The Spearhead on Occupy Wall Street: It’s just a bunch of man-hating single moms

Ladies are icky.

You might assume that those Occupy Wall Street protests (and their various offshoots) you’ve seen so much little of on the news lately are all about, you know, Wall Street, and the economy, and the fact that the very people who got our economy into the mess it’s in are somehow all still richer (a lot richer) than you or me. But apparently that’s not it at all. Nope! Apparently it’s all about hating on the menz.

How so? Let us turn to the good fellows at The Spearhead for guidance. In a recent post titled Occupy Wall Street Is Just Another Vehicle For Misandry, the blogger known only as Pro Male/Anti-Feminist Tech (PMAFT for short) argues that the movement is overrun by dastardly “single mothers and other women demonstrating high levels of entitlement.” His proof: one lady he found posting her story on the We Are the 99 Percent blog who noted that she had “no job, 3 kids and cannot see a med … let the dudes pay my bills.”

You might assume that by “the dudes” the lady in question is referring to extremely rich dudes – you know, the 1 percent that the “we are the 99 percent” movement is focusing its attention on. But apparently PMAFT knows better than we do, declaring that

she is demanding men subsidize her, not rich men or billionaires (which would be questionable enough) but men in general.

Oh, but she’s not the only entitled princess on display on the 99 Percent blog. Here are two other women — chosen from hundreds of examples from the blog — that to PMAFT seem to epitomize the evils of female entitlement and man-hatred:

Imagine, women actually having the chutzpah to want medical insurance for young children! Blatant misandry at its worst!

The commenters whooped it up in typical Spearhead fashion. “Single mums want to fuck with John and expect Harry to support her and her kids,” complained Nico. “New-age gov-mediated cuckoldry.”

To the redoubtable Uncle Elmer, these women’s pleas were

symptomatic of the feminized educational system and media. Without a manly Patriarchy to call BS on a lot of these entitlement notions, we have several generations of women now sailing into the hard rock of reality. … nobody cares.

Finndistan, meanwhile, wrote a screed nearly as long as the OP, laying out his case against shoe-wearing single mothers. A condensed version:

So, single mom? Should’ve kept your legs closed… should’ve chosen a better man….

I am not in America, but my single friends who get laid by one of your friends once every blue moon are already paying for you and your friends shoes and bastards by the insane amount of taxes imposed on them with threat of imprisonment.

If these guys are the 1%; that makes you, the 99%, parasites….

You, found a dipsh%t welfare boy, made a baby, and we, the 1% as defined by you, who actually want to work and create something useful, not bastards, are getting screwed by the real 1% who steal from us to give to you, so you can buy shoes and create bastards.

As a man … more than one third of my earning … go[es] to feed your shoes and your bastards …

Single mom with shoes and bastards, bought and being payed for by my money.

Occupy Wallstreet just shows that the western man is the pinata of the western world. And then he dies.

This comment got 63 upvotes from the locals, but no shoes or bastards.

AfOR, not quite as longwinded, noted that he found the women’s pictures “hilarious,” adding:

Suck it down bitches.

If you blow me PROPERLY I’ll buy you a 99 cent burger.

This got 58 upvotes from the totally non-hateful readers of The Totally Non-Hateful Spearhead.

EDITED TO ADD:

Speaking of hateful, here’s a comment I somehow missed, from evilwhitemaleempire. Readers of the comments here will recognize him as a dickish dude who posts dickish comments here from time to time. But in this comment he really lets his misogynist flag fly. (TRIGGER WARNING FOR VIOLENT MISOGYNY) Referring to one of the women cited as “entitled” by PMAFT, who had noted that she has “no money to hire a lawyer so I can divorce my abusive husband,” evilshitemaleempire offered this advice:

Heh. If she’s telling the absolute truth about her life on that paper (questionable) then she needs to go back to that abusive husband and start doing some serious dick sucking.
And if he wants anal sex she’d better give it to ‘em.

At last count this comment had 16 upvotes and one downvote. Stay classy, Spearhead.

Try again, nulIpointer,

I never said that ” I was superior to other people because I was white and male”. I said that our economy, law, and society was going to hell in a toilet bowl because white men are being systematically excluded, dispossessed, and disenfranchised in the name of “equality”.

All you have to do is look around, the evidence is available and universal.

Please, we know already that you are an idiotic anti-semite with racist and misogynistic slavery/genocide dreams, but proper facts are not that hard to use. Even by a disgusting creature such as yourself.

Wow… Cognitive dissonance much? Is your mind capable of comprehending irony? I’m just… gob-struck. Can we put this in the Manboobz hall of fame?

By saying that our economy, law, and society cannot survive without white men in control, you are saying that white men are superior to others (because only they can run society properly.) Hence, you would be saying that you were superior to others because you were white and male. Logic. It’s not that complicated.

The enthusiasm for Dekraai emerged from a pack of cowardly, self-important Internet Warriors who reflexively side with any man that commits violence against any woman. No wonder you sympathize with them, they’re your kind of people.

Meller never said he was superior because he is white and male, he just said society is going down the drain because white men, the superior people, have to be equal with inferior people.

Say, DKM, what’s your demographic?

Huh. I hadn’t known that the Great Depression happened because women and people of color and immigrants suddenly took the economic reins from white men, and then gave them back super fast in time for WWII, at which point white men saved the economy again. But I know that to be true now, because DKM is never ever wrong.

DKM, do you ever consider a problem without automatically jumping to the conclusion that “It’s all feminism’s fault”?
Global warming is feminism’s fault, slow responses to natural disasters are feminism’s fault, ugly women, economic recession and domestic violence are the fault of feminism, is anything not feminism’s fault to you?
If you hear a song you hate on the radio, do you blame feminism? If you go to a restaurant and get food poisoning, do you blame feminism? If a tree falls in the forest, did feminism make it fall? If you were abducted by aliens, were they influenced by feminism?

It is worth noting that recovery from mishaps and disasters was much cheaper, more reliable, and complete in times two or three generations ago, when technology was much less developed. That makes the contrast between then and now even more startling.

By the way, DKM, at the end of the month, I will actually be involved in Extreme Home Makeover to help other tornado survivors who did not have insurance like me and are now homeless. Getting involved and helping accomplishes more than using a tragedy as an excuse to bash feminists! People here in Joplin are like family. We all are in this together. I don’t know what disaster recovery was like two or three generations ago, but I think that today it’s actually very good.

… This just proves that the MRM isn’t actually about Men’s Rights. If the Occupy Wall Street protests succeed, it will vastly advance the cause of Men’s Rights. Men will have better employment opportunities, suffer less from poverty, suffer less from the wealth-based inequalities of the court system, be able to earn a living wage, be taxed less (since taxing the ultra-wealthy and corporations will take up a lot of the burden they’re currently left with), will be able to get fair loans and morgates, owning homes may be in their reach again, get social services which will benefit them, etc.

But this would also benefit women (I’d say women they don’t approve of, but that has near 100% overlap with women), so ti’s evil. Nothing can be allowed to benefit women, no matter how much it benefits men, because the movement is about hating and disadvantaging women, not improving the status of men.

If it were really about helping men, you might also be willing to cooperate with feminists. Some of the so-called Radical Feminists really are outright hostile to men… but most feminists actually care about and like men, and would be glad to help you with some of the genuine inequalities that face men — especially since many of them can be traced, at least in part, to misogynistic concepts that feminists battle. The fact that women more often get custody in the few divorces that don’t result in joint custody has to do with the misogynistic idea that women are the ones supposed to take care of the children, which leads to their disproportionately being the “primary caregiver” — and family courts favor the “primary caregiver” for custody.

Higher conviction rates and harsher sentencing for violent crime for men (not that I’ve ever heard MRAs talk about this, despite there being a lot more truth to it than to the custody issue. Odd) have to do with misogynistic attitudes that women are too passive and weak to commit violence, and when they do, it’s an aberration.

Most feminists would actually love for women to be taken seriously enough that they were thought capable of violence, Most feminists hate that we live in a culture where rape and domestic violence are so taken for granted as things that happen to women than man-on-man or woman-on-man cases are rarely taken seriously or prosecuted. Most feminists hate the toxic narrative that either men or women are in some way “superior” to each other, or irreconcilably different. Shocking, I know, since you seem to think feminism is all about privileging women at the expense of men. It’s not. You might know this if you talked or read about feminism with anyone other than other MRAs.

In fact, do you know who does love the status quo that domestic violence and rape against men isn’t taken seriously, that women are encouraged to take care of the children (and thus are favored in custody cases where joint custody does not result), where women are considered weak and passive and incapable of violence? It’s not feminists. It’s those rich white heterosexual christian men you adore. It’s the 1% alluded to in the Occupy Wall Street protests. They’re the ones who produce media and marketing denigrating men and women alike, forcing misandrist and misogynist stereotypes on them. They’re the ones pushing the idea that men are useless buffoonish rape machines that can’t be trusted and need women to civilize them — feminists hate that one, since it absolves men of responsibility for rape or for actually thinking and being respectful to women. They’re the ones that are forcing you into terrible jobs. They’re the ones who have let the wage stagnate so you can’t afford to live without both the man and woman working. They’re the ones reinforcing the narratives that lead to higher conviction rates and harsher sentencing for men who commit violent crimes than women. They’re the ones you should be fighting — not feminists that, outside your bizarre rants, are actually pretty powerless in the grand scheme of things and don’t have the pervasive influence required to do all the things you credit to them. The ultra-rich have the power and influence to do what you suggest.

So… in conclusion, if you’re really in this for Men’s RIghts, not to misguidedly bash women and feminists, you should be supporting Occupy Wall Street, not denigrating it.

Meller: Maybe it’s that men who are against equality are actively sabotaging things?

Maybe it’s the dudes who are afraid that a majority black city might not elect another republican who sabotaged relief efforts?

Maybe a penny-wise, pound foolish gov’t gutted the budgets of the power companies (by given tax breaks to the white men who run Wall Street) and drove the more experienced workers out of the company.

I never said that ” I was superior to other people because I was white and male”. I said that our economy, law, and society was going to hell in a toilet bowl because white men are being systematically excluded, dispossessed, and disenfranchised in the name of “equality”.

No, you didn’t say “I am better because I am white and male”, you said things suck because white men like me aren’t in charge of everything anymore.

Big difference that.

DKM, if you’re so convinced that Feminism is the root of all the world’s ills, name one major company, one branch of government, one industry, one form of media that’s dominated by Feminists. And saying X must be because you think it’s hostile to white men doesn’t count. Try something that has a genuine verifiable feminist influence. I mean, if they run everything, there must be some example you can present.

Hellkell, you may be giving DKM too much credit. He may be ignorant and hateful enough to believe the fact that we’ve reached the point where grabbing the first black person you see and hanging them from the first tree you see and having a picnic with the still-fresh corpse is no longer a socially-acceptable response to a crime occurring and domestic abuse is no longer fashionable enough to be romanticized in musicals is a huge loss for white men.

1) I acknowledged the (admitted) point that Dekraai committed mass murder, had more than his share of paternal custody, and that, for that matter, he did better in the courts than many of the MRMs.
2) I never suggested that feminists cause hurricanes, electrical blackouts, or any other disasters. I said that hiring, promotion, and emergency response teams are seriously compromised by hiring or promoting women to the exclusion of men.
3) I NEVER apologised for the Wall St./madison Ave, Washington DC criminals, not in any posts here, on the Spearhead, or ANYWHERE!! I never was, and never will be a shill for debt driven, pseudo capitalist kleptocracy, that earns “money” not by and through production, saving, or entrepreneurship, but through manipulating debt–e.g. interest rate futures, derivatives, mortgages, credit default swaps, etc. They have been the frauds and swindlers that have been responsible for most of the suffering of the past five centuries, while standing aside and often letting REAL producers and entrepreneurs, from John D. Rockefeller to Steve Jobs, from Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse to Cornelius Vanderbilt and James J. Hill take the blame for their malfeasance!

Feminists, along with the Wall Street protests, are funded secretly by the above malefactors of great wealth as a sideshow distraction. Ask yourself where the money comes from for the press releases, for the newlettering and pamphleteering, for the lawyers who argue in courts for them, and spring them after their arrests, and on a more rarefied, but much more relevant level, where the millions, if not billions of $$$ come from to shepard their legislation, from Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson to FDR and Truman, to Johnson and Nixon (hey don’t forget the EPA, peacetime wage-price controls, closing the central bank ‘Gold window” on 15 Aug 1971.) along with the
first major ‘affirmative action” cases, and the court hearings that eventually ended up as Roe v. Wade 1974, the iconic liberal abortion ruling of the US supreme court. In all of these, along with much of the “civil rights” movement, the antiwar movement, the feminist movement, the tax-exempt foundations and family trusts of the super rich and billionaire paper shufflers played a determinative and decisive role.

Of course, every so often, some, like the Olins in the 1980’s and the Kochs today, go throught the motions of how much theywould love untrammelled “capitalism”, supporting this or that “conservative”, and emitting noises of how much they ‘hate regulation”.

Such noises mean nothing! They WRITE the regulations they supposedly hate, they staff the regulatory agencies, from top to bottom (mostly top), they–or their corporate law firms, provide the judges that rule on the regulation that they supposedly “hate”, and they elect the President who is supposedly a “traitor to his class” and keep re-electing him as long as he did their bidding!

It is the same thing when that billionaire court-jester Warren Buffett started babbling that he, and his fellow billionaires, are paying taxes that are “too low”–who do you think OWNS the government that he (and his bankster, lawyer, and insurance pals) are paying ‘higher’ taxes for? To him, and his ilk, paying taxes to Washington, or even to the UN, would be the same as taking money from his left pocket, and amid great fanfare about sharing the wealth, putting it in his right pocket! The only reply that Mr. Buffet deserves is that even progressives are not THAT stupid!

You are quite right; the feminists–of and by themselves have very little if any power! Theydo, just as much as the Pentagon and CIA, serve as very efficient conduits for the so-far unchallengable power of the bankster/corporate/media criminal elites who are bankrupting and destroying our country, and indeed, the world! For example, they put three consecutive feminist women in the enormously influtential post of Secretary of State, they put three utterly underqualifeid women on the US Supreme court, they installed another woman in the (arguably second or third most powerful position in the Federal government–Speaker of the House, with Nancy Pelosi; they took over the immensely powerful medium of network commercial Television with almost every program (the View and the Talk, daytime TV, Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres, Maury Povich and Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos and Dr. Phil. Don’t be fooled by the male(?) hosts, absolutely NOTHING appears on their shows, any advertisements, their guests, or the shows’dialogues, that is not calculated to appeal to women, NOT men, and is not calculated to increase the rivalry and stress that women feel toward men, and toward traditonal roles of womanhood! Even shows like “48hours, and “sixty minutes, that had a significant male demographic are carefully monitored and supervised to make sure that no significant masculine virtues, independence, thrift, self-reliance, defence of one’s family and property, and love of country (nowadys, it would probably have to be love of city or even neighborhood, since the country has really been subsumed into the criminal elements of our society since at least 1861 with the election of Abraham Lincoln.

Speaking of Wall Street,. how many people know that he was a railroad lobbyist and advocate before becoming President, and you know what railroads were like then!

The 1% alluded to is not even the “white heterosexual men I adore”. They are a transnational, non-racial, globalist, and corporatist elite who has no conception of race, nation, local tradition, sovereignty, or democracy. They are a “new world order” except that they are not very new, and they are not so much OF the world, as over it, exploiting govenrments, corporations, banks, and newsmedia in the pursuit of global domination.

Feminism is in their pocket, lock stock and barrel. The OWS, even if it “succeeded” would have nothing more to say about its effects tomorrow, than it had yesterday, for the past fourty years, if not since 1920–the year of both women’s sufferage and the Volstead Act!

Men, as I see it, face a two-front (at least) war, one against feminists, who seek to castrate us, since a race of castrated, mentally crippled, ignorant, brainwashed, tame “sheeple”, hopelessly guilt ridden regarding their race and their gender, is far less of a challenge to our rulers and masters than a race of entrepreneurial, self reliant, innovative, and shrewd revolutionaries! Feminists can do this–at least half of it! They can cause the men to doubt themselves, to doubt our sexuality, its virtue and its power! Your comrades preaching ‘racial equality’ are tasked with a different, but related responsibility: Men will not be at their best against the NWO if we are fighting each other instead of our masters and rulers. “Divide and Rule” works as well today as it did in ancient Rome, and it is easier for them with the apparatus of mass media and mass brainwashing that egalitarianism gives them!

Please pardon the somewhat unseemly length of this document. It contains a lot that i want to “get off my chest”, and I want to reassure you that I don’t hate women, I am simply angry what some of them are doing when we are all under siege.

You don’t hate them… unless they don’t agree with you. Then you think they are evil, and “unfluffy” and the cause of everything wrong in the world.

Then, out of love, you think it wonderful; a source of pleasure, if they get cancer and suffer an agonising death.

You dream of a future where (if they don’t become willing slaves), most of them are murdered, and the rest used as sex-toys; playthings for the powerful.

Forgive the brevity of this missive, it contains the essence of your beliefs, and assuredly shows how you despise women, and are angry that they don’t worship you, just because you are breathing.

You personally haven’t defended our system, but the MRM in general has.

Your rant is also remarkably paranoid. You claim that feminism is financed by people who counter it at every turn, based on notions of what Feminism is that would be dispelled in five minutes if you actually did research rather than relying on what your MRM buddies are telling you it is.

You’re also suggesting that Occupy Wall Street is owned by the people it’s protesting, based on the fact that they can make fliers and newsletters — here’s news for you: printing has become so cheap that damn near everyone who’s not living in a box can make fliers and newsletters. You can get a low-end Inkjet printer for less than $50 dollars, and a computer that’s more than sufficient for throwing together a flier for less than $100. You also refer to the army of lawyers they have fighting for them… but I’ve seen no evidence such an army of lawyers exists outside your accusations.

There’s this thing called reality. You might try looking into it. Go to the library and check out some books on feminism that aren’t titled something like “Why Feminism is Poisoning America”, just for a start. I’d also suggest you avoid people on the fringes of feminism like Andrea Dworkin, or people who are completely beyond the pale by Valerie Solanas. Although, judging by your tack, you’re probably surprised I don’t worship at their feet. I barely know who Andrea Dworkin is — just that she’s said a few really stupid things, and had lots more credited to her.

Real research: Try it! It’s fun and far more enlightening than paranoid ramblings.

Or, if checking out a book is too much work, try reading up on Feminism here: http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2010/01/feminism-101.html

Or perhaps any of a number of other online web resources. Shockingly enough, you won’t actually find much on feminist plans to destroy and enslave men — because they don’t actually exist, outside of the diseased minds of the MRM and Valerie Solanas.

Seriously. Just take a few fucking minutes to read something on feminism that isn’t by one of the “bright lights” of the MRM or those they come through from.

Oh, and incidentally? Feminism’s actual goals (as opposed to the goals you paranoidly believe it has) are intrinsically opposed to the Top 1%’s goals. They thrive on hatred and inequality, as it keeps people from turning a truly critical eye on them. They’ve been using it for a long time — the promotion of racism in the colonial era is thought by many sociologists to be part of an effort by the privileged to distract poor whites and blacks from their commonalities and keep them from banding together in uprisings. Feminism (real feminism, the kind that actually deserves the label) promotes equality and respect for all… which is bad for business. The MRM, however, promotes hatred and subjugation of women, which is perfect for the Top 1%. If you want to see the sort of things that actually get a boost from the top 1%, don’t look to Feminism or anti-racist movements, or any of that. Look to the MRM, and all the media suggesting that women and men are irreconcilably different, that they can’t truly co-exist in a meaningful fashion without women being subjugated. Look to the White Supremacist movement, and all the media that encourages and reinforces hateful stereotypes of non-whites. Look to the anti-gay movement, and the continued presence of anti-gay jokes and stereotypes in the media long after they’ve achieved acceptance among most. Look to Christian Supremacy, and the proliferation of anti-Islamic messages in media. Look to the anti-trans movement, and the fact that media still rarely acknowledges trans people exist except to portray them as evil or the butt of jokes.

For every hate group, you’ll find media reinforcing their views, big business and the wealthy overtly or covertly helping it out.

Take a real critical look at the habits of the wealthy and big business today, and the tactics they’ve used in the past — one that looks at what they’re actually doing, rather than trying to find evidence of what you already “know” they’re doing, and you’ll quickly realize that it sure as hell ain’t feminism or Occupy Wall Street they’re backing. You’re not part of the solution, much as you like to convince yourself of that. You’re part of the problem. They are playing “Divide and Conquer” — and you’re the pawn.
