At least for all us USians. I plan to spend the day eating things and not reading MRA blogs.
Here’s something we can all be thankful for: a baby panda playing with a soccer ball.

Awww. Totally thankful for that!

Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. Whether with family or far from it, with turkey and all the trimmings or letting the day pass uneventfully, here’s wishing you all innumerable reasons to be happy and to say “thank you.”
Happy Thanksgiving and lots of gratitude for your awesome blog from the Pervocracy table.
Thanks David for this most entertaining and diverting blog, as well as luring our daily trolls. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. As for the trolls, today it’s Meller who is need of human interaction beyond typing long dismal screeds somewhere on the Internet. Very sad.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my USian friends here!!
I’m thankful that I’m Canadian and therefore celebrated Thanksgiving in October, and I’m thankful that the Grey Cup is on this Sunday so that I can see my brothers at least once this month.
“I’m thankful that I’m Canadian and therefore celebrated Thanksgiving in October”
Lucky. :p
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone…now if you excuse me, I’m going to go off to enjoy some Mexican Chocolate Pie that I just made. Everyone at my house says that it’s delcious and unique. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! I enjoyed a traditional meal today with my family. I would say that I am the most thankful this year than I’ve ever been.
The Pervocracy (and Rowdy and Sprite and friends) Thanksgiving menu:
Maple-glazed turkey breast with can-shaped cranberry sauce
Green bean casserole
Rowdy’s super magic 800-ingredient stuffing
Mashed potaters and gravy
Apple and pumpkin pies
Jello!
Mulled cider
nom nom nom nom nom
“Maple-glazed turkey breast with can-shaped cranberry sauce”
Maple…glazed?
YUM!
Our menu was:
Deep fried turkey
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Homemade noodles
Stuffing
Green been casserole
Deviled eggs
Rolls
Watergate salad
Blackberry cobbler
Pumpkin pie
It takes a lot of cooking and cleaning, but it’s totally worth it for such a delicious meal.
Dare I ask about Watergate salad? (Everything sounds super yummy! Deviled eggs make everything fancy.)
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I am the luckiest person alive, and y’all are part of what makes it so.
Happy thanksgiving, guys. I think I’m going to make Kat A Kat curry (heart, kidneys, and brain–except I couldn’t find brain in my neighborhood) and watch Star Trek.
Happy Thanksgiving y’all! I’m very thankful for this blog and all of you (even our trolls because what the fuck, it’s the holidays).
The menu:
Turkey & turkey gravy
Mashed potatoes
Butternut squash w/butter and cinnamon
Herb and bacon cornbread stuffing
Broccoli and cheese sauce
Roasted sweet potatoes with sage
Cranberry sauce from the can!
Pumpkin pie
Pecan Pie
Chocolate coffee gingerbread w/coffee whipped cream
I’m going to have a food coma now.
Can-shaped cranberry sauce is the best kind, truly. It also goes nicely with ham. Happy turkey day down there (or, you know, up there if you live in Alaska) all you USians.
I love the stuff from the can. If my cranberry sauce doesn’t have those ridges, I am not down with it.
I’m not American, but Happy thanksgiving to everyone anyway.
Happy Thanksgiving all! And thanks for being awesome. You guys brighten up my life, for real. 🙂
Lol, it does have a funny name, but it has nothing to do with Richard Nixon. It’s just whipped cream, coconut, pistachio pudding mix, pineapple, and nuts. We all laugh about the name, and try to come up with other political scandal inspired food names, like Teapot Dome scandal pudding or Sanborn Contract tea. I highly recommend you try the recipe, because it’s so easy and delicious.
FYI, Futrelle has taken to censoring me again for some fucking reason.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it!
Happy Thanksgiving USians and MRAL!
I made a turducken ( smoked on the grill for 8 hours with apple wood added to the charcoal), green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rutabaga, and a pumpkin pie.
My friend came over with her family and brought greens, candied yams, potato salad, cheese cake and sweet potato pie.
A good time was had by all.
¡Feliz dia de dar gracias!
