Fixed that for you. I noticed you ignored my point about how the difference between a person who is 18 and fighting for the country they live in and anyone else at eighteen is that a person who is in the military is different due to the way they are trained to handle a weapon for the state (both in the literal use of the gun and in dealing with the concept of killing another human.)
Nowhere in that training is how to handle one’s liquor. Or last I checked anyway.

Oh, man…. Didn’t you say you spent time in the Army? And you can say that with a straight face? Maybe you managed to find the battalion of 19Ds who were all mature and shit, but in 16 years of playing with soldiers from I forget how many countries I didn’t see that they were fundamentally more mature for their age.
They had some things where that might seem the case, but at bottom, they are no more, nor less mature than anyone else their age.

Now this is just silly. Are all younger women objectively more attractive than all older women in all cases? I’d just like to remind you, before you answer, that Christina Hendricks is in her 30s and Halle Berry is 45.
And also, as Cassandra keeps saying, looks totally matter to women. I care far far far more about the appearance of the guys that I sleep with than with the size of their bank accounts, since I can pay my own bills quite easily and have been financially independent for some time now. Hell, I’ve even been attracted to men who are younger than I am by several years and are college students, who are therefore both younger and poorer than me. How do you account for that?
Again, I am not making claims against all of humanity. I am not saying “all men” or “all women” or “every human being on the face of the earth”. My argument deals with a subset of the population. The “majority of men” does not equal humanity. With women making up 51% of the population. And to qualify as the “majority of men” one only needs 50% of the men.
That means 50% of the other men don’t qualify o_O
Like if only 50% of women are as you say, then that means 50% of the women you meet, or I meet, or Pecunium meets in every day life wouldn’t be as you say. So… how useful is this knowledge of them? o_O

@Ami, and if Brandon is indeed right, then what sort of predictive value does that have when interacting with people? If 49% of women don’t really care that much about money, or 49% of men are primarily attracted to women their own age, then doesn’t it make more sense to just ask people about their preferences and take them at their word? After all, statistics doesn’t prove anything when talking to an individual person about their likes and dislikes.

@Pecunium: So when pressed on his logic, the apparently inherent, “because I think so” which seems to underlie all his opinions will come to the fore, because he is unwilling to use outside sources/submit his thinking to rational analysis.

As you will see, it was dialog between a hypothetical person rationalizing having multiple ages of majority and myself. The point was to show how ludicrous having an 18 for military, 21 for civilian age requirement on handguns is.
M Dubz: Nothing is going to apply to “all women” or “all men”. We are talking averages, means, and percentages.
Also this isn’t directly about looks, but young vs old. As women age, they, on average get less attractive physically. A 30 year old woman is going to look younger and better looking than a 50 year old woman most of the time. (there are always exceptions to the rules)
How do I account for that? Easy….in mathematics and statistics it is called “standard deviation”.

If you took 1000 35 year old men, do you really think the majority would be clamoring to date 50-55 year old women as opposed to 21-25 year old women? Do you really think that 500+ of those men would exert the same amount of energy trying to date and sleep with a 50 year old vs a 25 year old?
