No post today. My cat died last night. A friend found her on the doorstep one cold and rainy night some 14 years ago, an overgrown abandoned kitten, but Bo’s weird intensity was too much for my friend’s cats to handle, so I took her in. After a long and, I think, mostly happy life (she was a bit cranky, and more or less hated everyone but me), she developed a lung problem that really wasn’t treatable, and it was only a matter of time. Still, most of the time she seemed like her old un-sick self, and I somehow still hoped she’d magically revive and stick around a little while longer. Then over the last couple of days she really started to go downhill, and finally tonight she died. I will miss her enormously.

I’m so sorry, David.
*hugs* too.
Sending my love and support… Rest well, Bobo.
David, hope you have the time and means to properly and adequately grieve her loss — the worse pain is in losing and being rushed back to the daily grind!
Oh, David! I’m so sorry 🙁
Thanks!
I keep expecting her to come trotting into the room. I’ve never lived in this apartment sans Bo.
Been there before, David. It’s hard… again, my sympathy and support for you!
*Hugs* It’s terrible losing a buddy. Bobo sounds like my Max. Everyone waited until after he died to tell me how mean he was. 🙁 I think I was the only one he loved.
David, I’m very sorry to hear this. I’m going to make a donation to the local cat resue in Bobo’s memory.
I am so very sorry for your loss David.
*sending hugs*
Hugs from me too.
I am so scared of our family cat dying. >.<
God.
I’m so sorry David. She was lucky to have such a devoted owner in life.
I’m so sorry. 🙁
So sorry David. To lose a cat that has been part of your life for so long is very hard.
So sorry to hear that, David.
*internet hugs* I’m sorry for your loss.
Losing a pet is damn hard.
Condolences.
I’m sorry david :/
Sorry for your loss, David.
Oh my 13 1/2 yo stray is currently wheezing his way thru the start of winter and the Vet says he should hopefully last through but maybe not or maybe another couple of years. We rescued him from the gutter after a street sweeper ran over him as a bedraggled approx 6 month old malnourished stray. I had to borrow money at the time to patch him up and he occasionally wept blood tears where the sweeper got under his eyelids and the vets couldn’t fix it. But he has been treasured ever since as I am sure Bobo was. I lost the last stray dog we rescued last year and feel for you. While you probably feel like you could have done more to stave off the inevitable, just think what might have happened if your paths had never crossed. Bo was obviously well loved. If there is a cat afterlife I would put good money on the fact she is currently raising a glass and toasting that funny bloke who spent a lot of time on his computer who taught her you can actually trust some people and they will love you no matter what.
So sorry about Bobo. 🙁
I’m very sorry, too.
Hugs!
My condolences. Losing pets sucks.
Sorry for your loss, David! She sounds like she was a lovely animal.
