The only mildly funny (in a laughing at obvious stupidity kind of way) part of the whole Ruby situation is that she caused it in the first place, by linking to another site related to a different subject (if I remember), and not thinking that we would scroll down to see her laughing it up about prison rape and call her out on it.

Or maybe i’m just giving her too much credit, because she seems surprised every time someone doesn’t agree with her.

On cats, and the brushing thereof:

Both of mine love being brushed, though they react differently to it. One tries to eat the brush and anything attached to it, while the other goes into Ecstasy Mode (the same reaction it gives to prolonged scratching) and just dribbles all over the place.

So much so that you are still actively defending it. You are in the same camp as Meller, and NWO. The only difference is why you think people should be raped.

That means are not as good a person as you think (esp. because you think that committing fraud is deserving of rape, and don’t care that the man you said you would laugh heartily about learning had been raped is elderly, and a trifle frail).

Ruby has the same problem as the woman I was arguing with on Huffpo: She bascially thinks that anyone who doesn’t want to be raped in prison should just never go to prison.

Of course we have governments who have promised private companies they will have 90 percent occupancy of prisons which leads to overcrowding, and understaffing (because the same perverse incentives in Healthcare then apply to prisons: they become a means to an end, i.e. making money, and lose the focus of their mission; providing a needed service to all).

But Ruby doesn’t care, because it pleases her to think of, “bad people” getting raped.

She’s a sadist at a remove. She gets her pleasure from the idea of people being tortured, and she doesn’t care whom it hurts, nor does it bother her if people who “don’t deserve it” get raped too. They are just collateral damage in her vengeance fantasies.

In any case, Ruby, I have no sympathy for you, because ruling out the possibility that you’re an MRA fake feminist, I think you’re a terrible person with some truly evil, hateful worldviews. And so much privilege shining out your ass, you think your bogus sense of “justice” can be instituted fairly. However; I still don’t think you deserve to be raped because rape is a terrible thing that NO ONE FUCKING DESERVES. So, what makes a person EVIL? (Everyone causes some pain and suffering to others at some point.) Are certain people intrinsically EVIL, or do they become so through their acts? Is a person’s EVIL status ever reversible? If a person is EVIL and deserving of rape, and then they get raped–are things fair now, or do they deserve to be raped again indefinitely because they’re still EVIL?

Does EVILness have a magnitude? Can one person be more EVIL than another? Should we reflect this in our administration of rape–should one person be raped several times and another only once, or should one person be designated for especially violent rape? How can we ensure this happens if we leave the rape administration up to random chance?

I don’t expect Ruby to answer these questions, of course, but I do wish she’d answer the question of how she avoids thinking about them.

Accepting the fact that causing change (of any kind) takes a lot of time and hard work seems to be totally out of the question for them.

In particular, they seem to really not want to take any kind of action that isn’t attack or defense, but is just plain old work.

A lot of what feminists do isn’t direct attacks on misogyny, but support for other women–sheltering women fleeing abusive situations, providing women with healthcare and legal representation, educating young women. You don’t really get to say “oh YEAH take THAT woman-haters” after you help women access mammogram screening. (Well, you can, but it’s a little more abstract.) It’s also a whole lot more work than just throwing stones at the other side.

I have seen absolutely zero equivalent activism from MRAs.

Multiple people have brought up the reality of who usually gets raped in prison to Ruby. As far as I can tell (since she refuses to engage those arguments), she either still stubbornly clings to the idea that only the Deserving(tm) get raped in prison, or she would give those others a conciliary handshake and a “Sucks to be you, but you understand that those others need to be punished, don’t you? What’s that, they were the ones who were raping you? Oh well… Look! A three-headed monkey!!”
