Devastating new "fly" slogan gives MRAs the edge in the war of ideas

Well, my fellow feminists, we might as well pack it in. For the forces arrayed against us have a devastating, nay brutal, new slogan.

The Counter-Feminist Agent of Change (CFAC) who calls himself Fidelbogen explained in a recent post how this “wicked new slogan” came to him. Also, what the slogan is:

This occurred to me in a flash of inspiration today. I grabbed the first scrap of paper I could find and jotted it down:

Feminism spreads lies like a fly spreads germs.

You like it? I thought you would.

So . . . spread it around, and make it part of the “buzz”!

Get it? Buzz. Like, “buzz” means “what people are excitedly talking about.” But it is also the sound that a fly makes.

See, Fidelbogen is working with TWO DIFFERENT MEANINGS at once. It’s like juggling two things at once, only with your brain. No wonder some MRAs regard his as the finest mind in the Men’s Rights movement today.

Several days after The Bogen (that’s what I like to call him) came up with this masterful slogan, one artistically minded MRA took it to a whole nother level – by using the slogan in the graphic above.

As The Bogen explained in his second post about his new slogan:

Memes can take many forms, and what you see here is among the most elemental and effective of those forms.

I am posting this graphic image for anybody on the planet who wants to fly away with it and spread it around.

First with the “buzz” thing, and now “fly away with it.” LIKE FLIES DO! The man is a genius.

Hell man, you could even print it on T-shirts and coffee mugs. Certainly you can post it on your website. Best of all, you can print it on little squares of paper and leave these in all manner of places where all manner of people will happen upon them.

Oh shit. T-shirts? Mugs? Motherfucking SQUARES OF PAPER?! He’s going CROSS-PLATFORM!

This is the sort of thing that will land in people’s brains, and buzz around there, and never leave!

I explained the buzz thing already, didn’t I?

It will find its way into the general buzz of conversation, too!

Just in case you’ve forgotten. Buzz = what people are talking about. ALSO THE SOUND FLIES MAKE.

I still cannot get over how much of a genius move that whole “buzz” thing is. I don’t know how he does it.

I kindly thank St. Estephe, the blog keeper who created this. I am honored to see my words so skillfully combined with pictures, and made ten times more effective by that method.

It’s true. It takes a tremendous amount of skill to find a picture of a fly, and then to put words next to it.

How can we possibly compete with this?

I tried to come up with some slogans of my own. But the best I could do was this:

I hope you guys have some better ideas.

Try QuickMeme if you want to make a little graphic. I’ll post any especially good ones here!

EDITED TO ADD: Some more graphics that are Fidelbogenesque in their brilliance. One from Scar, one from me.

It’s like if you said you participated in the breast cancer walk. I think most people would assume that involves raising money.

That you assumed it must not because I’m an MRA says a lot more about how bitter and jaded feminists have become.

That’s a lot of words and I notice not one of them is “I gave money.”

Shit, man, it’s not like you have to give money to prostate cancer research or whatever. (Personally, I think that support services for patients and survivors are actually a better place to put money than research.) It’s just… why you gotta be so fucking weasely about it?

You hate women way more than you like men. Fuckin’ own up to it.

For people who find me boring, when I suggested that you were all faux geeks, suddenly you’re falling all over yourselves to give me book names, author names, and everything. I thought I was just “trollin’” I thought I was boring, and you didn’t care about what I thought of you?

I thought “negging” didn’t work?

Sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of me being in the army for six years and you refusing to tell me how long you served, while pulling up the old ‘draft’ argument.

I am quite sorry that you don’t have access to peer-reviewed studies, dude. But all I have is peer-reviewed studies! They are the gold standard of research, after all. So hie thyself down to the college library and look them up, or take my word for it.

“ooooooorrrrr, youre at a blog full of people who jump at every opportunity to talk about nerd shit?”

Your point?

@Pervy

I’m not the one who joked that abused boys’ should have sex with each other as a solution.

Again, if an MRA was joking about abused girls and women, and all they needed was some hot lesbian sex. What would the response here be?

You’re assuming a lot about where I live and what I have access to.

Except they’re telling me that this is proof against what I said. They aren’t saying it in a vacuum, they aren’t even claiming it’s in a vacuum. It’s a direct response to my little “neg”. (If you believe in that stuff)

good point. relating tangents back to the main topic is a common feminist trick.

Kathleen: Summer told me about it! Isn’t it awesome! My girlfriend and FWB all snuggled on my big bed and watched it, and then we watched My Little Pony. 🙂

Oh, and I forgot the other things that are on my bookshelf: my Pinkie Pie doll and stuffed Cthulhu Squamous Squish (Squish for short). Say hi! 🙂

Nephrite: No, I’m really sorry. The way that journals control information access is unconscionable. Information WANTS to be free– especially publicly funded information, like a lot of peer-reviewed articles are. 🙁 But I don’t really have another option! You can take my word for it, you can take Alas a Blog’s word for it (full disclosure– I got the studies from there but checked them out myself), or you can find a way to look them up.

Ozy: I didn’t like the first one quite so much (although the constant ‘isn’t so-and-so here?’ reminded me a lot of some of my gaming groups…), but man, I adored the sequel. Maybe because the lady (whose name has slipped my mind) is twenty kinds of awesome? Or the poor paladin having to be distracted from his less lawful compatriot’s activities….

I.e. feminism didn’t get the ability to just skip trials all together. I’m so sorry that some of us resisted and prevented a total feminist police state. I’ve been a bad man. I’m so sorry to have offended feminism!

Yo, you realize that most crimes don’t need video tape of violent resistance to be convicted for, right?

I actually think, for the record, that suggesting abused boys have sex with each other is in poor taste. (I mean, some of them eventually will, and godspeed to them. But “why don’t you just fuck each other?” is not something I would say to a group of abused boys.)

But it’s a minor bit of poor taste compared to the poor taste of belonging to a hate movement.

Nephrite, I just hope you aren’t sharing your opinions about women with those boys.

And not just for women’s sake. For the boys. So that when they grow up in a world where they’ll be working with women, they’ll be in social circles with women, they’ll have women as clients or customers, they’ll have female neighbors, and most of them will be loving women–so they can fucking cope with that.

To be honest with you, the MRM has hurt very few women. (Although God knows they’d like to; are you even going to deny that?) What it’s really hurt is men. Men being taught that they have no chance in a world of women, men being taught to be constantly on the defensive, men being taught that their gender has no resources and no hope and their only options are violence or despair.

Although I have no doubt that MRA ideas have gotten a few women abused, I think they’ve put many more men into an absurd, pathetic state of confinement in their own basements.

Okay, false accusations of abuse aside, the MRM has helped a lot of men and boys. And no, I won’t stop helping boys just because great almighty feminism thinks my methods are evil. Nice try with the concern trolling though. I know what I do is helping. I’ve seen it.

It’s laughable your attempts to just make us give up and let feminism handle it. Let women handle the children right? We are teaching them the truth.

Feminism claims that 1 in 6 women are raped. Perhaps you should tell feminist organizations to tone down that claim since all it’s doing is teaching women to constantly be defensive, that their gender has no hope and despair is the only option.

Except, as you know, teaching the truth of the world isn’t the same as telling somebody there’s no hope.

If I felt there’s no hope, why the fuck am I an MRA? Why the fuck after the life I’ve been through, do I keep fighting?

Millions of men are dying because of feminism. That doesn’t mean there’s no hope. It means we just have to fight harder.
