Men’s Rights Activists, or Kitten Haters? You decide.

The Men’s Rights subreddit responds to my previous post:

Men’s Rights Movement, I say to you: You can’t handle the kittens! YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE KITTENS!

I rest my case.

My cat actually got wilder with age – he had an awful cold when he was first adopted, and took a while to recover, so for the first few weeks he was very sedate and then he started bouncing off the walls. He hasn’t slowed down yet.

When I first got my cat she was still a kitten (about 6 months old), and she was the neediest creature that ever did need. Adorable, yes, but she would literally come stand in the doorway and whine at me any time I tried to do anything that wasn’t playing with or cuddling her. There’s a very distinctive cat noise that means “pay attention to me!”, and I heard it a lot for the first few months.

they’re cats who have yet to learn Important Cat Facts like “don’t put your sharp parts in the people”

Um, my cat still hasn’t learned this one, and he’ll be twelve this year. :/

fortunately at least he’s never missed the litterbox.

I should try to find the pic of my first cat when he was trying to eat the crumbs out of a packet of beef crisps and got the packet stuck on his head.

@David

Let it be known that at very least I think of kittenpony as being an excellent closing argument.

Basil looks like my Vladimir when he was little. I’ve never been able to take a recognosable photo of Vlad, though. 🙁

BigMomma, that is a tummy that needs rubbing 🙂 or is it a cunning trap for hands?

Need to know

BigMomma- we had a cat who would do just that pose and it was a TRAP. We learned to warn guests not to put their hands in the Venus Flycat.

Cat bellies are traps more often than not! Most of my cats like belly rubs, however, including the one I adopted because she was almost unhandleable at 16 weeks (despite plenty of socialisation from little-wee).

I am going to try and post a picture, not sure if HTML tags work… this is Klaus, anyway, one of my hoarde. 🙂

Is there a way to make the “mock” part neon colored and blinky? Perhaps that plus increasing the font size would help.

My kittens are orphaned feral babies I had to hand feed. They are therefore ridiculously attached to me, and got the litterbox thing VERY quick, but we are still working on sharp parts in peoples. That said, I melt for hyper and mellow cats and kittens. I also consider dogs and cats a tie for general awesomeness, and just don’t play the dog vs. Cat person thing.

@Holly: When our cat had babies she taught them how to use the litterbox all by herself! Isn’t that a responsible mum?
We gave away the three girls to fellow kitty-lovers and kept the boy, He is now the most adorable black neutered cat-macho on earth, but unfortunately, he still sticks his sharp parts in people from time to time!

@Ozymandias: All the best to you! I’m jealousm I’d love to adopt a kitten for myself, but my appartment is too small and too close to a the street. My partner and I are proud parents to three tarantulas and a scorpion, though.

@Magpie and Need to Know

Our siamese does the same thing! We call it the Cat Bear Trap. I fall for the fluffy tummy every time :*(

Here’s our two puddin’s when they were little:

And here’s the vicious siamese:

>>>Cats are all right and all. I just don’t get the whole kitten thing though.

Cats are cute.
Kittens are small cats.
Kittens are, therefore, concentrated cuteness.

Cats are cute.
Kittens are small cats.
Kittens, therefore, contain less cuteness.

:p

I dunno, I’m weird or maybe just lazy, but give me a mellow old cat who sleeps in the sun and lies still for scritches any day.

If I ever adopt a cat, I’m getting one that’s nice and mellow and has some common sense, and one that someone else already taught not to put its sharp parts in the people. I don’t need those scars.

yeah, if i ever got a cat, it would have to be one that had already made a life decision to be chill as fuck

that said i dont see that ever happening because once i have money i dont intend to ever not have multiple gigantic dogs
