards these guys rank women on prefer women that have breasts in a quantum state of being several sizes at once. I should check that Roissy sexual-market-score thing but don’t want to visit that awful site.

IIRC there’s a very specific range in which breasts are supposed to be, and either bigger or smaller is unacceptable.

RE: Pear_tree

Yeah, tumblr is… not user friendly at all. The navigation is terrible, it gives me a headache.

Whether or not microblogging could be useful, Tumblr is not a useful manifestation. It’s been taken over by fetid dickheads.

Alright, so the relevant section is:

4. Your breast size is:

Bee stings up to A cup: -1 point
B cup: 0 points
C cup: +1 point
D cup, naturally firm: +2 points
DD cup, firm: +1 point
E cup and up: 0 points

5. Your breasts look firm and pert when you wear:

A bra: 0 points
An underwire push-up bra: -1 point
Nothing: +1 point

For one thing, those are bra sizes, not breast sizes. It’s very easy to sound creepy if you use “breast size”, particularly if you’re a dude. Also, cup size? Not an indicator of much. There’s band sizes as well, hotshot. I’ve learned this just by being around women who talk about bras

Also, D- and DD-cup breasts which aren’t naturally firm don’t seem to exist.

RE: aworldanonymous

Awesome! Will definitely have to see it.

RE: cloudiah

Well, sorta. It is my sole source of income, but I AM still living in a closet, unable to afford rent. But disability paperwork is in the machine, and one day, things will improve.

Until then, I take my meds and listen to a lot of Utah Phillips and old Wobbly songs.

A job as well as a birthday and anniversary?

Extra congratulations!

And cake! I’m totally up for cake!

Cassandra – yeah, pigeonholing is the feeling I’m getting with a lot of this. I’ve trawled (not trolled!) around AVEN too, and while it’s interesting I’m not really feeling like the various asexuality terms describe me too well. Maybe I should introduce the term Extreme Misogyny there. 😉

Or it could be just that “human sexuality has lots’n’lotsa variations and all that matters is that you don’t harm others” could say what’s needed.

It always amuses me when dudes think that, say, a 28DD and a 38DD are the same size in terms of overall volume and how big the boobs in question would look to an observer.

I’m sorry if someone asked this already, but when was that ad from the picture from? Also, what kind of magazine was it from? Finally, can we hear a recording of what the tape said? I want to see how much or how little PUA has changed. How terrible were they back then?

The “naturally” firm is a dog whistle for youth and not having had children or breastfed.

@lbt If you want more labor-themed songs, might I recommend Hazel Dickens? I love her so much, but I am partial to bluegrass.

RE: CassandraSays

I know, right? Before they got the axe, I THINK I was a 30D. (Possibly a 30DD.) Man, did that suck.

Between that, being blond, and the really bizarre thing about our sweat smelling like burnt sugar until we went on hormones, I can only decide that Mother Nature intended me to be a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. (Though I do miss the sugar sweat thing, though. I LIKED that.)

Oh man, that is BEAUTIFUL. Me and hubby are Southerners (though different area), and he’s a Southern Baptist, so massive nostalgia trip for him. Thanks so much for the heads up!

I know you’re all dying to know this, so my impression of Tumblr is that a lot of the problematic stuff is from people in their teens and early 20s who have digitally lived on Facebook all their lives. Many of them do not seem to grasp that their Facebook feeds were protected little spheres even if they had everything unlocked, because only people who wanted to be reading them were doing so.

Then they get to Tumblr and say the kind of garbage stuff they’ve always spouted unchallenged before, but now “the reblog never forgets” (unless Tumblr support deletes them for threatening a young white girl – SERIOUS racial problems with Tumblr support) and suddenly they’re now getting people who, unlike their Facebook friends, have no vested interest in protecting them or agreeing with them. Many are older, many are openly hostile, and there’s a lot of flailing and also flouncing as they discover the reality of the internet.

Not all Tumblr is like this, obviously. I’m on there and I’ve been using online social spaces since… 1997? At least. It really depends on what you read. There are terrible social justice blogs and awesome ones, silly blogs (“Star Trek Points At Things”!) and art blogs and photo blogs and fan blogs and what all. It’s almost like the entire rest of the internet! Where you have to find the stuff you like and realize a lot of it isn’t! *gasp*

I’m also on Tumblr, showing off my elite art skills, y’all. I haven’t even been trolled yet! 😀

(DeviantArt, tumblr, and my own website which won’t let me upload files anymore. I gotta join sites with better ways of uploading comics. *sigh*)

*sigh* That should say “Many of the critics are older…. flouncing as the younger people discover the reality of the internet”

I need a nap, clearly.

What’s the difference between “firm” and “naturally firm?”

(I tried to do Roissy’s SMV test once, got to -14 and gave up. How I ever got married is beyond me.)

Supernaturally firm sounds more exciting to me, to be honest.
