antifeminism evil women irony alert men who should not ever be with women ever misogyny MRA oppressed men the spearhead thug-lovers

MRAs: The men who lost their lives protecting their girlfriends in the Aurora theater shooting were “suckers.”

Over on The Spearhead, the regulars are discussing the three young men who sacrificed their own lives to save their girlfriends in the chaos of the Aurora theater shootings.

Needless to say, many of them aren’t too keen on any act of heroism that might benefit a woman.

Here are the two highest-rated comments in the comment thread. (I have bolded some of the more egregious stuff.)

Young Guy writes:

Sacrifice was once expected of men and women, but it has only been expected of men since the social contract between men and women was torn up by feminists. Most women have been told their entire lives they can have it all, and their happiness is the most important thing in the universe, so most women hate the thought of having to give up anything or putting other people before themselves. Most relationships today are one-sided, so don’t be shocked when men shun marriage or take up pumping and dumping. That might sound harsh to some people, but most women did it to themselves.

Why should I give every ounce of my being for a woman when she is one bad mood away from tossing me onto the scrap heap? I have heard the horror stories from men who worked hard to provide for their families, only for it to mean nothing to their ungrateful ex-wives. I have seen men risk life and limb to protect women they loved, only to have the women in their lives leave them or forget about their sacrifices. It has been said men have obligations while women have options in our modern world, I and agree with that statement. Most women think the world is their oyster, and everyone should cater to them. Most men understand the world is a harsh place, and no one is going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Most women have done an excellent job pissing away all the goodwill men had towards them. I look at women my age, and I realize almost none of them are relationship material. Their entitlement is through the roof. They almost never say “thank you.” They demand chivalry even though they think they should never have to return the favor. They have been told any man who stands up for himself is guilty of abuse. It really is too much to ask of most women to be pleasant, keep the house clean, take care of the kids, and realize a relationship isn’t the Disney fairy-tale which they have been brainwashed with since birth.

Nietzsche (presumably not the ghost of the real Nietzsche) is a bit more concise:

They saved their lives so the girlfriends can be screwing other dudes in several months time…….. probably much less. Heroism is a suckers game.

These two comments each got nearly two dozen upvotes, even though the thread is still young.

Some other highlights of the thread:

Peter South agrees with Nietzsche’s assessment, but expects the girlfriends to move on even more quickly:

These young women will don black for the rest of their lives to mourn and commemorate the passing of these great fallen heroes.

Well ok they’ll be twittering, texting and yakking on their “smart phones” within a week about other guys…

But I think we can all agree that men generally make great meat shields.

Phil, meanwhile, derides the heroes as “suckers.”

Those boyfriends were suckers. These men were living in the past. The boyfriends were living in the 1700′s while modern day American women are living in feminist 2012. Modern day American women don’t live by the old social contract. The problem is men like these three don’t understand. These women will find new boyfriends and move on with their lives. The three men are dead. Gone forever. They died believing is something that doesn’t exist. It is tragic and disgusting.

Eric adds:

the grrlz who survived are probably moving on to the next cock even as we speak. And I’ll bet the types of guys they’re moving on to won’t be the type who’d take a bullet for them either.

Meanwhile, the lowest-rated comment in the thread, with more than two dozen downvotes and only 6 upvotes, is a comment from Georice81 praising the heroes, which starts off with:

The Bible says that there is no Greater Love than when a man gives up his life so that another man may live. I believe in this no matter what anyone may say, MRA or Feminist.

What these men did was heroic and defines what a true man should be. It isn’t a question of being a white knight. It is a question of being a brave man and a true man at that.

I guess the Spearheaders are only fans of traditionalism when it benefits them personally.

Varpole: Polliwog, I applied the term “hysterical” to all of Boobzland, many of whom, including the Boob King himself, are male. Your rebuttal is thus nonsensical.

No, it’s not. That you made a blanket dismissal doesn’t change what it was. You dismissed her words (and all of ours, actually) because you think we are, “hysterical”.

Which is what she said you did.

you’ll note I have never used any so-called “misogynist” slurs based on female genitalia, because I do not believe in that nonsense.

Nope. You merely think Paul Elam is moderate. You think NWO is cogent. Those are not actions without implications, as both of them are blatantly against the egalitarianism you profess to believe in. Even if we accept that your aim is an egalitarian society, your means are such that it can’t come about, because your allies are against you.

“The average income for all individuals with a Bachelor’s degree residing in California is over $50,000, whereas the average yearly income for transgender respondents with a Bachelor’s degree was below $30,000 – 40% less than the average college graduate in California.”
Source.

“Lesbian doctors are estimated to earn 9 percent less than both married and unmarried heterosexual female doctors. Lesbian lawyers, although the differential is insignificant across the country, are estimated to earn 9.8 percent less than their heterosexual counterparts in absence of antidiscrimination policies.”
Source.

“After controlling for demographic and work characteristics, I find that in comparison to heterosexual women the young [Australian] lesbians in my sample: (1) have lower personal incomes; (2) have significantly higher odds of reporting distressing harassment at work, difficulty finding a job, losing a job, and decreased income; and (3) are significantly more dissatisfied with and report more stress about economic aspects of their lives (e.g. work, career, money).” Source.

Okay, but leaving that aside for now because lesbians and trans people no doubt deserve to remain completely invisible… /sarcasm

So yes- young, childless, urban professional women make more money than their male counterparts. That’s not everyone. But it’s a lot of people and a significant slice of the population.

Oh, really. Maybe if you define “young” as everyone under retirement age, and “urban” as anyone living within 500 miles of urban areas (as defined for census purposes), and “professional” as making minimum wage or above and working at least 20 hours/week.

So, Steelepole, how about you doing some research for a change, and supplying some numbers on how many young, childless, urban, professional women there are as a total percentage of the working population in the U.S., for example. Hop to it!

Varpole: And of course, as a childless, semi-young (late 20s) urban professional, I feel indignant and angry at the wage gap and the glass ceiling.

Whut? You are in your late 20s, are an urban professional, running some sort of entrepreneurial venture on the side, and can afford to be enrolled in a graduate program of some sort; while finding the time to maintain a relationship, and you are complaining that you are underpaid…

How much money do you think women are getting, if you think they are better off than you are?

Youth goes up to age 42, that is where mid life begins, and at age 64 then you are offically old.

As a queer person to another, read up on privilege and intersectionality to gain an understanding of the concept. It will benefit you in ways unrelated to feminism. You have white male privilege in social situations where your sexuality is not relevant or is concealed. As a gay person you are, however, disadvantaged compared to straight people who have hetero privilege over you. There’s many kind of privilege and every one of us gains some and loses some depending on what we are. For example if we compare you, a white gay male, to a POC gay female, you both lose by being gay, but you have white and male privilege over her. Because POCs and women both get discriminated in ways white people and men do not. You do not see this discrimination because you do not experience it. But think about this: you clearly DO see the discrimination YOU face as gay, because you experience it. Well it’s the same way the POC lesbian will experience the discrimination. If she were straight she would not experience gay discrimination and thus might not see it, just the way you don’t see her disadvantages as a woman. Or in other words, your privilege as a man.

The cure to this is to remove one’s head from one’s posterior and listen to those who face discrimination, and try to relate to their experiences.

Just because you are a gay man does not mean we can understand one another. Straight women are so privlileged that its a dream compared to any other status in America with more choice’es, and protection,s and advantages, than straight, or gay men ,or lesbians could ever dream of.

Actually, one is “officially” old at 40. That’s when the Federal Anti Age Discrimination statute kicks in.

You are a” racist” “sexist” “homophobe” blah, blah, blah,,,,,any one can call any one those silly names.

@Polliwog, that was a wonderfully clear and elegant explanation of privilege that you wrote out on the last page, IMHO.

Your partner’s Cuban so you can’t be bigoted against Black people? (assuming that he’s not Black Cuban, which seems highly unlikely all things considered) Also, do you think you’re less privileged that your partner now? Or is it only Black people? Inquiring minds want to know.

Why ? you can not accuse some one of murder with out evidence ,and you can not accuse a man of beating his wife with out evidence ,so why should you be able to call me a racist with out evidence ?

Also, you need to stop putting, for example, gays and blacks against each other when talking privilege. They’re not comparable as social groups. It goes like this when talking privilege: straight vs gay; white cs POC; male vs female; cisgender vs transgender; educated vs uneducated; upper class vs middle class; middle class vs working class; etc. where the first mentioned has privilege over the other. All of this is also dependent on the context. For example, a white person may be discriminated against in a country where white caucasians are a minority. A Christian person may be discriminated against in a Muslim majority country, whilst the same Christian probably has privilege in a Christian majority country.

I’m not the best to explain this but I tried to put it in simple terms.
