Look out, Jade Michael and the Fuck Their Shit Up Crew! Sure, your Men’s Rights theme song “Go My Own Way” was hailed by MRAs around the internet as a work of genius, and, in the words of one eminent critic angry misogynist dude,
a veritable anthem for the red pill crowd … replete with a great, purist rock sound, a touch of humor, attitude, and a ton of gut level, red pill honesty.
It’s Red Pill-riffic! But now Jade and the one other guy who makes up his, er, “crew” now have competition in the Men’s Rights anthem business!
Without futher ado, here is Slumberwall, with a little song called “The Hatred of Women.”
Did any of you make it past the one minute mark? I couldn’t.
Happily, Slumberwall has transcribed the terrible lyrics to the song, so you don’t have to listen to the whole thing in order to appreciate its true Men’s Rightsy awfulness. Here are the best bits, by which I mean the bits most likely to make you want to puncture your eardrums with knitting needles.
Men have no doubt
Just what they’re for
We die at work
We die in war
We die at sea
As the lifeboats float ashore
Women & children,
all aboard
Never mind that, as I pointed out yesterday, “women and children first” isn’t really a thing.
Anyway, back to Slumberwall:
We take the strain
We bear the load
Build the bridges
Sweep the roads
Make the houses
That make the homes
Pay for others
But live alone
And the more that it happens
The more I see
The hatred of women
For men like me
Well, if by “men like me” you mean “men who write and sing the shittiest music that has ever been made by human beings,” I have to say that I kind of understand this hatred.
Nonetheless, on YouTube the Men’s Rightsers are cheering this song as a brilliant work of social criticism.
Wanderer5200 enthuses:
I haven’t had a favorite song in a very long time. But I think this is it.
TheAetherspeak declares
Awesome Song. The voice all purveyors of patriarchy theory remain ignorant of.
Gamenode explains:
Women have never been oppressed but through their reproductive monopoly have exploited men and seen us butchered and enslaved for their own privilege. Fuck ’em all.
KellyJones00 adds,
Don’t fuck them at all. Just leave them alone. Don’t even donate sperm.
Time for a little bit of a musical palate cleanser.
Make sure to listen to all ten hours of that for the full palate-cleansing effect.
@Blasteroid- Right fucking on.
Blaster, men can be part of feminism, they just can’t be Boss Feminist. Got a problem with that?
@ Hippodameia —
If we live in a rape culture, how would you describe the culture in Darfur?
“Male feminists exemplify chivalry.” Not the male feminists I’ve seen here, they don’t.
“They think women are weak” That’s a very un-feminist statement.
“They think women are weak and need protection from patriarchy.” Does fighting racism means PoC are weak? Being a victim, or being opressed isn’t being weak.
“Some of them also feel guilty which is the result of communal blame. ” Proof? Anyway, people shouldn’t feel guilty of being born something, only of the harm they cause by their action or inaction.
“Some men become feminists because they want attention from women.” Again, how would you know? How would that work on internet? Do you realize that it would be a terribly ineffective method? Though I guess “being a decent and respectful person” probably increase your odds with feminists, it’s hardly a proof it’s why male feminists do this choice.
I thought we’d decided that Jilted John was the MRA anthem.
“@ kirby warp — I have a hard time finding anything on NOW’s website which might suggest life isn’t completely horrible for women.”
Maybe because they focus on the problems related to women, not the “sunshine and lollipop” parts of society, because, you know, that’s how activism usually works. Then again I know nothing about NOW, but your cricicism seems very strange.
@Blasteroid:
Erm… How about this? Or this? Or these two? “Completely horrible” is a pretty low bar.
Anyway, NOW is an activist website. Why wouldn’t you expect to see rallying cries and calls to action? I’d hardly say that these suggest that life is “completely horrible for women.”
Bed Time!
I’d like to leave you with this —
okay, so it definitely is dumb, whiny, and self-absorbed enough to be b____n
bye crybaby
Before you go, Blastoise, are you satisifed with my and other’s explanations of Rape Culture and Toxic Masculinity? I realize we’re moving at quite a clip, but it’d be nice to make sure that the ground we covered has settled.
No, this actually has evidence behind it. See, f’rex:

In a word, “Moreso”. Other places having it worse off is not identical to it being good here.
Boggles my mind why men would want to “be a part of feminism” with full knowledge that they’ll be limited based on gender. Do something else where you won’t be attacked for succeeding.
That’s not ‘not coexisting’, you lackwit. It’s not even ‘not working together’.
Darfur isn’t the issue here, dear. You need to describe rape culture to us so we can understand your problems with it. But apparently that’s too hard for you to do.
‘Succeeding’ would be ‘ending sexism’. That’s not going to happen in my lifetime.
@Goku Fucking Vegeta:
Hush, MRAL, the grownups are talking.
Boggles my mind why men would want to “be a part of feminism” with full knowledge that they’ll be limited based on gender.
I don’t know why anyone would want to be a straw feminist, either.
GFV, you mean like throw in with MRM? Not a lot of success there.
Kirby, you ninja’d me on calling MRAL.
I’m sad… Blastazoid never really managed to make a concrete statement, except with regards to male feminists (and that was waaayyy off base). Each one was basically a statement that would be extremely difficult to disprove, but worded plausibly enough (“some”) that zie hoped it wouldn’t require support.
Oi…
Gave up rather quickly though.
Perhaps Blastazoid will come sneaking back at 3:00 AM to get in the last word. Or even wait a couple of weeks and then post when no-one’s looking.
@hellkell:
I just wanna be right so I can say I called it. 😛 Its really just a slightly informed stab in the dark.
Though I wonder what GFV thinks of Hugo Schwyzer… Was he cast out of feminism for being successful?
Oh, Goku!
