100% Mathmatically Accurate! Manosphere blogger Dalrock on slut-shaming

"Kids Love it!" Another claim that is not 100% accurate.

The director of the first Human Centipede film – the one about a psychopathic doctor who sews three unwilling and unwitting captives together mouth-to-anus to make a sort of “centipede” — proudly declared that his film was “100% medically accurate.” That is, he found a  doctor who was willing to say that if one were indeed to create such a centipede, the second and third segments (i.e., people) would be able to survive, provided that you supplemented their rather dismal diet with IV drips to give them the nutrition they were lacking.

This dubious claim to 100% accuracy came to mind today as I perused a post by the blogger who calls himself Dalrock, a manospherian nitwit with a penchant for pseudoscientific defenses of old-fashioned misogyny. In a post with the whimsical title “We are trapped on Slut Island and Traditional Conservatives are our Gilligan,” Dalrock argues that the best “solution” to out-of-wedlock births is some good old-fashioned slut shaming.

Here’s how he breaks down the (imaginary) numbers in a post that is “100% mathematically accurate” – which is to say, not accurate at all:

Assume we are starting off with 100 sluts and 30 alphas/players.  The sluts are happily riding on the alpha carousel.  Now we introduce slut shaming.  It isn’t fully effective of course, but it manages to convince 15 of the would be sluts not to be sluts after all.  This means an additional 15 women are again potentially suitable for marriage.  This directly translates into fewer fatherless children.  This also makes the next round of slut shaming easier.  Instead of having 99 peers eagerly cheering her on her ride, each slut now has 15 happily married women shaming her and only 84 other sluts encouraging her.  After the next round this becomes 30 happily married women shaming the sluts, and only 69 other sluts cheering them on, and so on.  This process continues until all but the most die hard sluts are off the carousel.  You will never discourage them all, but you can do a world better than we are doing today.

Why not shame the fathers as well, while we’re at it? Dalrock explains that this just doesn’t make good mathematical sense:

Start with the same base assumption of 100 sluts and 30 players.  Now apply shame to the players.  Unfortunately shame is less effective on players than it is on sluts, so instead of discouraging 15% of them (4.5) in the first round, it only discourages three of them.  No problem!, says the Gilligan [the social conservative], at least there are now three fewer sluts now that three of the evil alphas have been shamed away, and all without creating any unhappy sluts!  But unfortunately it doesn’t work that way.  The remaining 27 players are more than happy to service the extra sluts.  They are quite maddeningly actually delighted with the new situation.  Even worse, the next round of player shaming is even less effective than the first.  This time only 2 players are discouraged, and one of the other 3 realizes that his player peers are picking up the slack anyway and reopens for business.  This means in net there are still 26 players, more than enough to handle all of the sluts you can throw at them.

Well, there’s no arguing with that!

Seriously, there’s no arguing with that, because it is an imaginary construct with only the most tenuous connection with how things work in the real world. “But … MATH!” doesn’t really work as an argument here, since human beings don’t actually behave according to simplistic mathematical formulas.

Film critic note: While the first Human Centipede film offered little more than a workmanlike treatment of a fantastical idea, the recently released sequel, which details the attempts of a deranged Human Centipede superfan to take human-centipeding to the next level, is actually sort of brilliant. If you like that sort of thing.

You further scream your sexist tripe by saying men respond to women being treated as equal humans with violence and rape. How fucking evil men must be. As long as we think of women as less than human we won’t commit violence or rape against them. But as soon as we think of women as human, it’s too much for us and we just gotta beat and rape them.

This from the guy who equates women dressing scantily with men committing rape. I love this guy. So un-self-aware.

NWOslave, biology and English used to be primarily male-dominated. Now they are female-dominated. Did men become worse at English and bio, less driven, less naturally drawn or willing to put forth less effort over the last twenty years?

Haven’t you heard, Ozy? Edumacation has become incredibly feminized and anti-male! Why, there are posters telling mothers to get their boys to respect women and everything. There is an MRowlyslave answer to everything but hard facts.

NWO doesn’t just think ladies suck. He thinks everyone who isn’t like him sucks. And everyone who is like him also sucks because they let the ladies and other Inferiors take over. He thinks everyone is both evil and miserable, zero exceptions. Even DKM cracked for puppies. NWO has never admitted to liking or approving of anything in this world.

The specific thing he hates at the moment doesn’t even matter any more. It’s a completely impenetrable worldview and he’s completely unwilling to question any part of it.

Fundamentally, NWO, there’s nothing new or coherent you’re willing to say to us and nothing at all you’re willing to hear from us, so… why the fuck are you here, seriously.

“Might be” is not “are.” If a person is qualified for the work, they are qualified for the work. You can’t make a blanket statement about effort and qualification based on gender.”

Yes you can. I can say with 100% assurance that the average man is stronger/faster that the average woman. I can say with 100% assurance that the strongest/fastest man is stronger and faster than the strongest/fastest woman.

These are just physical attributes, there are mental ones as well. Unfortunately, worldwide PC indoctrination calls it sexism. Ideology trumps truth and science.

Does this mean all men are better than all women in any particular field of science? Of course not. But if 100 men and 100 women apply for college, for any particular class, and of the applicants 70 men and 30 women are the best candidates, but 50% of the class must be women. We know for certain men are discriminated against due soley to gender.

We also know, as quotas are being demanded for CEOs, politics, education, in any realm of modern day society, a mans merit will be irrelevant due to his gender. Tyranny on a worldwide scale. Men need not apply. Must be left over sexism I guess.

Tell me? How long, in centuries, will men need to be punished for killing and dying to protect women and children at your behest? I mean a coupla hundred years ago the jobs were farmers, miners, shipbuilders, pretty much all manual labor jobs where women simply couldn’t compete with the best of men. How long will men be punished with the term, “sexism” for doing all those jobs. I mean seriously, you routinely mock men for not allowing women to do those jobs as if women could actually compete for those jobs a coupla hundred years ago. When will our time be served? When will we no longer deserve your distaste, disgust and revilement for doing all those things?

Man, the idea that you can get a guy arrested at your command flies completely in the face of reality. I don’t live in the US, so I’m not sure what things are like there, but my best friend got raped two years ago and NOTHING was done about it.

It was by a guy who was friends with her boyfriend. She was reluctant to tell anyone about it because he’d threatened to tell everyone, including her boyfriend, that it was consensual and she was lying to cover up her cheating. It was a he-said-she-said scenario, no witnesses, happened in her own home, etc.

Unfortunately, even though she didn’t tell anyone, he decided to spread the rumours anyway. Nobody at her school believed her side of the story and eventually she had to drop out because no one would talk to her. At this point there wasn’t really anything to lose, so she went to the police about it.

They did not arrest the guy. They didn’t do anything. They told her that, because she was quite young still, she couldn’t press charges unless her parents wanted to; that if she chose to, the court case wouldn’t begin for at least a year; that it would go on for weeks, if not months; that everything she had ever done wrong would be dragged up by the defense to attack her character; and that the chances of a guilty verdict were slim at best.

Needless to say, none of this appealed a frightened and lonely teenager, and she didn’t press charges. The guy’s reputation didn’t suffer at all, and he ended up going to college in another city, so even if everyone had believed her story it wouldn’t have had any impact on his life. Her boyfriend, decent guy that he is, believed her and stayed with her; they’re broken up now, but for entirely unrelated reasons.

What I know of this guy’s character leads me to believe that he was most likely guilty. I was at a party once where he tried to molest a girl who was passed out drunk. But there is a chance that his version of events is the honest one, and so he was never arrested. That’s how it works in the real world: people are innocent until proven guilty, even if that means that a lot of victims never see justice.

What the hell? I just spent the last two hours sitting in the street shouting, “THE FIFTY-SOMETHING DAIRY TECHNICIAN WHO POSTS ON THE INTERNET AS ‘NWOSLAVE’ IS A BAD MAN AND SHOULD BE THROWN INTO JAIL FOREVER WITHOUT TRIAL! HE CAN EASILY BE TRACKED THROUGH HIS ISP! I DON’T NEED TO GIVE A REASON! I’M A WOMAN!”

How are you still posting, NWO? My world has turned upside down.

I swear, it’s like NWO operates on some kind of anti-logic. He’s not merely illogical, he’s passed through logic and come out the other side.

These are just physical attributes, there are mental ones as well. Unfortunately, worldwide PC indoctrination calls it sexism. Ideology trumps truth and science.

How do you know this? Is there some secret other science that you have access to? Some Midwestern Journal Of Suppressed Research that had an article on it?

Did you actually learn this somewhere, or did you just decide it?

Also, unrelatedly: do you like anything? I don’t mean “women” or even “men” and certainly not “life,” but how about, I don’t know, Star Wars, or fuzzy kittens, or when they have free samples at the supermarket and there are little bits of cheese on toothpicks? Do you even like cheese, NWO? I’m reaching here.

@Quackers

I won’t even open your sciencenewsdaily link. I’ve been there before. It’s pure opinion based, leftist propaganda. There is no actual science in sciencenewsdailty. Unless of course science means opinion.

How an opinion based site can possibly use the term science in it’s heading shows quite clearly we’ve jumped the tracks.

Judging by what you’ve said I’ll assume the article is about a “confidence gap,” for women in STEM. Do tell, how much money, and how many new State agencies will be needed to overcome womens confidence gap in the fields of STEM?

I do wonder sometimes about Troll Epistemology. It’s all very well to say “I reject science because it’s biased,” but then what do you accept? If you never believe books or news, what do you believe instead?

It’s not as simple as “take what you’re told and then do the opposite,” because I never see conspiracy theorists trying to prove that red blood cells don’t exist, or that koalas are actually rodents. It’s always the same few things. They’re getting this stuff from somewhere.

Is there a Troll Science High Command that issues papers on what to believe, or is it more of a peer-to-peer bullshit network?

These things almost fascinate me.

Shorter NWO: I can’t handle it when scientists contradict me! Science that contradicts me is propaganda!

From the article:

“Women engineering students go to the same classes, take the same tests, and get the same GPAs as men, sometimes even higher,” said the study’s lead author Erin Cech, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research. “But, what we found is that the women in our study developed less confidence in their engineering expertise than men did and they also developed less confidence that engineering is the career that fits them best, even though they went through the same preparation process as men.”

Hey! Hey! I was right! It is a confidence gap! I had a feeling it was. Now we have scientific proof!

I say we spend lotsa money on improving womens confidence worldwide. Oh that’s right, we already do. I guess we’ll just hafta spend more, and open more UN and State agencies. Don’t fret about the cost. Women’s confidence is paramount at this economic juncture in history.

Dracula – Not even. He saw the word “science” and refused to read it.

Where he learned the things he does know is a fucking mystery to me.

Like, okay, “flouride.” He didn’t make up fluoride paranoia himself; that’s a common thing. But I’m honestly curious at what point someone said something to him and he believed it. He takes such pride at being information-proof, I wonder how the fluoride thing got through the cracks. I’m honestly curious where he reads things that he accepts as new information and incorporates into his worldview. It has happened at some point!

But God I can’t picture it.
