Sorry to post so late today, but I’ve been super busy helping to coordinate the Man Boobz Street Team Flying Squad in its latest postering blitz. Here are some shots of the team at work in Cleveland, Ohio and Humpy Creek, Alaska.
And here’s the Man Boobz Misandrymobile we use to transport Street Team members to and from their targets. Don’t worry! As you can see, it’s driven by a man. (You know what they say about women drivers.)
Keep up the good work, gals!
NOTE: The Man Boobz Street Team Flying Squad is imaginary.
@leftwingfox: WWI airplanes are TEH AWESOME, except that the open cockpit and proximity to the engines means that the crew was freezing and deafened. I’d like to fly one, but I’d be glad when it was over.
Plus I think trying to land in a crate like that would be pants-messingly terrifying.
aw, talk of old timey airplanes and the hardships that accompany them, and their awesomeness despite said hardships reminds me of this story:

Speaking of horrific proposals. A guy in Russia staged his own death, and arranged to have his girlfriend show up at the scene (car wreck) so that he could show her how “empty and worthless” her life would be without him. Then “came back to life” and proposed. Asshole
On the subject of posters. Last January I saw an MRA sort of poster, all about how evil family court judges (with one listed by name) were abusing their powers in NYC. It had a website named (some overblown .org thing, somewhere I still have the poster). Last I checked (in June) it was still under construction.
That’s some effective activism.
Here’s a quiz on basic electoral issues.
Why do you suppose women consistently scored lower than men?
I dunno douche. I got all 11 correct.
Omitted facts:
1) He’s quite wealthy
2) She said yes
Yup, douche, men routinely get away with being manipulative, abusive assholes (forcing the love of your life to watch you “die” is supremely fucked up), because many people refuse to call them out on it, including women!
I mis-read the 250,000 to mean decreasing taxes, so I missed that one.
Gah.
Hey, where does it say women consistently scored lower than men? I can’t find that factoid in the article, AIT.
That’s because you’re special.
don’t know, but the explanation is almost certainly more complex than your lazy reasoning is capable of accounting for.
i know, i know, thinking is a lot harder than bleating about how women are stupid whores, but you gotta do it if you wanna be taken seriously.
Hey, AIT. Still quoting Roissy as your authoritative source on everything?
Complete the quiz and examine the results.
I got 10 of 11 right, and i’m not even American. What do I win? 😀
Bro, if you’re going to use the questionable results of a single poll to argue that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote by virtue of their alleged lower political awareness, you have already demonstrated yourself to be too fucking stupid to be qualified to vote by your own terrible criteria.
And if you AREN’T going to argue that, well, then, I guess you’re just needlessly derailing without bringing up any substantive points… which, now I think of it, is kind of your MO, eh?
Ah, you have to click ‘break down by demographics,’ that tiny link on the left, as it’s not in the article.
Thanks for the very informative response, AIT!
WAAAAAAAAH MEN SCORE BETTER THAN WOMEN ON AN EXTREMELY SHORT, EXTREMELY SUPERFICIAL QUIZ ABOUT TWO DUDES. THIS IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING I NEED TO MAKE A BIG FUCKING DEAL ABOUT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF MY OWN. WAAAAAHHHH
Hamster Rule #54: when a logical conclusion is unpleasant, Occam’s Razor = “lazy reasoning.”
Okay, two observations.
One, on several of the questions the right answer isn’t totally right. Obama is for the DREAM act! Except he’s also pushed harsh deportation policy previously, in a way that contradicts that.
Obama is for gay marriage! Except for where he explicitly wasn’t very recently.
And then the gender gap is really driven by the gap in not knowing who the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is. Or that the Republicans don’t have a majority in the Senate. (which it sure feels like, some days)
So, yeah, there’s a lot in there that might trip up an actually-informed person, and a strange gap about John Roberts and Harry Reid.
I’m amazed at the 54% of both men and women who don’t know which candidate supports blocking most abortions.
Shocked how few know what a Super PAC is.
But, hey, details.
TL;DR version: Sharculese is right, there’s some complexities to unpack here.
Forgive me for overestimating your capabilities. Won’t happen again.
Hey, AIT, are you calling women dumb?
If so, how do you explain IQ scores?
http://www.forbes.com/sites/alicegwalton/2012/07/16/women-surpass-men-in-iq-but-are-other-factors-more-important/
Aww, did I hurt your feelings by calling your reply informative?
Because it actually was, it told me right where to find them. I wasn’t being sarcastic, I was being surprised.
lol you dont actually understand what occam’s razor is. are there any other subjects youd like to demonstrate your ability to be a dumb lil whinelord about?
Well, on Health Matters, he thinks Heartiste is an authoritative source.
He’s just full of masterful tidbits of knowledge.
fwiw what i meant was that there seems like a lot of obvious and not-so-obvious social factors that would easily explain differing levels of engagement in the political process and that’s almost certainly a better fit than ‘girls have cooties’
but that would involve the dude who’s really pissed off that a blog made fun of his date rape idol knowing things, which is not a thing anyone should expect
@An Inconvenient Truth
Your omitted facts are irrelevant to the fact that the guy proposing was a total asshole.
As for the political issues quiz, I got 10 correct, which is better than the average men’s score of 7.3. My mistake was guessing that Rehnquist was the chief justice, my bad. I have no idea why women on average had slightly lower scores than men. All that says to me is that women need to reach out to other women and get them more involved in politics.
