Just a little heads up for any of you in the Chicago area: I’ll be speaking at Northwestern University on Monday, as part of its annual “Sex Week.”
My topic? “How to hate women and have terrible sex: Misogynistic sex myths, and how they ruin sex for everyone.” Nice Guys, Friend Zones, and the Alpha Asshole Cock Carousel will all make appearances.
The talk will be at 8 PM in Room G02 of Annenberg Hall on the Northwestern Campus in Evanston.
(Here’s a map.)
There will be free condoms and lube. (Apparently.)
For more about sex week, see the official website, or take a look at this piece in the Daily Northwestern.
Sex week is sponsored by the College Feminists; I’m talking at the invitation of Men Against Rape and Sexual Assault.
I’ll be writing the lecture over the weekend, so please feel free to offer suggestions as to which misogynistic sex myths I should talk about.
EDITED TO ADD: The Spearhead has discovered that I’m doing this talk. W. F. Price writes about it with his usual objectivity, by which I mean that his piece is filled with lies and weird projection.
Yeah, I’m sure you’re two completely different people who both have interesting lives who both just happen to enjoy getting drunk off their asses and pulling sexist shit therefrom to post on comment threads.
Pell Pell. Pell’s full name is Pell Pell. This… is…
*grk*
*brak*
*grnnn*
D’AWWWWWWWWW!
Just realized I haven’t had Doritos in forever… Man, now I’m nearly positive that Pell is 15 years old.
Yeah, you seem more like the cheese doodles type
Most unconvincing sock ever.
Even less persuasive than Mr Al.
@Jane:
Can’t stand cheese doodles. Can’t stand cheetos either, before you miss again.
Here’s a little hint. Cheese-its. Cheese-nips are heresy.
I prefer to think his name is Grant Pell.
I know I would rather have grape soda and cool ranch Doritos with Kirby-both of which I hate-than spend a second in Pell’s company.
And I can take myself to a nice dinner (and Kirby if he wants to come along for something that is not icky) thank you very much.
My mama doesn’t even have a basement, she lives in a trailer…in the woods, where you can’t get internet.
@princessbonbon:
I think kirby would be a rather expensive date.
(>’O)> *inhales both dishes and the check*
…
Poyo!
Oh right, princess bon bon, I never answered the question about who I’d spend time with! I would love to hang out with Kirby, he seems awesome! I don’t make a habit of spending time with asshole teenagers, though 🙁 sorry Pell. Although I don’t suppose you’d care too much, since you don’t seem to think that much of women in general.
Don’t be so dense. He’s Christopher Pell and his father was Claiborne Pell. His family came to the colonies on the Mayflower although he was born in England and educated at Vevey, Swit.
Viscaria-I know Chris well and he loves females provided they are educated and of course slim. Wealthy men do not have lardarses as gf’s.
@Jane:
His family must have been a stowaway, because there is no “Pell” on the Mayflower Passenger List. God I love the internet.
@kirbywarp, what about the Clifts? Did they come over on the Mayflower? XD
I thought he was related to Montgomery Clift
kirbywog-don’t believe everything you read on Wiki which apparently is your sole source of info or on google for that matter. Only idiots do that.
*patiently requests a second check and another dish of food for Kirby*
My last name is on the list of the people from the Mayflower but why does no one ever mention the first shipment of people to Jamestown?
There once was a Christopher Pell
and under a bridge he did dwell
his attempts to insult
were not very adult
and sadly he did not excel
@Viscaria:
Nope, no Clifts either. ^_^
And thanks for picking me, btw. I promise I have only the choicest kids games, and you get your pick of your favorite soda! 😛
@Jane:
You could always try this list for size. Though I suppose mayflowerhistory.com is a notoriously biased site dedicated towards the eradication of the Pell family from history as well, eh?
Settlers list.
Actually I’m speaking to Chris now and I was mistaken. I had assumed it was the Mayflower or Speedwell but he tells me I’m incorrect. He says that they first sent the servants first but then decided to go to Conn. not Mass. in the 1600’s
So we’re supposed to believe “Pell” is the son of the deceased senator from Rhode Island. Pull the other one.
It’s funny he keeps changing his story almost as if he is lying!
Well my family name(s) are not on those lists. Darn. I guess I better board a ship back to England.
@Jane:
Nope, still no Pells, and no Clifts.
