If MRA is a profession, Tom has figured out a way to make it generate negative income.

@ kirbywarp It is a profession! It just pays a sum of negative 37 000 pounds pa.

You can see why gold diggers wouldn’t be attracted to such a profession. Not when they’re busy prospecting, or staking claims, or doing weird little jigs while yelling “it’s gold! Gooold! He he he!”

@Sir Bodsworth Rugglesby III:

If MRA is a profession, then I’m a professional feminist by making snarky comments on a blog. It’s much more lucrative, paying a grand total of 0 dollars. 😉 MRAs should try being feminists, it pays a lot better.

I dunno. A couple of old girlfriends have looked me up, found the whole men’s rights activism thing and got back in contact, generally happy for me. Maybe more than two have looked me up, found out I’m an MRA and screamed “No! Not equality!” as they buy themselves the first £7.50 polyester Niqab they can lay their hands on before deporting themselves to the Arabian peninsula for a happier life.

Tom is apparently so steeped in his own bullshit that he thinks feminists think being a woman in Saudi Arabia is a good deal.

Part of my documentary on gold-digging and humour involves rating a list of male job descriptions from most desirable to least desirable as a mate to women. I am going to include men’s rights activist on the list, to see where it comes.

yeah, much like your last video, this is never actually going to happen

Tom Martin:

“Necessary” was said positively (if pragmatically and hypergamously) by older women.

“Crazy” or “unpredictable” was said by men of women more in a genuinely mystified way (not maliciously).

Confirmation Bias.

Tom thinks that MRA is a profession.

yeah, it pays negative 37 thousand pounds a year

That does it. I’m convinced that Tom is our very own Ray Comfort. A complete clown who insists on doing stupid on-the-street interviews to “prove” his position (while labeling random college students as “experts”), makes absurdly false arguments for his position, is completely shameless in getting attention and is willing to make a joke of himself to obtain it, and has exactly zero credibility even amongst those who sort of agree with him.

That’s kinda awesome in its own way. I’m gonna have to wait for “The Feminist’s Worst Nightmare.”

Arguing with kirbywarp? That boy prostrates himself at the goddess shrine he’s made out of tampax boxes. He’s an excellent manservant.

You guys should invite Steele to your bro party.

I think Tom’s point was when society is “equal” women would rather live in Saudi Arabia than the UK/USA.

I want to date a wizard then he can turn me into otter. I mean I’d rather be a witch but since we aren’t allowed to choose our own profession only those of our partner I’m going wizard. But seriously who has ideal professions for their partner. I mean being wary of DJs etc cos they have a reputation for cheating makes a minuscule amount of sense. But seriously profession of partner isn’t something I think about.

Also after an equally scientific survey (although admitidly with a too small sample group) I believe Chris Morris determined that the letter of the law was “y”

That’s right Sharculese, it pays negative £37,000 a year, so it’s not for everyone.

Can we lock Tom and Joe in a room and let them fight it out? Then we’d only have one lying troll claiming to know shit about research he’s never actually done to deal with.

OT, but MGTOW got a mention in today’s Cracked article about “unhealthy mentalities the Internet has turned into movements”. As soon as I saw the title, I hoped something MRM-related would pop up.
