Man Boobz Troll (and Trollhunter) of the Year Awards: Send in your nominations!

TROOOOLLLL!!!

Readers! Commenters! I am now (a bit late, I know) collecting nominations for Man Boobz Troll of the Year. Put forward your choice (or choices), and make the case for them, in the comments below. Feel free to make up your own categories for Troll Awards as well; I want to recognize the many and varied contributions of our many and varied trolls.

The winner(s) will receive little tiaras. But they have to go buy them for themselves, with their own money.

I am also collecting nominations for Man Boobz Troll Hunter of the Year – that is, the commenter or commenters here who you think have fought the good fight in the bestest possible ways. Again, you are free to make up your own categories for these awards.

The winner(s) here will receive a FREE viewing of the movie TrollHunter! It’s Norwegian! And really quite awesome, a faux documentary about the life of a Trolljegeren working secretly for the Norwegian government. Scary and hilarious!

Oh, and by “free viewing” I mean you can watch it on Netflix instant, if you’ve got Netflix. Hey, I’m kind of broke here. On the plus side, you can watch it even if you don’t win!

@CassandraSays

It’s such a slippery slope innit? One minute you’re whispering sweet nothings to your beloved dolls, the next, hurling vile nothings at unmoved people on the internet.

@Dracula:

The problem with AI is that pesky I. Meller would much rather bask in the vapid, painted on adoration from his dolls than try, and fail, to charm those over-educated, and likely feminist, sims!!!

I’m intrigued by the notion that enjoying hobbies like belly-dance or cooking, etc, are portals back to TRUE WOMENHOOOD, rather than hobbies we enjoy. Somehow, they hold our salvation! As if they hold power in themselves to feminize, and reeducate!

And Meller, no. Even talking about “the real world” you are vastly overrestimating how many women stayed home vs. men leaving to work. And you still harp on and on about post-industrial revolution wage slavery as if it’s some good, manly thing women intruded on. Sigh.

Everything men did is set as a standard of valid human behavior, because men did it, from voting and holding office to working outside the home, law enforcement, or management of businesses, universities, and the civil service–

…………………..

You’re an anti-statist, so you keep telling me, so why should men be doing many of these things either? The complaints that something that shouldn’t exist could be done better if there were only no girls mucking it up, but no, I’m not saying they should EXIST, are always fascinating, so I wait to hear them from you.

I think it would be interesting to put Meller and NWO in a room together. Meller thinks women should stay at home, whereas NWO detests the idea of women being lazy bitches.

Or we could make them debate on whether thid Madam Alexander doll is a teasing slut or a proper lady, and in what way she should be treated.

Creepy doll is creepy ><

You know why Meller needs dolls? Because no real woman is going to meet his standards and I think he knows this. Hence the dolls and hence the constant externalizing of his expectations. We fail because we don't meet his standards. We must be genetic mutants even though we comprise the majority of the female population. Females are nags and harpies because we don't want to live the life he thinks we should.

Oh he'd be happy with Betty Draper for a few weeks. But eventually even she would eventually do something to fail the test. The house wouldn't be clean enough. She'd have a bad day and be short with him. She'd having morning breath. She'd do something to betray her humanity and that would be it. Mellertopia (great word, btw lol!) would be shattered and the emotional abuse would begin.

That perfect woman only exists in magazines and TV shows. Trying to attain and then maintain that standard is partly what led women to feminism. And because we all have families, it's also why we all know that perfect suburban family is mostly a big load of bullshit to get us to buy products we mostly don't need. We all internalize it to some degree or another, but is there really anyone who doesn't on some level know what a total lie it all is? Hell, even that idiot Duggar woman looks like she's about to kill someone with a hambone half the time.

Ignoring their own needs and desires day in and day out for decades made a lot of women deeply unhappy and, yes Meller, deeply angry. Because they are human and because humans have needs that knitting and baking and I daresay even spouses can't meet. And because almost no one is going to be content to forget their own desires and dreams in order to please someone else. It's wildly inappropriate for you to expect this of others, you know that right?

If not, might I suggest a nice Pentecostal church for you? Perhaps a conversion to the FLDS church… if you're not already in it? Also the Amish might take you in. They might frown at the dolls and fluffies, but hey. They probably have some nice wooden ones you could, um, adopt.

It’s too bad that DKM is so vehemently opposed to male dolls. I think he and Robert the doll would get along.

Everyone noticed the part where Meller confessed to dousing his dolls in perfume, right? They can smell any way a man wants! Just like every other aspect a woman’s being, this should be totally under the control of her rightful master!

Oh, and Meller, You still haven’t answered me on Marital Rape and other Victorian issues, that according to you can’t have been a big deal, because men love their watches… er, Wives… Being some of the first things that galvanized the libertarian movement, so here’s a link back to that, too.

Leni – Meller has said he appreciates the way fundamentalist women are raised, but he doesn’t want a wife that preaches at him.

Yeah, that was particularly creepy.

Bad news, DKM: I went searching for a nice, fluffy Victorian lady who devotes herself to serving men, and it turns out they had wild streaks even back in the 1800s.

I don’t “douse my dolls in perfume”!

A small amount, suitable for a dainty and feminine little lady lovely, goes a LONG way!

Just because you modern women are ham-handed is no reason for youall to attribute such characteristics to me, or my little lady lovelies.

The important thing is that she has a delightfully feminine personality, dresses the way a woman should, and has a scent that one can appreciate.

“She” doesn’t have any personality at all, Meller, because she is an inanimate object. Her personality is imaginary, much like everything else that you hold dear.

What kind of perfume, Meller? I;m curious as to what you find an acceptably feminine fragrance.

“Little lady lovely”?

…DKM sounds like he walked straight out of a video about Stranger Danger.

@Cassandra: I’m pretty sure his idea of a feminine personality is no personality at all. No thoughts either.

On that note, I finally figured out what my mental image of DKM is: It’s that serial killer from the second season of Dollhouse, who kidnaps women and then shoots them up with paralysis drugs so that he can play house.

Zhinxi–January 2, 2012 @6:15pm

I wasn’t saying that men (in a libertarian world) SHOULD BE OR WOULD BE engaging in such activities. I merely cited the point that upon observing that those activities were done by me, certain de-sexed or masculinized women (and any renegade male housepets, e.g. William Godwin or John Stuart Mill) that such women dominateed, then decided to go whole hog imitating men and their activities in the larger world; setting themselves up as a social movement collectively seeking “equality”, and modern feminism was spawned!

Government grew by attaching itself to this whole new pool of political activists, lawyeresses, propagandists, and eventually voters and bureaucrats, and the result is what we have seen since the 1960’s. Since feminism played a large part in the growth of the State, my interest in libertarianism encourages a sceptical and critical attitude toward feminism, to say the least!

What about individualist feminists? Unfortunately, while they are often perfectly good libertarians, they have NO influence, either then or now, with feminism as it developed in modern society. Look at the posts here regarding–except for yours–Wendy McElroy, Suzanne Lafollette, Voltarine deClayre, Ayn Rand–OK, she isn’t your favorite writer either, but there is a big difference between your anarchist disagreements with her, and the typical post from manboobzettes–Joan Kennedy Taylor, Nancy Lord, Mary Ruwart, Sharon Presley, et al…

I dare say that your sister manboobzettes hate, or at least deliberately ignore, libertarian women to the same degree and for much the same reasons that mainstream “conservatives” hate Ron Paul. Both expose those who take “liberty”–or even “equality”, in the case of feminists–as liars, hypocrites, and damnfools!

I have certainly in countless posts expressed disgust and loathing of rape for any reason, and in any form. This would include marital rape, if you REALLY had the situations that you cite, e.g. a husband forcing himself brutally upon his wife. For understandable reasons, however, both good sense, knowing how wives are to husbands when they bear spite and malice toward him, and the legal value of “presumption of innocence”, It is of utmost importance to hear BOTH sides before forming even an opinion, much less a conclusion.

Women LIE, Zhinxi, and when an edge is to be gained in divorce, property settlement, child custody, standing in the community, or just plain revenge, they all LIE like politiicans!

After that typo my image of DKM is Mr. Sinister, a very unawesome Mr Sinister

Government grew at the behest of State-Corporate interests because that is its nature, and no voters had all that much to do with it. To think otherwise is quite the comforting fiction, even if it’s just to lay blame at other’s feet. I will deal with the rest tomorrow. I have mothering to do.

Lauralot–January 3, 2012 @10:36am

At least the ideal of a perfect lady existed in the culture. Women knew that they should at least attempt to please the important man in their lives, they knew about “Kinder, Kuche, Kirche” and “a woman’s place is in the home”, even if personal circumstances rendered this impossible for some of them.

They knew that “A man is the head of his home the way Christ is the head of his Church” even if they were personally atheists! Women knew that having a baby out of wedlock was a disgrace, to herself, to her family, and to her community, even if such a tragedy sometimes, perhaps even often, happened! Women KNEW that divorce was disreputable, evil, and a sign of unworthiness as a wife and mother. Divorce and desertion still happened, lauralot, but the attitudes toward them, especially among women, was the exact and total OPPOSITE of what prevailed since about 1918, and much worse, since around 1970!

Yes women in past eras certainly had a wild side, but they didn’t allow the wild ones to define womanhood the way that they–and youall-do nowadays!

No wonder he likes dolls, they’re nice and boring.
