I will give you that mocking and ridiculing are pretty much the same thing. There’s no “glorifying” mission statement about anyone though. Also there’ve been a fair number of posts ridiculing the female MRAs, so I’m not sure how anyone who has moderate long term memory can claim this site glorifies women unconditionally.

A doll with morning and evening heights wouldn’t be too hard – I’d just have to figure in for some folding/accordion action. Of course, that would leave the stuffing badly distributed, so the taller doll would probably crumple in the middle and collapse to one side. Which just might add to the authenticity, since we could call it putting the doll in “meltdown mode.”

Dude… you don’t criticise a woman. You don’t even critcise women. You attack them. You lie about them. You say they should be “escalated” against; made to fear men. You said they ought to be enslaved.

Fitzy, idea — make a doll top half and a doll bottom half, both fully stuffed. The middle section is a spring with a knit cover, and on either side is a loop and button. To shorten the doll, you compress the string and fasten both loops to the buttons to hold the doll together. To lengthen, release the loops and the doll will expand. 😀
What about a Russian doll style sorta thing? The shorter doll would be stuffed, and the taller doll would be like a cover that slips over the top.

Hey, I’m reading that book right now! As someone who grew up with particular revulsion for homework, it’s been a treat so far.
@Polliwog: I totally think we have the same thing going on here in Sweden, and that your explanation is spot-on. And I should add that this could also explain why men tend to dominate when you reach really high academic positions (at least it could be part of the explanation). The higher you get, the more you need self-confidence, not just the ability to work hard. This might also be one reason why philosophy is much more male-dominated than the other humanities. I think philosophy might require a bit more confidence and a belief that you’re great and coming up with great ideas than, say, history.
Ferdinand Bauer isn’t going to appreciate funcuzs dismissal of botanical illustration as an evil of feminism or a girl only behavior….
