Today, a rather alarming, but also quite revealing, little screed by Darryl X, a regular commenter over on A Voice for Men.
It’s from the discussion of the AVFM post by Aimee McGee that got the fellas at MGTOWforums so worked up the other day. But Darryl has a somewhat different take than the fiercely woman-hating MGTOWers.
He takes aim not at women as a whole, but at certain vaguely specified “monsters,” by which he apparently means anyone who stands in the way of angry dudes getting their way, particularly feminists. The only examples he gives are women, but it’s pretty clear he hates feminist men with equal fervor.
In what follows, I have cut out a few sections that addressed McGee personally so as to make Darryl’s “argument” a little more streamlined and clear.
Meet the enemy, according to Darryl:
What we’re dealing with is not human. These things, these monsters, I’ve studied them inside and out for decades.
They must be disposed of without mercy and with extreme prejudice. One is enough to take down a nation if not the world.
Darryl claims not to be advocating violence. But this sort of dehumanization of one’s enemy is one of the oldest and nastiest tricks in the book, used by those trying to excuse or justify or simply smooth the way for violence by tamping down any feelings of moral queasiness those asked to commit violence against other human beings might feel.
The fitch bases and the Mary Kelletts and the Lori Jacksons and all the others are here for one reason: destroy men and children and civilization.
“Fitch base” is a play on “bitch face,” and is the nickname that McGee and her husband have come up with for his supposedly vengeful ex. Mary Kellett and Lori Jackson are, respectively, a prosecutor and a judge that have run afoul of the AVFM crowd. Naturally, in the melodramatic and grandiose world view of the AVFMenners, opposition to the Men’s Rights movement is equated with destroying civilization itself.
I am here for one purpose: stop them. It’s them or us. When I encounter one, my palms itch, my skin crawls and my gums bleed spontaneously.
Might want to see a doctor about that.
Then I proceed to completely anihilate it. Sometimes the process takes more than a decade. (Evil is very resilient and persistent.)
Again, Darryl X claims that he’s not talking about violence here. But whatever he envisions doing to these “monsters” is not pretty.
There’s nothing hateful about destroying that which threatens the survival of yourself and others upon whom you depend.
This is a war. These things want more than anyone else and they don’t care how they get it, who they destroy. They are addicted to power and control and they will do anything to satisfy that addiction.
This is, I think, a good example of what is called, in psychological circles, projection.
These things don’t just want more than everyone else but they want to deny men and children what they need.
“These things?” Still going strong with the dehumanization.
These things cannot be eqated to children. Children grow up. They learn. They aren’t particularly dangerous. But these are creatures with minds arrested at three years of age and with the weapons of adults.
If the opponents of the Men’s Rights movement are overgrown three year olds, then the MRAs have yet to emerge from the terrible twos.
I do not pity them. I and others do not have that luxury. They want you to pity them. They manipulate with the public spectacle of their chronic victimhood.
Projection again. There are few people in the world more eager to slip into the victim role than MRAs, or more willing to distort facts in an attempt to convince the world (or, at least, themselves) that men are the most oppressed creatures on planet earth.
I often think that in order for someone to be a member of the MRM, he should be impoverished enough and unable to afford the luxury of sympathy for the devil.
Or rather, unable to feel sympathy, or empathy, for anyone but themselves and their erstwhile allies.
Again, Darryl claims that he’s not advocating violence here. And that may be true. But he is certainly preaching hate.

A few more examples of turn-of-the-twentieth century posters designed to dehumanize the suffragettes; these pictures were too good — i.e., too awful — not to share.
Violvence? I need to have the screen closer when I’m typing! 😛
Yep, that’s we feminists, the ideological Typhoid Marys of the modern world ….
@pecunium: I think you’re right. “Eliminationist” and “genocidal” really aren’t a stretch here. It’s so weird … I know and love lots of men and NONE of them, not even casual acquaintances, are anywhere near this type of thinking. I’m gobsmacked when I read this stuff. This Darryl X and the like are really outside of normal.
Makes you wonder both what sort of fantasy world these croutons live in – they think of themselves as some sort of wealthy 19th century paterfamilias with a side order of working class hero – and just what it is about women’s equality that is soooooo terrible. Presumably it all goes back to their same-old same-old obsession with not being able to fuck every woman (or girl) they want whenever the fancy takes them. Except that was never the case. Hell, even womanisers with the massive social and political power of kings (Charles II for instance) didn’t automatically get to screw whoever they wanted. So how did these jackasses get their ideas? What sort of video game world do they live in, to have these notions?
/baffled rhetorical rant
I think in the “having sex with every woman they want” bit, the key is not so much the “having sex” but the “woman they want”. It’s not that they particularly want to have sex with any woman, it’s that no woman should be able to refuse them, because they’re so self-centered and entitled.
Absolutely, Myoo. After all women who aren’t Hot Under 25 Babes Who Are Virgins But Who Know How To Do Porn Stuff don’t exist, or aren’t allowed to, or something, in MRA world. A woman’s right to life is dependent on whether an MRA wants to fuck her.
@Gelar
I keep getting similar notes from some group called the Dark Brotherhood.
Yeah…I’m with everyone else, here. There’s no way that “What we’re dealing with is not human. These things, these monsters […] must be disposed of without mercy and with extreme prejudice” entails anything but violence.
I started reading the “Comfort Girls of Conshelf 6” ebook on the Artists Against Misandry site. It features the brave MRAs fighting back against the terrible genocidal feminists and saving humanity. In fact, the main character is a woman being punished for having tried to destroy all men through genetic plague or something, that bit’s not clear. There’s a lot of not-clear bits and I’m not going to read the whole thing. But I read more than enough of it to think many of these guys truly believe this is coming, and only their activism can save humanity from this inevitable genocide, because the book isn’t just your average nonconsensual-sex-slave-turns-willing fantasy: it features actual MRA jargon like ‘mangina’, ‘white knight’, etc, they keep talking about the essence of femininity, there are bits that feel like they were lifted wholesale from AVFM posts, and every single man in this underwater station lost their house and kids in a divorce.
I wonder too how these guys function in the “Real World.” Do they have jobs? Do they go out in public? How can they stand interacting with female cashiers at the supermarket, for example? Do they pass as normal, or do they look and act as creepy as they are?
There is something about this online “movement” that is like a hothouse, and this rage and distorted thinking thrives in an atmosphere where no word of dissent or alternate viewpoint is permitted. Very unhealthy. But I think that about my retired friends who spend all day watching Fox too.
Meh, I don’t think it’s about the sex at all. It’s the lack of ownership that has their boxers in a knot. In their worldview we are not people, women are merely domesticated animals that men have been magnanimous enough to allow to live indoors. They see us as rabid pets that have turned on their ‘loving’ owners.
Oh, so you’ve met Meller.
@aworldanonymous
“I keep getting similar notes from some group called the Dark Brotherhood.”
Weren’t they the evil elves in Raymond Feist’s Magician series? :O
It’s very similar to anti-Semitic rhetoric too. That strange combination of inferiority/super powers.
@misanthropicmuse – I totally agree they think they own us, or should, but I think the sexual rage is a huge part of it. Their obsession with women’s bodies and women’s temerity in denying them sex, or in daring to complain about rape, is a huge feature of the MRM (or, correctly, what I see of it here, since there’s no way I’m going to venture onto their sites).
So, they’ve captured someone who was plotting to commit the worst crime against humanity ever, and instead of, say, executing her, they keep her alive to basically constantly torture her. Yeah, these “Artists Against Misandry” aren’t exactly doing their cause any favors.
Oh, not just punish her, but rape her. Jesus fucking christ, so this is the end result of their victimization fantasies, huh? Twisted bastards.
@kim
That seems to be a constant in bigotry and it always baffled me. The othered group is seen as both inferior (lazy, incompetent, overly emotional, genetically “impure”, whatever), while at the same time believing they control the world, e.g.:
– Black people are stupid and lazy and they’ve managed to change society so that they live in the lap of luxury thanks to all the handouts they get because they’re black;
– Mexicans are lazy and they’re stealing all of America’s jobs because they work as hard for less money;
-Jewish people are inferior and a blight on the gene pool and they control all of the world’s banks and media;
– Women are stupid, overly emotional and lazy and they control the whole legal/governmental apparatus of society.
The people saying these things seem completely unaware that this either shows these groups to be incredibly intelligent or it shows their own group (usually white guys) to be completely incompetent.
Yeah, ownership and sex-on-demand play into it, but I think another component in their hate is the idea that women will just decide one day, collectively, that they don’t need them anymore.
That’s why they push the bio-myth stuff, like women’s fertility is brief, it’s natural for young women to like older men, and whatever. If they manage to catch a women when she’s young, maybe she’ll never learn the truth: she doesn’t have to be a mother, she doesn’t have to be a wife. They think woman are scared about artifical wombs (haha), because they like the idea of women fearing they will become obsolete (because that’s their biggest fear). And they’re trying to convince themselves they are superior – because in reality, they’re intensely insecure about themselves. And that’s when the projection comes storming in.
When they say we can’t do certain jobs, they’re actually saying, “We’re afraid they’ll perform better than us and start to squeeze us out.” And/Or “If we don’t make more money than them…what’s their incentive for staying with us?”
The bitter divorcee guys? I think they just start out as jaded then get into the above horseshit because their rage needs a scapegoat.
And the irony is that by being hateful shits, these blokes are fast-tracking themselves to the very obsolescence they fear.
And in other breaking news, I just found a tabby fur in my coffee cup at work.
One can be so lucky.
@aworldanonymous: Yeah, both they and the Thalmor hit squads are apparently scripted, random encounters. You don’t even have to breathe wrong for them to come after you.
Well sure. If given the choice, would you rather be alone or hook up with someone who thought that way? Thankfully, they’re wrong about all men being like them.
@Myoo
Very good points.
I think sometimes though bigotry is of the “they are terrible, look at all the nice things we give them that they don’t deserve, that they don’t even make the most of” kind. That seems to be how it is a lot of the time when it’s directed at Aboriginal Australians anyway. But that also seems to be a more dismissive type of bigotry rather than this kind of pro-active vitriol.
IIRC, Darryl X was of the specific “women enslave men and then steal their children” bent of delusion. I remember being confused about how all women had stolen his children, rather than just the mothers of those children, or whether he just had millions and millions of children with different women or… yeah.
